Your stitches should dissolve. I had a ton of stitches and apparently some of them didn't dissolve. Some of them had to be clipped a few weeks ago as well. Anyway, I'm feeling much better now and I couldn't even feel her removing them. I was flipping terrified, though!

I know that Russell thought I was sexy and beautiful before, but I'm afraid he thinks I'm flabby. I'm too afraid to ask him. I'm just so used to him jumping on me all of the time. Even though we can't have sex, I wish he'd try...LOL. I know that's silly.

What are you and Lawaiian doing this weekend?

Hey! Well, I went to the doc's today, and the NST went very well..baby is doing good, and I haven't changed as far as the cervix goes..BOO!! But I'm scheduled to go to L&D on Wednesday evening at 630pm for Cervidil to help ripen the cervix, and I'll be staying there until they feel ready to induce me and to have the baby!!! I wonder how long until I get induced though?? I guess he'll be coming on Thursday! So, that's the deal so far.. I hope he comes before then, but if not, at least I know it's less than a week away!!
I'm sooo tired right now; I had another night of sleeplessness.. so I'm off for a nap!!

LOL.. as far as birthday parties go; my sister and I are 2 years 2 days apart, so we have ALWAYS had shared bday parties.. such a bummer! We got used to it, but it always turned into a contest of "who brings more friends to the party" when we were younger, LOL!!

I hope your little man is doing well!! Glad to hear he's all healed up from all that! Yes, the things boys go through; but MEN have it easy, LOL.. Us women get a break when we're babies, but we get stuck with pain as adults so we remember it!! Where's the fairness in that??

LOL!!! I think it's so wonderful and absurd that Lawaiian thinks you're going to make another baby pop out by March! Crack smoker for sure! At least he's letting you know how sexy you are!

What are the books that you're reading? Those sound like really cool ideas.

I got that oxy stuff too...it helped to scrub the powder in with a bar of soap.

I know that I've thrown away money on clothes for Rose, but every thing I've gotten has been on sale or consignment. Also, I just can't seem to help myself!!

My appointment was great! She took out my stitches. They had been bothering me so much and I thought I was just supposed to put up with it! Now that they're out I feel soooooooo much better. She did find a lump in my breast that I'm supposed to watch, but we think it's just a clogged duct. She gave me the go-ahead for swimming and said I could have sex in a few weeks. Honestly, I'm terrified of sex!

The best part of my appointment was when my doctor signed me out of work until October 22nd! That means I get paid for all of my maternity leave (excluding two days at the end). I had counted on losing several thousand dollars in pay!!!!

How long does it take to heal from the circumcision? Did he cry a lot afterward? I'm sure the pediatrician will do a fine job in showing me all that stuff, but I like to ask so I can feel more prepared..sorry for asking you all these Q's!! I'm fine with the TMI stuff..we all go through it, so it's really not TMI, you're right!
Well, our anniversary has come and gone..and still no baby! We had a great time together in silence :-) It was really nice. I'm glad he wasn't born on our anniversary; I want him to have his own day! But Friday (technically later this morning since it's a bit passed midnight) I have my doc's appt. to schedule an induction, which I'm nervous about! I hope it's soon regardless, though.
About 2 years apart is such a nice age difference for siblings..my husband and his sister are 20 months apart and they're so close, and my sister and I are 2 years apart and we're close as well. It's nice to have that!!
I'm actually going to try and get some sleep now; I didn't sleep well last night so I'm pretty tired tonight. I'll keep you posted on baby news!!

I have my post-baby doctor's appointment today. I'm nervous because I don't want her messing with my hoo ha. I'm nervous about all things down there!

Oh my gosh, I remember the poo spewing that happened at first! I threw away a few things! I also found ways to get stains out. I have a pre-treater by Dreft that I immediately spray on. Then I scrub the stain with a bar of Dove soap. I've had to throw a few orange stained things away, though!

I think you're doing great. I also found that I have to do so many things my own way. I haven't read any of my baby books since having Rose!

I learned some things from my hospital and breastfeeding teacher that I've thrown out the window. I was told not to pump, bottle feed, or introduce the paci for a month. She's had a paci since the beginning, had a few bottles last week, and I've pumped some. I say if the baby has a good latch and is gaining weight, introduce whatever!

Well, now I'm sort of hoping my little guy will stay in there for another day; my husband and my 4 year wedding anniversary is Thursday so we'd like to have a nice little dinner together and relax.. I know it's silly! Friday would be the perfect time to have him, so I keep talking to my belly saying, "If you could just mark Friday on your calender of days to be born, that would be great!" LOL!! I'm going to laugh so hard if he comes Thursday, though. Well, it's technically Thursday now (almost 1am.. remember sleepless nights while pregnant??), so time is running out! I guess we'll see what the night brings! So far, I haven't felt much at all.. light cramping earlier..but I think that may have been gas..I can't tell anymore! LOL Sorry if TMI!!
I'm so glad Jerrod is doing well! His poor little wee wee!! I'm so nervous about circumcision for my little guy..I'm afraid I'll clean it wrong and he'll start screaming! I don't want to hurt him.. did taking care of that work out alright for you?
We talk about having one more baby after this one, but not for at least 2 or 3 years from now. Then, I think we'll be done. What's your plan for that?

