Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

Hey..I wasn't technically diagnosed with anything yet but I had my diabetes test which came back fine & they also said my my thyroid level was "kinda" high..they wouldn't elaborate so Im still in the dark! I have an appt. today with an endocrinologist & Im scared out of my mind!

heyy i saw ur comment on the thyroid levels thing.. i have the same thing i think.. or mine is hyperactive and theyre trying to lower it so i think its opposite from yours.. not sure.. im still confused about it but my doctor was concerned and put me on some medication. and they said once u have it, it wont go away. its not a big deal though but it just sucks to have it. i feel the same and everything but doctor told me i could get overweight if i stop taking my medication after my pregnancy so blah :( and everytime i come in, they take my blood so ive been getting my blood drawn all the time since they found out.. but i think u have the opposite of what i have so.. yeahh dont worry about it though :)

I got a terrible cold in January, just after I found out I was PG. I used a Sinucleanse pot (http://www.sinucleanse.com/) which is kind of wierd, but prevents sinus infections. I also got some nasal strips so that i could actually breathe & used two pillows so that I was at a bit of an incline. I've also hear that putting a bit of a menthol rub (like Vicks vapor rub http://www.vicks.com/vaporub.php) on your feet can help w/ that stuffy nose stuff.
I just tried to wash my hands A LOT and stay away from people!!!

To avoid colds and/or lessen the effects of them, I have been using ZICAM swabs and they are fantastic! You apply them inside your nose and I swear, it has kept me from getting all of the colds that have been swirling around me. My husband's, mom's, friends colds have all been avoided. Maybe it's just coincidence and dumb luck, but I'm continuing to use the ZICAM just in case :)

Hey there. Long time, no chat. You are a very patient person to wait to find out what you are having. I can't...I want to know!! I find out on May 1st (hopefully). Seems like everytime I get an ultrasound, the baby is moving all over the place!!

This is my 2nd pregnancy, and I'm having the metallic taste too. With my first one it didn't go away until I had the baby. This time I find that chewing peppermint gum helps especially after eating!

Congrats on making it to 13 weeks! I have an Ultrascreen test today to test for Down's and other Chromosome disorders. Wish me luck!

I'm from Adelaide. So you haven't got m/s either huh. I haven't had my first scan yet.. so when you read the horror stories of no heart beat etc.. it makes you so worried. This is my first pregnancy too. I'm so excited but keep having to remind myself that we are not out of the danger zone yet. My first scan in 4th of march.. hanging out for it.

I am so sorry to hear about your m/c. I don't know if you believe in GOD, but I will say a prayer for you anyway. :) I don't see the doctor for 2 more weeks! I noticed some people went earlier (around 6 wks). I am just anxious right now because I want everything to be okay. Especially since I am 36! My husband and I are waiting until 12 weeks to tell our families.

My friend worked in Northern Sydney for quite a while... he took the train up from Wollongong everyday... such a long commute! It is so pretty up there... **sigh** I haven't been there in almost 5 years, WAY too long, but it is a very pricey plane ticket. I suppose it is quite warm there right now huh? 30's? It is SO cold here, I live near Chicago and it is ridiculously cold (like -20C). YUK!
LOL about the smell of shampoo... tonight hubbie had barbeque sauce on his chicken and it definitely did NOT agree with me. I actually asked him to move it away from me! LOL. Keep in touch, ok?
