Where did you get those drops? I have Mylicon but it smells like chemicals and I hate to give it to her. My doctor recommended it, but it kind of freaks me out.

I have to go see my nanny now. I'm going to be firm about the crib, but I have a few other things to talk to her about that I'm nervous about.

Rose cried last night unless I patted her butt hard. When my arm got tired, I got into the shower with her for about 30 minutes. Then I went back to the patting. As long as I was doing something with her, she only cried out a few times. Finally, she had so much gas. Poor baby tummy.

You should get yourself a little something for the party this weekend (next weekend?). I think you deserve it for giving birth to a beautiful baby boy and for losing 25 pounds!

well, you certainly are doing so well with your weight loss!

I went out and bought some new jeans tonight. They were size 12, but at least they weren't maternity. I think my maternity jeans have been making me sad. Now, I have at least one pair of jeans that really fits me. Perhaps that will make me feel human again.

Rose had a lot of crying fits tonight. I don't know why. This is the first time this has happened.

He's FINALLY here!!! Yayyy! I gave birth on Monday evening! He's the most precious thing I've ever seen in my life. I have never felt anything like this!! He's beautiful and I love him so much already!!! We just got home today, so we're getting to know him without all the help from the nurses! Wish me luck for night #1 at home!!!

Congratulations on your amazing weight loss!!!!!!

I was 165 before getting pregnant and 175 at the end. I'm 160 now and would love to get to 135. I had lost 5 more pounds but people gave me brownies and I had some sodas. I'm sort of stuck at 160 now and feel gross and flabby. I think I've never felt less attractive actually...perhaps this is the baby blues for me.

I went and saw my co-workers/ friends for lunch today. It was nice to hear that I'm missed.

Do you live near the beach? I live an hour from the coast, and I love it.

I accidentally bought size one diapers today! I think I'll have to return some diapers. I have hundreds and hundreds of size one!

My day was good. I went to lunch with Rose and to an early dinner with my girlfriends and Rose. Then I went shopping with her. That was way too much. I breastfed her in the fitting room, but I the whole outing was just way too much. She was cranky! It was nice to see my friends and to get some new clothes, though.

How are you tonight?

Would you really get a boob job? It looks so painful! I'd never, ever considered plastic surgery of any kind, but now when I look at my stomach I'm so disgusted. I want lipo, laser surgery, the works! Of course I'd never do it, but this is teh first time I'd even considered it!

Rose doesn't really coo or ah yet. She grunts, too! She's pretty quiet most of the time actually. I'm just waiting and waiting for her smiles. I'm really hoping that she gives me real ones before I go back to work.

LOL, we ARE opposite! My family has flat butts and Russell's does, too. Rose's butt is so little that I still have her in those tiny newborn diapers. Her butt is smaller than the palm of my hand.

Rose started spitting up worse in her second week, too. I think they are just getting used to the large amount of milk. Rose still spits up a bit after most feedings, but my mom said it's normal. In the newest development with her, she's pooping only every few days and pooting all of the time!

You are soooo good to be tracking everything. I didn't accomplish anything like that in the first few weeks. I was a mess! I'm still one!!!

Rose loves the sound of the shower. I wheel her into the bathroom in her bassinet or put her in her baby papasan and take a shower every day. I sing to her or talk to her. It does wonders for my self esteem. I'd feel like I smelled like rotten milk if I didn't do that.

Are you using any of that makeup that you have? I tried putting some on today, but I'm terrible at it! I feel like a 13 year old when I try to put on makeup!

LOL, women in my family are so well endowed it's ridiculous. I've been a D since I was 19. Pregnancy made me double D then double E. I just say double D because it's not quite as hideous! I like my boobies, but dear god!

My friend gave me a timer to log her feedings and which breast I use, but I haven't figured it out. I'm keeping a log on paper now.

I am so so amazed that Jerrod rolls over. That's insane!

I am by myself during the day, but I go out with Rose every day. I'm not a homebody, so I'd go crazy if I didn't get out. I swear I've given her a million immunities with this breastmilk.

