18 hours ago You know, I wouldn't put much into what they say. You know, I have been dilated to 3cms for weeks now, and her head can be easily felt low down in my pelvis, but I still haven't had her yet, so it doesn't make a difference. I have heard of women, who have had a soft cervix, and only dilated to a fingertip, and their waters have broken, and they deliver within hours, it can happen, the body is a wonderful thing. Since this is your first, you may do all your softening and dilating in early labour, that can take a few hours or more, but a lot of first time mum's do that, and then after 3 cms you go into active labour, where you have the full on contractions. I don't get that anymore, the more children you have you tend to not get that lull, of nice soft contractions, as you are already usually 3-4cms dilated by the time the labour starts, and when the contractions come, they need your full attention straight away.
She will come very soon, don't lose heart honey, as I keep telling myself, you cannot be pregnant forever, you could easily go into labour today, and have her today, the body is that amazing, and no doctor or midwife can predict the moment you labour, it is an individual thing.

32.9 hours ago I am very niggly today, lots of contractions, hoping she comes soooooonn, hehe.
I can't quite understand what you are saying in your comment, did you have false labour contractions that have stopped, and the docs says you are not even close to giving birth? Sorry hun, I just couldn't make out what you meant.

Sunday, 11 May Yes hun, I know what you mean!
It is definitely time for this all to end, and a new phase of our lives to start with our little ones in our arms.
I am soooo ready to have her!

Sunday, 11 May Hey don't apologise sweetie! I lost you on my friends network, when they changed the way we accept our friends.
When I saw your pic, I realised that I hadn't spoken to you for awhile, and I am sorry about that. Don't get on as much as I would like, try to get on at least once a day, but, I can imagine it is going to be very hard to get on when I have Eden.
Any niggles yet for you? my7thbabyduemay20th2008 -

Friday, 9 May Oh that is right! You are off today!! Soooo lucky! :)
Well I hope that things are very productive for you!
I know what you mean about the swelling, I can't hang out and walk around all weekend without needing to rest because my legs start to swell and my feet hurt before the end of the day! :)
I am taking it easy on my legs, but I do still feel them being sore. This weekend I want to be realll lazy. Do some stuff around the house and a little more preperation for the baby.
I dont know about you but watching deliveries on TV get me all emotional now too.. I swear, I lost controls over my emotions the day I became prego. newmom08 -
Friday, 9 May I know, that is why I wish I DID live in Canada!! :)
I am in the same boat as you, 12 wks, non-paid. :( SUCKS. I am still trying to work out a gameplan because the closer I get to the date, the more I want to be home longer... (go figure!).
I know your excited... I work up @ 5am this morning with cramps in BOTH legs.. needless to say I couldn't fall back asleep, so I sat up watching Discover Health and all the early morning birth shows. :)
One lady had a 10lbs baby boy!! I was thinking, OMG, I would DIE.

Thursday, 8 May I am so jealous...
I would love this to be my last day too..
Better yet, I wish I lived in Canada where they give mom's 1 year maternity! :) newmom08 -
Thursday, 8 May Yes, you can buy it either online through their website, but I got mine from Ebay. :)
I know what you mean, I cannot wait to hold my little guy. The more I think about it, the more excited I seem to get.
A GF of mine should be having her child any day now... and I keep telling her she is my guini pig... I am going to see what works for her and what I can do better! :) I gave her the video as a gift and told her to watch it... so we will see how that works too! :) jenelle -

Wednesday, 7 May I am doing ok... just counting down weeks it seems! I know making it this far is great, but I swear... time goes SLOW. And when I start to think of the months left.... ugg!! ;)
I get to go to the Dr. on Monday so that helps break the wait up.
Did you watch the video; "The Happiest Baby on the Block"? It is VERY good... I highly recommend it. I just want my baby here now so I can try out the techniques! pregnantegyptian -
