My husband and I are expecting our first baby!! Baby is a BOY!! We are very excited. My favorite parts of the day are when I feel Baby rolling about in my tummy, and I just adore the times when his Daddy is talking to him! I have a great husband whom I love SO VERY MUCH!! I wouldn't trade my life for ANYTHING, but I will DEFINITELY be glad when pregnancy is over and I can hold our baby! I have not enjoyed pregnancy very much, it has been pretty rough! I guess I expected it to be so much different than this, but I am taking it one day at a time! I am so excited to start our little family together and just enjoy the life we make for ourselves :) We have so much love for our little man already, and I can't wait to meet him!

~07/14/08~ I am so freaking miserable it is ridiculous. My back and hip pain is making it virtually IMPOSSIBLE to walk. I am in SO MUCH pain!!! My pelvic pressure is out of this world. I feel like I am constantly being stabbed - either in the back of the hip or in my hoo-ha area. The baby is SO HEAVY. I am already near tears and I have only been at work about an hour and a half. I have no freaking clue how I will survive the rest of this pregnancy having to do any kind of walking. I can't roll over in bed, I can't get off the couch without being in tears, it's excrutiating to just walk - all I can hope for is that Baby C is ready to come out ASAP so they can induce me at 37 weeks!

Tuesday, 8 July I had a co worker who was anemic and she said the same thing. She could not have an epidural. Hope this helps Sharonimo -
Tuesday, 8 July Pumping the amount of milk you need to feed exclusively by bottle will require an electric pump for sure. There are time limits on how long you can store it in the fridge and freezer, so I think pumping only would be a bit of a hassle. But I suppose no more than formula feeding. Once you get the hang of breastfeeding it REALLY is a lot easier. And I agree with Izzibo and Texbaby-being able to do both is the best. My first son breast fed until 17 months, and it was no problem for me. We did pump and as well use some formula when I needed a break, so he took the bottle and breast. After a while, I just stopped nursing him at night so I didn't have to be up all the time, and gradually just nursed him when it worked best for us. After 6 months they start on solids anyways and don't want as much. Keep in mind too that some babies will totally reject a bottle, and maybe some (although I think less likely) may reject nursing. So it will depend on both of you. arcanejane -
Tuesday, 8 July With my first, I pumped my milk out, put it into bottles and stored it in the fridge until she was ready to drink up. There was no way I was going to let her bite my nipples off, plus you have to worry about switching boobs and all that stuff. It's easier to pump it out. Plus if you let your baby get the boob and it doesn't get the milk out, your boobs will swell and harden and hurt like hell. cgatmsu -
Tuesday, 8 July I breastfed my son for 3 mos and then pumped and fed. The longer he could stay on the boob the better as far as I am concerned...less clean-up and more convenient. It goes wherever you go! Just my experience. TEXBABY -
Tuesday, 8 July Hello. Just read your comment about breastfeeding. My teacher in prenatal reccommended that you don't use bottles for the first 3 to 4 weeks, the baby needs to imprint on the breast and they won't if you use bottles right away. After three to four weeks introduce a bottle of breast milk, then you can go both ways if you need to. Breastfeeding is a great bonding moment for mom and bath time is a great bonding moment for dad. Just my suggestion. BamaBaby -
Monday, 7 July With my first child I tried the feeding from the breast and it worked but then it was like i was feeding all the time and no time to do ANYTHING!!!! So i started pumping and it was the best. I could do stuff and plus if we had company i didn't feel like i was always in my room feeding. THIS TIME AROUND THIS BABY WILL BE BREAST FED BUT ONLY WILL SHE GET IT THROUGH THE BOTTLE.....call me selfish but i like me time and that is what worked best last time and i feel it will do justice this time and since i do have a 6 year old I will need to give attention to her also. izziebo -
Monday, 7 July im planning on pumping a bit so andy can feed baby but not all the time MrsBandBabyB -
Monday, 7 July I've thought about expressing breast milk and bottle feeding. It seems like it would be more work. I'm a little weirded out by breast feeding. But, I know mother's milk has many benefits to both the baby and me, which is why I'm planning on doing it. Amanda26 -

Saturday, 5 July Some days I'm so excited to meet Rose, and on others I'm terrified. I held my friends newborn the other day and got totally freaked out. I felt so unsure...I kept thinking, how should I hold her, how should I hold her head, what if she starts crying...what if I can't hold my own baby right. Friends of mine say that they went through this unsure phase as well. Good thing nature makes us ready to have the babies before they actually come. I've never known someone full-term that said they weren't ready.
I hope you're having a nice weekend. adriennella -

Thursday, 3 July How funny! I love your TShirt! Maybe you can include, "Yes, you can touch" if you don't mind people touching your tum. embry -
Thursday, 3 July Thanks for your message. I went back today for another visit and I have gained another 3 pounds in less than 2 weeks. That makes the total 30. She was better today about it. I told her I had been walking everyday etc. I guess I just worry about what will happen in my last 6 weeks if I keep this up! kirsten322 -

Monday, 30 June is it even safe to be ina pool that late in pregnancy? lol it might be idk! but i dont see why they wait so late to want to do babyshowers nobody is "happy" in their last couple months especially the last one!! im already mean to everyone who even looks at me! and my family is all huggy and crap and i dont want to be mean to them but i cant help that i have an attitude..my back hurts my legs hurt im being kicked in the ribs i cant sleep im thirsty..but if i drink anything i have to pee every five minutes! thats the bad part about the pool too once you get in you gotta get out and pee anyway! its definitely too hot to be outside..its down to like 75 today outside(its been in the 90's) and i still have my air on like 68 everyone else is using covers but im still burning up! ugh why dont people jsut understand this is not a comfotable time...we dont want to be int he car having to stop every ten minutes to pee and being uncomfortable the whole ride there..and risking going in labor NOT AT OUR OWN HOSPITAL! i wasnt that worried about the labor thing until this past weekend when ive been in the hspital twice! i live ten minutes from the hospital so if i go its no big deal if im 2 hours away ill be pissed!
