one thing I can tell you is that if you breathe steadily and pretend to blow out a candle, it really helps a lot. The one time that I started crying during one, it was about ten times worse! I have to stay calm and steady. I'm gonna ask for that epi right away, I think. I'm exhausted by all of this.

You wanna hear something funny? I just baked brownies for the nurses at the hospital. Let's see if I go to the hospital before they're done...LOL!

Wow, it sounds like things are beginning for you! I do hope that you keep that little one in until week 37 as he should be fully ready to come out at that point. When do you hit that mark?

America Fererra is refreshingly beautiful. She was annoyed with the other girl in the interview (the tall blonde one from Gossip Girls) because the blonde was promoting her show while they were supposed to be talking about The Sisterhood. The blonde was saying the most inane things about the show including something about how they'd run out of people to pair up so they were starting to pair up with the parents. America rolled her eyes, wrung her hands, and slightly snickered. You could see the disdane in her face. It was brilliant! I loved it!!!

I'm having more intense contractions that are 10 minutes apart today paired with some bleeding. I've called labor and delivery and am timing them. We're not heading to the hospital yet, but this is more likely the real thing.

If I don't have a chance to talk to you in the next few days, I wanted to let you know that I've really enjoyed talking to you on this site. You're so funny and have been wonderful company! I promise I'll be back and I'll keep in touch.

Did LaWaiian catch and fish? I cannot stand fish since being pregnant. It's weird!

How was that movie? I saw the funniest interview clip with two of the actresses from that movie on Talk Soup. America Fererra was totally annoyed with that leggy blonde chick.

What do you mean by checking the weekly blogs? You mean the week by week thing? I read them all the time. Induction is popular in my week...as is talking about having booze...LOL! How the hell do you check your own dilation? Maybe I don't want to know. Not to be gross, but I felt Rose's head from the inside before a doctor did. It's been in a place where I could feel it for a month now.

Thanks for the pic comment. I went crazy at about 5 or 6 months pregnant. I visited my aunt in Seattle and we went to these amazing consingment stores. I literally got a thousand dollars worth of stuff for $100. My aunt also got about the same for us, and I've gotten tons of wonderful hand me downs! We have so many cute clothes for our little fashionista already!

You know what's funny..I think we met because I commented on your nursery! I really liked it.

You are so prepared buying carseats at 10 weeks! I hadn't even seen a doctor at that point! I have the Graco one. It's cute and simple. We have tons of things to carry her in, though!

I'm going to get the Britax for later. All of my friends swear by it.

LaWaiinan's scrubbing tile at 2am???? Sounds like he's nesting!!!!

I promise that I won't go away once I have Rose. You've been such good online company, and I'll be alone with the baby for about 6 weeks during the day. I'll want to hear all about the end of your pregnancy and see your little one, too.

So your carseat is in now? I thought you were worried about the fading!

I sent Russell to work today even though I was having contractions. I figure labor in first time moms doesn't go that fast, so I could call him to come home if he needed to. My hospital won't even admit me unless I have contractions that are 5 minutes apart for an hour. That means a great number of hours are spent laboring at home.

By the way, I LOVE your name...very pretty.

Lol. I have 5 wks left... and I am not looking forward to it. Today my boyfriend told me it would be cool if I went two weeks late so the baby would be born on his birthday. He is a police officer- I told him they would be investigating his murder for wishing that upon me. LOL

I'm glad you made a new friend today. I agree that pregnancy changes you...can't imagine how different we'll be once we're mommies! I'm so lucky to have pregnant friends and ones with little babies. I'm also lucky to have this site. It's been a great way for me to learn things and talk about every little symptom without driving my husband crazy. You've been particularly great company.

I've been having some mild contractions all day...now 20something minutes apart! We'll see if this is real very soon...

Haha!!! Choco-caffeinehead! That's me, too! I am such a coffee addict. I really cut down at first and still only have a bit. I get lectures and funny looks from 19 year old bitchies at Starbucks sometimes. It's funny to me. People and their opinions. I hear it's so much worse when you have a kid..people telling you what to do with your kid!

Russell's tired tonight so I'm going to try not to go into labor...LOL!

Oh, I'm just high risk because I have Gestational Diabetes, although I sometimes wonder if I just had a funky test. I have not had one elevation in blood sugars in 9 weeks. I've tested myself more than 250 times! According to the doctors, I should be having a hard time controlling my blood sugars, especially here at the end. I'm following the rules, but everything seems fine. Rose isn't measuring big and they say that she's not going to have problems.

I drink coffee several times a week, yummy yummy lattes! No sugars, though.

I don't think that I would be healthy if I didn't have to! This GD diet has ensured my health. As of today I've only gained 9 pounds! It's ridiculous.

You are just eating sugars for you and I. Thanks for the help.

I am soooooooo craving a hot brownie with ice cream and hot fudge...and a big coke...all forbidden for me until Rose arrives. Then I'm goin CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good for you for eating salad. I heat healthy crap all the time now.

My doctor did a procedure called a membrane sweep or membrane stripping. It was quite painful for me, but it doesn't hurt everyone. When they strip your membranes, they put a finger inside of your cervix and remove it from your bag of waters. If you're ready for labor, it will bring it on within 48 hours. It's a natural induction method used when women are 40 weeks or more (or when they have a high risk pregnancy like mine). It actually lowers your chances of pitocin...unless the bag of waters ruptures.
