My husband and I are expecting our first baby!! Baby is a BOY!! We are very excited. My favorite parts of the day are when I feel Baby rolling about in my tummy, and I just adore the times when his Daddy is talking to him! I have a great husband whom I love SO VERY MUCH!! I wouldn't trade my life for ANYTHING, but I will DEFINITELY be glad when pregnancy is over and I can hold our baby! I have not enjoyed pregnancy very much, it has been pretty rough! I guess I expected it to be so much different than this, but I am taking it one day at a time! I am so excited to start our little family together and just enjoy the life we make for ourselves :) We have so much love for our little man already, and I can't wait to meet him!

~07/08/08~ I am SO tired today! I can BARELY keep my eyes open here at work! Only a little over half an hour before lunch. I am SO taking a nap!! I will grab a bite to eat, then it's ZZZZZ's for me!! I couldn't possibly work the rest of the day without a nap in the middle- not today! So, I go to the doctor tomorrow. I have lots of questions for her! I am beyond tired of not getting any information - it's almost as if I have the most non-commited doc's office on the planet! They don't care to tell you anything, they offer you NO information, it's like pulling teeth to get ANY thing from them!! So I already have about 16 questions to ask. She can answer them - or I will find another doctor - I don't care how late in the game it already is! I need some peace of mind and some direction and info here!! HELLO!! First time mom- it's not as if I know what to expect or what I am feeling or how things are supposed to go!!

Friday, 2 May hey! well, i teach and am entitled to 6 weeks paid and then could apply for 12 weeks unpaid. i'm not sure my school would be fond of me taking 12 weeks unpaid 'cause i'd be coming in at the middle of the school year. plus, i'm not sure i'd want to come in at the middle of the school year 'cause it'd be harder for me and the kids to adjust. i'm thinking i'll take the 6 weeks paid and then an extra 2-3 weeks beyond that for a total of 8 or 9 weeks off. the earlier the baby is born, the better for me, actually! if she's born toward the beginning of august (like, say, august 10 or something), then i could be with her almost a month before the school year and plus take off two months or so and that would give me a total of 12 weeks with her. i'd return to work in early november, which isn't too bad in terms of getting back into the swing of teaching. sorry for the long post. lol. how about you? kara8385 -
