Hello All,

I am currently a senior in college, graduating this May. I found out I was preggers at 5 weeks in September...I was very nervous at first but now I am excited. My partner (Mike) and I both have very loving and supportive families. So anyways...this pregnancy has pretty muched sucked since the beginning but thank God its getting better! LOL I was very sick in the beginning and fatigued but now things are better. I had strong cravings too in the beginning but as I progress im not really hungry anymore...and I have only gained 1 pound since my first Drs. appt at 5 weeks (Im now 18 weeks)...I guess its OK, my Dr. said not to worry...I will gain all the weight def by the 3rd trimester....

I love this site and being able to get advice from other women and mommys-to-be... I feel so much more comfortable knowing there are so many other ppl going through the same things as me :)

So I am finally going to start writing on here...I have been so lazy lately. So I fell down the stairs today (thankfully I feel on my rear instead of my belly)...everyone freaked out but Im OK! LOL it was kinda funny actually cause its happened before (not when I was pg though)... Ive been having a few cramps lately but the Dr. said its ok...I cannot wait for the 14th when we get to find out the sex! We are hoping for a boy :)

Well I went on Monday (two days ago) all excited to find out the sex. It was supposed to snow the night before so I was praying it wouldnt so my appt would not get cancelled. To my suprise it did not snow and we were able to get to the u/s place and 10 min after we got there the whole building lost power! Just my luck....thankfully, about 25 min later it was restored and we went right in....Baby was perfectly healthy, all 10 fingers and toes lol but would not open "it's" legs...So I was totally bummed for the whole day! But the good news is that we found a private 3d u/s place and it only costs like 99$ (plus 25% off our next visit) to do a 25 min 3D scan, gender determination, and we get a bunch of color pictures! So needless to say I am excited to go back and try again this coming Monday. Plus, the good thing is that if they cannot see the gender (again) I will be able to reschedule and come back for free to try again. So its like a win-win situation. Cant wait til Monday!

Got to find out today that we are having a little GIRL!!!!! I am more excited than I thought I would be...she is soo cute. Pictures are below. We even got a CD of 33 3D pictures to we can do what we want with them. It was great!

15 April 2008- 32w4d

So I havent written anything in a while, last weekend (apr 6th) was my family baby shower. It was lovely, everything was pink, and we got everything we needed. This Thursday (17th) is my second shower thrown by my friends from school. Im starting to get tired again like in the first trimester. I have also started getting BHs bad. Last time I went to the Dr. babys hr was 135 and she is head down and very active. I have been nesting too a lot lately. The nursery is finished (see pictures), and I have washed all of her things, and packed her bag for the hospital. Now I guess I just have to wait around. My graduation is the 12th of May so hopefully baby wont come any earlier than that date (I will be 36wks).

I will write more later, bye ladies

30 May 2008- 38w6d

Well...since I last wrote on here I have graduated college (may 12) and have been impatiently waiting for this girl to come out. haha Um...my original due date according to my last period was June 1st which is in two days but the Dr. pushed me back a week because my cycles were 31 days instead of 28...Im hoping that she messed everything up and the baby will come around the 1st or so. I am so sick of being pregnant, my back is killing me and it hurts so much to walk. Ive tried castor oil twice and it didnt work either time. I also have been drinking red raspberry leaf tea and taking evening primrose pills..nothing works my girl is stubborn. Hopefully the next time I write on here it will be my birthstory....

You can get them at most grocery stores and I would think all pharmacies will have them. Some of them have to be kept refrigerated, so just be sure to read the label. Yep, up the vjayjay :-), I am also very prone to yeast infections and sinus infections. I have always said that I hate taking antibiotics for the sinus infection because the yeast infection is almost worse and I always get one if I take antibiotics. When I gave it to my son I just opened the pill and mixed it with a little water to make a watery paste out of it and then I just let him suck it off of my finger. He didn't seem to mind it. Also, you can make that same paste and put in on her bottom or my pediatrician said you can also use gyne lotrimin (sp?) on the diaper rash. She could get it on her bottom and not in her mouth or vice versa. The acidophilus should help no matter where she's getting it.

My son and I passed a yeast infection back and forth for months. The nystatin he was given would help while he was on it and then as soon as I'd stopped it would come right back. What I ended up doing was taking acidophilus and also giving my son some and that was the only thing that worked to finally get rid of it. Acidophilus is the good bacteria in yogurt that kills the yeast, you can also take two pills and shove them you know where :-). It's gross but it does work. If you're already using the over the counter stuff and that works for you, don't worry about putting the pills up there too. Also, instead of putting the antifungal stuff on your nipples that has to be washed off and isn't good for baby, rinse them before and after each feeding with a solution of half vinegar and half water, this will kill any yeast that may be on them and it is safe for your little one.

Hey! Michael has been teething for a while too. He has swollen bumps that are getting bogger and more clear, but they are taking forever to push through! I hope Kennedy doesn't make you wait so long!! Are the teething tablets working for you? We LOVE them.

No weaning doesn't mean cutting our breast or formula milk, weaning like maybe baby rice which is mixed with there breast/formula milk and introducing a few baby food like mashed veg and fruit etc most woman still continue the milk with this until at least 12 months i will do this combined with a few baby foods at around 4 months +
I don't breastfeed anymore i did it for a month n then get mastitis for me i just couldn't carry on she is on the best formula that money can buy though

did you think i meant stopping all milk feeds lol in that case i understand what you mean 12-18 months old now

Hiya no im not in a hurry to wean, its just i know a few people have started already, they say to start weaning between 4-6 months i think its nice for them to have a bit of food they enjoy it.

But ive never heard of not weaning a baby until 12-18 months a baby needs to start before than for development is that what your going to do ?
