Our little Camryn is here! She was born at 12:07am October 24, 2008. 6lbs 11oz, 19" long. She came 2 weeks early, I guess she was in a hurry! She is a great breastfeeder, and I really love it, it's such a wonderful bonding experience! It feels like a dream, when am I going to wake up? =)

March 10

Had another hcg blood test today because it was so low last week (only 193), and now my level is 5,255! So my levels are rising nicely! My first prenatal appointment will be on March 31.

March 31

Today we had our first prenatal appointment. They did an ultrasound and we got to see the baby! Now it really does feel like I'm pregnant! We saw the little heartbeat flickering and everything, they said it was 140 bpm which is within normal range for 8 weeks. My next appointment isn't until May 19th, I'll be 15 weeks by then. I was soo scared that there wouldn't be a heartbeat or something, I feel 100% better today!

April 10

Got a call from the doctor saying the cystic fibrosis test came back negative. Yay!!! Really wish I had an appointment before 15 weeks to hear the heartbeat. That's a long time to wait! I'm not too impressed with Kaiser Permanente so far...

April 14

Well, I ended up renting a fetal doppler and I found the heartbeat today! It brought tears to my eyes =) The bpm was 165. It is soo hard to find it though this early! Hopefully it gets easier to find in the coming weeks when the baby is bigger because I love hearing it!

April 17

Had a scare last night with a little bleeding, saw my nurse practitioner today and they did an ultrasound. Everything was fine thank god!!!! The baby was moving around so much! It was so good to know everything was okay. Got some great pictures, it actually looks like a little baby now!

May 9

Found the heartbeat last night with my doppler! It is so hard to find!!! The heart rate was about 160, I guess old wives tales say it's a girl if it's over 140?!

May 13

Well, things haven't been so great lately. I had bright red bleeding on the 11th and today. The doctor says I have placenta previa. So... no sex or exercise for 5 weeks!!! That is going to be hard, I love working out! I guess I can still go on walks. He said that the placenta usually grows upward as the uterus gets bigger, if it doesn't I'll be high risk and probably have to have a c-section. I am so upset right now! But, at least the baby is okay.

On a good note, I took the intelligender test and it said it's going to be a boy! We'll see if it's correct on June 16th!

May 29

Well I haven't had anymore bleeding since the 13th thank God! I've been picking up a consistent heartbeat of about 150 every few days which makes me feel so much better. I think I've been feeling little movements, but sometimes I'm not sure if it's gas or baby! Only 2 1/2 weeks until we find out the sex!!!

June 6

Definitely felt the baby move just now! I know it wasn't gas (lol) for sure! It was on one side so I'm guessing it's the baby's feet! Amazing!!!

June 16

We found out today that we're having a healthy baby girl! Everything looked great and she's even measuring a little long already! She's gonna be tall like her mommy! Also, they changed my due date to Nov. 6th so I'm now almost 20 weeks! Also, Chris (my hubby) felt her move last night! He looked so cute and excited =)

July 14

Almost 24 weeks!! She is moving around a lot now, I love it!! I am finally looking pregnant, strangers can actually tell now! I absolutely love the name Camryn Faye, but Chris isn't so keen on it. I have to convince him! It's getting so hot out, I can't wait for September to come so it will cool down. Have gained about 15 lbs and feel huge, but I guess I'm right on track!

July 29

I have my glucose test next week... I'm worried because I love my sugar!!! I'm trying to cut back on desserts, but it's so hard! I really hope I'm not diabetic. That would suck! I've gained about 18 lbs, still on track... I really don't know how I'm supposed to gain only 25-30 when I still have 14 weeks left!! Doesn't seem possible. I'm really liking the name Camryn Faye too, but my hubby isn't so sure... He hasn't come up with any names!

August 12

Passed my glucose test! My level was 103. I guess 80-140 is normal. Also my iron level is good so no anemia! I made my next appointment for September 3, and they'll do another ultrasound to see if I don't have placenta previa anymore. I really hope I don't because I don't want to have a c-section!!! I haven't had anymore bleeding since around 10 weeks, so I'm pretty sure I don't have placenta previa anymore but you never know! Can't believe I'll be in my third trimester in two days!!

September 4

I had another ultrasound yesterday with the perinatologist. He found that my placenta had moved up and out of the way!!! It's at least 3cm from my cervix, which shouldn't cause any problems during delivery! Also, they double checked and it's definitely a girl! She is in the 30th percentile for weight right now, she is 3.2lbs. She should be about 6.5-7lbs at birth. I hope that's true!! I don't want to have a big baby! She is also very low and head down so there's little chance she'll flip the wrong way! I can't wait, 9 more weeks!!!

September 18

Had my baby shower on the 14th at my Mother-in-law's house. It was so wonderful!! We had about 25 people there! We played guess that poo which was soo funny (melted chocolate in diapers) and a trivia game about mommy. Got soo many cute clothes for Camryn and tons of baby stuff off of my registry! I can't wait for her to be here to wear them. Also, my really good friend had her baby on the 12th, her name is Taylor. She is absolutely adorable! Makes me so much more excited!!!

October 2

Last weekend I was in a maternity fashion show downtown! It was so much fun! I wore 4 different outfits and made $300! I wish there were more shows like that, it was easy money! Camryn looked fabulous =) I'm now 35 weeks and feeling huge, but not too uncomfortable yet. They measured me at 34 weeks and I was measuring 32. I really hope my due date isn't off. I have my 36 week appointment next week and hopefully I'll be measuring closer to 36 weeks! One month to go!!

October 21

I had my 38 week appointment yesterday and I am 2cm and 70-80% effaced! Dr. Nelson also stripped my membranes so hopefully it will be within a few weeks! He guessed that she will be 7.5-8lbs which doesn't make me happy, the perinatologist thought she would be 6.5-7! But it is impossible to tell exactly how big she'll be... Just as long as she's healthy that's all I care about. I only have three more days of work which is exciting! Then I can just get the house ready for her and finish up some other things.