I'm officially 2 days overdue.
But, I'm doing ok, surprisingly! I'm not so comfy at night but other than that, I'm so distracted with getting things done, I don't think about it. Good news is that I have been losing my mucus plug for the past couple of days, not that it means much, but at least I know my body is working on it!
My next doc's appt. is Friday..if I don't have him by then, we'll pick an induction date, which i'd really like to avoid..but it is what it is!

Well if you visit CA, we must have a double date (or is it triple now that we have babies???)!

I plan on travelling with Rose this year. We'll do some road trips and train trips, but I'm also planning on flying to Arizona and Connecticut with her so she can meet her great grandmother and grandfather. I'm already nervous about the flying!

I wash Rose in the bathroom sink every few days now. Her hair gets oily quickly! She absolutely loves baths. I have the cutest pictures!!

Jerrod sounds like he LOVES to be warm! Do you swaddle him up? Rose already has a favorite cuddle blanket that she sleeps best in!

Is sounds like you're learning so quickly and doing so well.

Today Rose and I met Russell for lunch. It was really nice. He kept saying that she was so cute and I was so beautiful. He's a great guy.

Do you have girlfriends or visitors coming over?

I really did enjoy our last day together. We went to Palo Alto, a beautiful nearby town, and had lunch in a fancy place. After that, we went shopping for my mom. She got beautiful new clothes for herself, and I was so proud. She rarely treats herself well. After that, she bought us new towels! We came home for a walk with Russell and then had another yummy helping of her chicken and dumplings! It was a perfect day and I'm now very sad she's leaving. I even got weepy and that's not like me.

Did Lawaiian stink up the house with his fishies?

Rose still handles diapers well, and I'm so grateful for that, but she has funny little fits when she's hungry or gassy now. It cracks me up.

Oh, I'm so glad that you are home and your swelling is down! How long will Lawaiian be home with you? I had just under 2 weeks with Russell, not enough!

My mom and I are going out for a fancy lunch and some window shopping with the baby. It's her last day here, and I got sort of sad about it last night. As much as she drove me out of my mind, I'm going to miss her so so much. She's been so good with the baby and loves her so much. She's also told me that I'm a wonderful mother every single day. I'll miss seeing her kiss my little baby. Geez, I'm getting emotional.

My mom's leaving Tuesday and I'm actually getting kind of sad. She drove me crazy, but it's been great seeing her with Rose and she's been so so so helpful.

Boy you are sooooooo lucky that Lawaiian wants to change diapers. I have to keep handing Rose to Russell. He's wonderful with her, but I have to make him help me out.

I love your diet! I actually am going back on a diet when my mom leaves. I lost weight, but I've gained 5 pounds since she's been here! It comes from indulging and having some sugar again.

Your mom sounds like a wonderful grandmother.

My mom's driving me cuckoo!!!!!!!!!! I'm doing everything in my power to not tell her.

I lay down with Rose on the couch every morning. It's our girly alone time. I go to bed with Russell every night and snuggle him a bit. Then I get up and feed the baby in the living room. For me, it's important to sleep alone with Russell in the bed. Rose takes over so much of our lives that I've just found it important to keep one place just for us. I have had many friends that have slept with their babies in their beds and have stopped having sex. I guess I'm just avoiding that (even though there's no loving for a while now).

I have fallen asleep feeding, too! The other night a half hour went by and she was still eating! Has Jarrod laughed or cried in his sleep. Rose does it and it's the sweetest thing ever! Her cry is not a real cry...just a noise like "hooo hooo hoo hoo hoo." I love it!

I'm so glad your stitches are healed! Mine still bother me...and it's been nearly a month!

Are you eating chocolate covered pretzels?

That is so so so sweet that Lawaiian tried to send you to the salon. I LOVE your hubby! I got a haircut this week, and boy did it make me feel better! Hopefully you'll get pampered soon.

This morning my mom, Rose and I picked up some fabulous breakfast burritos and had a little picnic on my patio with Russell. After that we tried taking some pictures of the baby, but she was hilariously uncooperative. Tonight, we're going out to see some blues at a New Orleans style restaurant. If Rose freaks out I'm coming right home! Tomorrow, Russell has a surprise date planned for me. It'll be our last date for a while as my mom's going home on Tuesday.

Rose sleeps best with lots of warmth. I put her in warm pajamas and several blankets. She also sleeps well when she's beside me. I get up early and lay down with her. I still won't bring her into my bed, though.

Are you using Tuck's pads for the hemmroid? I heard those are great. Your mom is right...it will go away.

Happy one week birthday to Jarrod! By the way, he's absolutely gorgeous. What a perfect, perfect baby he is. I love his curls and perfect skin!

What are you doing with your weekend? I hope you're taking some time to heal.
