Hey there ladies! My name is Devin and I'm a high school teacher in Mexia Texas. This will be my first child and I'm really excited so far. I have a 12 year old step son who lives with my husband and I and he has just been amazing so far and I know he will be a big help when this baby comes. My husband and I just celebrated our one year anniversary! I can't believe it's already been a year. BUT....7 months of that have been me being pregnant!! (June 17, 2006). This baby was a big surprise for us. We thought this spring would be a good time to start trying since we were both teacher's (he's the girls athletic director/head volleyball coach). I had been on birth control for 9 years and I don't know how many women told me that I should go ahead and get off b/c it might take awhile to get pregnant. Well that wasn't the case with us. We got pregnant within a month. I feel very blessed that this little miracle is inside my body. I just can't believe it's happening so fast. But I will have to say we picked the worst timing for two teachers to have a baby!!! haha! But I am not complaining one bit. I also have been coaching, but this will be my last year of it. There's no way we will both be able too. I know Aug. 25th will get here before we know it!
So far the pregnancy has been a breeze for me. No sickness! I've been really tired in the afternoons. I think now that basketball is over with I won't be so tired. We will find out the sex in about 3 weeks. We can't wait! Leven wants a little girl so bad. I don't care...as long as this baby is a HEALTHY one!
Feb. 28th!
I'm finally starting to show a little bit! I am a teacher and every day when all the other teacher's say hello they just look at my belly....and then they say, "We don't think you are pregnant!" I think it's funny. Over Spring Break we are finding out what we are having and I can't wait to come back to school and tell everyone and show them all the pictures of this baby instead my stomach that they don't think exists. I'm getting out and walking in the afternoons. I feel it makes me sleep better at nights. That's the only problem I've really had so far with this pregancy. SLEEPING AT NIGHT!!

March 5th
I have my 3rd doctor's visit today. It's always so nice going back to the doctor. Today I "wish" he was doing a sonogram to find out the baby's sex, but he's not! I guess he will just check my blood pressure and we will get to hear the baby's heart beat again. And I'm not complaining about that at all. I just want to make sure this baby is doing alright in there. I always get so nervous at first. I haven't gained hardly any weight at all. Maybe 5 pounds, maybe!!
March 12
IT'S A GIRL!! I can't believe it!! My sister-in-law did the sonogram for us this morning and she saw it right off. The legs where wide open. We wanted a girl and so did the whole family (we have 3 nephews, no girls yet!). So she said y'all don't cry ok, so I thought it was a boy, but then she said y'all are having a girl. Well of course I cried. We are just thrilled...she took lots of pictures for us...now I can finally start buying clothes...It will be nice to hear my doctor say it again at my next appointment though.
March 19
We've decided to name her "Taydem Elizabeth"...Elizabeth is my middle name and it also runs in my family. My grandmother's name is Lady Elizabeth. Then after that there were 4 grand-daughter's named after her...Whitney, Devin, Sterling, and Peyton. Now Whitney has a daughter named Rylea Elizabeth and I will have Taydem!! And I'm sure it won't stop there....
March 20
Yesterday I finally felt my little girl move. I have probably already felt this little movement before but yesterday was quiet obvious what it was. I felt it twice back to back, two little quivers in my stomach. So exciting!
Tomorrow I'm having the triple screen test done to check for down's and any other birth defects. I'm pretty nervous about this test. Mainly because I've been taking my seizure medication this whole pregancy. Keep me in your prayers, thanks!
March 28
Got the test results back from my triple screen test. The baby is just fine...Praise God! I was so thrilled when I got the message from my nurse. I just couldn't believe how fast we got the news. It only took three days to get the results.
April 4th
20 weeks pregnant! Finally got a belly shot up...
27 weeks! 
28 Weeks !
Taydem at 28 weeks! She was sucking her thumb, rubbing her nose and eyes, and making faces at us. She weighed about 2 lbs. 9 oz.

You story of moving reminded me of my good friend that just moved (she was actually my neighbor). She has 4 children - 6 and under and moved without getting a babysitter for them! Wow! I really can't imagine that one!

Oh she's a sweetie! Gosh, you make me want a little girl! I LOVE the pic you have as your profile pic. I love the lighting and everything about it, especially those pigtails! Hope everything is going well. Thinking of another baby yet? I think a lot of girls are getting ready to try. Not me though. I'm selling all my maternity clothes and baby items. I got my hands full! You are definetly right! That baby stage is great.They love to cuddle and everything they do is simply fun to watch-little new things come up almost everyday and you can't get enough of it ;0)
I am the oldest in my generation in my family so before me there were no babies for the longest time-i only had baby cousins when i was far off 8 yrs old approx.I always loved that baby stage with all of them.I dont remember much of my 2 sibblings because we were so close in age and we were mostly fighting but the three of us would shut up and loooooove when someone would visit us and bring a baby that age along ;0)

Things are going good, but I hear you about the being sick thing. Anna had a horrible cold for over a month. Finally her doctor put her on some meds and it seemed to have cleared up, but now it looks like it is coming back. Ugh! I just want warm weather and no more colds! Taydem really is quite the cutie. I love the pigtails:) Has she started crawling? Anna isn't even attempting it!