Before I was pregnant, I wasn't the tidiest person. I think that the house is now cleaner than ever, but it was terrible in those first few weeks. Give yourself a break and heal. Hire maids again if you need to. Your house will be fine later.

I pamper myself by going out with friends and washing myself daily...LOL. Did you ever get a chance to go out and get your hair done?

My boobs were DD before the feeding. Now they're ZZZ or something!

Oh my gosh, your routine is INCREDIBLE!

During the day, I feed her on demand. I will start writing down her eating and sleeping routine on Monday. At night I turn off all of the lights and put her in her bassinet. When she wakes up at 4:30, I give her her paci for another half hour. I never talk to her during the night. After feeding I put her back to sleep. When it's time to get up, I talk to her a bunch and show her the sunlight.

I'm winging it, too. I think you and I are doing a great job winging it!

I wear nursing shirts that support my boobs or these lightweight shelfy bra things (they're like camis) at night. I'm not very leaky, but I tend to wash everything after a few hours of wearing it. I have enormous boobs, so I hate going braless! They're out of control.

How many hours does Jerrod sleep? It sounds like you're doing such an incredible job. I'm so impressed.

Thank you so much for the advice on the crib! I'm absolutely going to use the new mom freak out thing!

I have only pumped three times. I really don't like the pump at all, but I have to start using it more to store my milk. My boobs hurt like crazy for the first two weeks! Be careful or you could get mastitis like me.

I had a friend that held her baby all of the time for the first month. He's a wonderfully well-adjusted and happy kid that sleeps through the night. I think they just ask for what they need in these first few precious months.

My nanny came over for a visit today and brought a million gifts. She's great, but she mentioned that she bought a used crib and mattress for Rose and the other baby that she's nannying. I don't want to be rude, but I don't want Rose anywhere near a used old crib. How should I tell her?

see 40 lbs is good most people gain more than that and that was the point i was trying to come across with the dr. But she kept right at it, until i told her something..then she said well yeah maybe it is fluid retention, and the fact that i live in texas does not help any with this horrible hot and humid weather. I know for sure next time I will def find another doctor!! And how is your little one doing? Have you bought him a halloween costume yet???

Phew, I started cleaning like a MANIAC. Sorry I didn't get back to you. I just dumped Rose on Russell and went manic, cleaning out my refrigerator, sweeping, mopping, nutty!

YOu're so funny. I can picture you running around screaming to get that mosquito! I'm going to tell Russell about that!

Rose got baby shots at the hospital but doesn't get any more until 2 months. Your doctor will probably give you an immunization schedule at your appointment.

I think you'll feel better after you go to the pediatrician. Have you written a list of questions? I did because there's a long time between appointments.

You are so funny. It does take a while for them to respond. Enjoy the skin to skin time and the tender moments as your mom says. You have a lifetime of game playing. Now's the special quiet time. Rose is starting to look around more and she loves kisses from me. Just this week, she started looking at her mobile. Most of the time she likes staring at the side of her bassinet or pram or just gazing at the window sill. They all have right angles, so maybe she'll be a mathematician...LOL!

I have a ton of guests coming over. My nanny and her daughter are coming over in the morning, we have a kids birthday party in the afternoon and our good friends and their three kids are coming over in the evening. On Sunday we're going to go to an Italian American festival in a neighborhood nearby.

What are you worried about at the two week appointment? I think all they do is measure the baby, check sight and hearing quickly, and tell you what a great job you're doing on breastfeeding because he's gaining weight. At least that's what they did at my appointment. I do know how it is to worry, though. I always write a list of questions for my doctor. My OB said I was a worrywart! LOL, after that she gave me a hug and said I was a sweetheart, too.

Isn't the laundry incredible? I change Rose about four times a day, but I also have to change myself a few times a day. I'm grossed out thinking about wearing my pajamas more than once now due to the milk. My laundry and her laundry feels like 27 loads a day!
