Hahha...hooter hider. My girlfriends came over today to meet the baby and were telling me about the hooter hider. It made us giggle.

People do give me advice, but I only have one friend who seems to know everything. She insisted about a million times that I should go naturally. She's coming over tomorrow, and Im afraid of hearing lectures about epis, going green, and not getting vaccines. She's not the kind of girl you can disagree with or ignore, either. She'll keep bringing up the same point over and over again.

Most of my mommy friends are amazing, though...and my MIL and mother have been wonderful. I'm pretty lucky.

I have a baby product recommendation for you. I got this thing called the Infantino Slingrider from Babies-R-Us for under $30. This thing is flipping brilliant! It's like a sling purse that you put the baby in (kind of like a hammock). I was able to go out for a long lunch and shopping for hours with Rose cozily tucked inside. She was so comfy that she slept for hours! Yesterday I used it to discretely breastfeed in front of my father in law. It's brilliant! I got a black one, so Russell wasn't embarassed to wear it when I went to the restroom at the cafe. I think this is a must-have if you and Lawaiian plan on going out in the first weeks.

People should really keep their stupid, ugly thoughts to themselves. That girl needs to be quiet about when you give birth!

Wow, you and Lawaiian have been together a long time! Russell and I dated a year, got engaged for a year, and got pregnant the next year. We've been together for 4 years, married for 2 now. At dinner tonight, I cried because I love him and Rose so much. I am NOT a crier, but I'm just so happy.

I try to rest. The baby needs to eat at least every 2 hours at night, so I'm in a daze. It's ok. I just have to work on getting her on a schedule in October.

Congratulations on being full term! I read your email, but I felt I was too loopy to properly respond! I can't wait to see your little one. You're going to have a beautiful baby!!!!!!1

Oh no, that girls going to crash and burn if she keeps trying to keep up with other people's lives. Babies and marriages aren't just something you do because other people are doing it!

I'm so out of it right now. I think the sleep deprivation is getting to me. I feel high...LOL.

I'm glad that you're feeling better. I want to hug Lawaiian for being so good to you.

I actually was at total peace while being pregnant. I'm usually a crazy workaholic spazz, but I just felt very calm and happy with myself. The funny thing is that I had the hardest class of my career, and even though I didn't feel like I was working as hard, I was very successful with them. I just got back the test scores, and my class had the highest in my school! Language Arts average of 88% and Math average of 94% correct! I'm so proud.

Rose is eating voraciously, but she's taking longer breaks between feedings. I'd suggest that you just work on breastfeeding in the first few weeks and nothing else if you can. It's a ton of hard work, but I know it's worth it!

You say such beautiful things. Thank you so much for your post.

I love the mommy part. I'm so exhausted and delerious, but it's so worth it. The end of pregnancy was so much harder than this for me. The sleeplessness finally has a purpose!

Rose couldn't be a better baby. She never cries! Russell keeps waiting for her to fuss, but as long as I feed her, we hold her and talk to her, and she's comfy, she's so content. You are gonna love being a mommy.

Breastfeeding is wonderful. It does hurt, but it doesn't compare to the discomfort I was feeling in my pelvis at the end of pregnancy, and nothing compares to labor for me. This actually feels like pain with a purpose! I keep finding out about all of these extra benefits of breastfeeding that are great. First of all, it's a beautiful bonding experience. I think it's really special. Also, it shrinks your uterus, so my belly is shrinking every day! It helps the baby with jaundice and because I fed so much in the hospital, Rose had the lowest biliruben score the pediatrician had ever seen! Also, I found out that if I breastfeed exclusively, I may not get a period for another 10 months! I have endometriosis and a lot of pain with periods, so that's an incredible blessing!
