Hello =) Just wanted to do little update on here. I had my son 4 weeks early! I'm just thankful he was healthy. Labor was horrible! I went in around 11pm and was monitored because I kept having contractions. Funny thing was I was already dilated to 7 cm by the time they decided to check me. They didn't want the baby coming early so they also had given me a shot to stop contractions. Obviously that didn't work because around 3am I was dilated to 9 cm and they admitted me. The midwife broke my water around 3:30 am and we delivered my beautiful son Brennan around 4:21. My oldest son who is 11 months is pretty jealous but what can you expect from an eleven month old?!? It's hard having two children under the age of one, but we're pulling through day by day =)

Wow, I can't believe I'm back on this website! My first son Tristan is almost 8 months old now and we are well on our way with our next son who I am 6 and a half months pregnant with! I was really hoping for a girl, but it's alright. We've just found out that our baby has cysts on both sides of his brain and I am so scared because I don't know what is going on. A lot of people have been telling me it's going to be okay, but I still worry. We have an u/s next month so hopefully they will be gone by then and we will have a healthy baby.

I recently graduated from the cosmetology program so all I have left to do is sign up and take my state boards for my license! I have a job lined up already so it's great.

Tristan is a handful and getting naughtier by the day! I'm not sure how we are going to handle two children under the age of 1 but we'll see how it goes! YIKES!

I haven't updated for a while now! I've been so busy with school and the new baby. Ok, he's not so "new" because he is two months old now! hehe. I never expected motherhood to be so hard! But everyday I wake up to my son makes me realize how thankful I am to have him in my life and it makes the day 110% better :) Here are some pictures of my son Tristan Kai Thor.

Me and Tristan right after he came out!

Tristan at two months :) Awww!

Me and baby Tristan. He doesn't wanna cooperate!

After 15 hours of labor, our little guy is finally here! He weighed in at 7lbs and 7oz and was 20 inches long. My water broke after I woke up and went for a walk with my husband. After they ran some test on the fluid they announced that it was amniotic fluid and had us stay overnight. My husband wanted my labor to be induced because he wanted to see baby so badly so I agreed. Contractions were a pain in the butt and I never thought the night would be over. Took painkillers and had an epidural and 15 hours later and only 30 minutes of pushing, Tristan was born at 10:04 AM!

August 14, 2007

The ultrasound went by great! We got to see his cute chubby little face! He was fast asleep so his little hands were blocking his face the whole time which was a little dissapointing but what can you do? Here are a couple pictures of baby Tristan!

August 13, 2007

Yesterday was my 22nd birthday. I'm a little bummed because I'm getting OLD. Erg. But I am excited that I am 32 weeks! The days have been dragging by since school hasn't started yet. I'm on break for another two weeks! Geez.

I am excited for tomorrow because we're FINALLY going to go get a 3d/4d ultrasound done in Saint Paul, Minnesota! I cannot wait to see what my little boy is up to and I really want to see who he looks like! I won't be able to sleep a wink tonight because I am so excited. Our appointment is at 1PM so I will update tomorrow w/ a video and pictures of baby Tristan :) I also need to pack my hospital bag also. So much to do and to little time!

My beautiful baby boy; Tristan Kai Thor.

July 23, 2007

I am almost 30 weeks! I went in for my diabetes testing and it came back negative, but the bad news is that I'm low on iron and I also have a UTI =( I guess thats better news then having my test results come back positive :) I'm so tired of being pregnant. I am so happy that baby Tristan is almost here. 10 more weeks! It seems like an incredibly long time, but this whole pregnancy has gone by so fast. I have a week left of school then I'm off until August 27th! I'm so excited because I really need time off. My body is so TIRED out from carrying my son and I'm TIRED out from LIFE!! When I return to school in the Fall, I'll be 35 weeks! I can't wait to see my baby boy for the first time :)

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hello, Just wanted to send you a quick message...I had my daughter at 35 weeks a year and a half ago and although I was petrified she was perfectly healthy and we left the hospital with her in 24 hours. I was 3cm dilated for a few weeks and finally my contractions wouldn't stop one night so we went to the hospital and I was at 5cm so they allowed me to deliver her. I was not put on steroids nor given a shot of any kind but I think it's best you were given the steroids to help lung development. I will keep you in my prayers but I just wanted to share my story with you because I have been there and the outcome was positive just like I know yours will be...good luck and keep us posted!!

CPC's don't necessarily spell trouble. Everything will be fine! From Wikipedia:

Choroid plexus cysts (CPCs) are cysts that occur within choroid plexus of the brain. The brain contains pockets or spaces called ventricles with a spongy layer of cells and blood vessels called the choroid plexus. This is in the middle of the fetal brain. The choroid plexus has the important function of producing a fluid called cerebrospinal fluid. The fluid produced by the cells of the choroid plexus fills the ventricles and then flows around the brain and the spinal cord to provide a cushion of fluid around these structures.

CPCs can form within this structure and come from fluid trapped within this spongy layer of cells, much like a soap bubble or a blister. CPCs are often called "soft signs" or fetal ultrasound "markers" because some studies have found a weak association between CPCs and fetal chromosome abnormalities.

It is believed that many adults have one or more tiny CPCs.[1] CPCs have no impact on an individual's health or development or learning. The fetal brain may create these cysts as a normal part of development. They are temporary and usually are gone by the 32nd week of pregnancy.

Hi! First of all, Tristan is SO CUTE! As nickee posted, don't worry about the CPCs. I know it is scary to hear, but our baby had the same thing, cysts on both sides, and she is fine. They did further testing (not an amino, just bloodwork) and everything was great. Many people live their whole lives with the cysts, or like nickee's baby, they often go away. Don't worry! Hugs!

nickee - Monday, 2 June
Hi there, my baby was too diagnosied with CPC. I just want to let you know that it is very common! And the almost always go away on there own. As long as there are no other indicators of a problem you have NOTHING to worry about. I know that is easy to say, I was a basket case until we got word that the cyst had disappeared. I am sure your baby is happy and healthy and the cysts will go away. You and your family will be in my prayers.

I am sorry you are going through this. I don't really know anything about the cysts, but I googled it, and here is what is on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Choroid_plexus_cyst

It does not appear to be life threatening and it said that the cysts are usually " temporary and usually are gone by the 32nd week of pregnancy".
Good Luck and stay positive!!! : )

I know UTIs can cuase cramps but if they are that bad and rest and water are not helping I would go into the dilevery and labor room just to make sure theyre not contractions. I had cramps about a month ago and when they didnt go away my nurse had me come in. They wernt contractions but I felt better for knowing.
