Baby Chathum was born!!! 8 lb 11 oz at 3:33 pm. I went to the doctor that morning and it turns out that I developed preeclampsia sometime between last week's appointment and then. My doc came in and said she would like to go ahead and deliver (my C section was scheduled for 8/19) and it would probably be around 4 that afternoon. I was a little nervous but definitely excited!! No complications until AFTER he was born! He was perfect, but my blood pressure just kept getting higher, so it took almost a whole week in the hospital to get it regulated. That part was not fun, but every ache and pain and complaint was worth my little angel!!

Some days I'm so excited to meet Rose, and on others I'm terrified. I held my friends newborn the other day and got totally freaked out. I felt so unsure...I kept thinking, how should I hold her, how should I hold her head, what if she starts crying...what if I can't hold my own baby right. Friends of mine say that they went through this unsure phase as well. Good thing nature makes us ready to have the babies before they actually come. I've never known someone full-term that said they weren't ready.

Thanks for your message. I went back today for another visit and I have gained another 3 pounds in less than 2 weeks. That makes the total 30. She was better today about it. I told her I had been walking everyday etc. I guess I just worry about what will happen in my last 6 weeks if I keep this up!

is it even safe to be ina pool that late in pregnancy? lol it might be idk! but i dont see why they wait so late to want to do babyshowers nobody is "happy" in their last couple months especially the last one!! im already mean to everyone who even looks at me! and my family is all huggy and crap and i dont want to be mean to them but i cant help that i have an attitude..my back hurts my legs hurt im being kicked in the ribs i cant sleep im thirsty..but if i drink anything i have to pee every five minutes! thats the bad part about the pool too once you get in you gotta get out and pee anyway! its definitely too hot to be outside..its down to like 75 today outside(its been in the 90's) and i still have my air on like 68 everyone else is using covers but im still burning up! ugh why dont people jsut understand this is not a comfotable time...we dont want to be int he car having to stop every ten minutes to pee and being uncomfortable the whole ride there..and risking going in labor NOT AT OUR OWN HOSPITAL! i wasnt that worried about the labor thing until this past weekend when ive been in the hspital twice! i live ten minutes from the hospital so if i go its no big deal if im 2 hours away ill be pissed!

haha i have a family reunion in a week anda half and its a little over 2 hours away..now im on bedrest and already went to the hospital twice for contractions...my mom wanted to have my babyshower down there but im like NO! i dont even know if i want to go and if i do im not gonna feel like being the center of everything when im in this kind of shape... plus my boyfriend cant go so if i went into labor there we'd have a problem!! but they just odnt get it

Just saw your post about the lack of nookie... the same thing here- my husband wasn't initiating, or even talking about it. I didn't bring it up because i'm fine without it. But one of his friends said to him, "How about those pregnancy boobs?" and my husband said he doesn't think like that, and doesn't feel right about doing it with the baby right there. He knows it won't hurt him/her; it just feels to strange to him. It has nothing to do with lack of attraction. Maybe your husband feels the same way..

haha i get all teary eyed too... im actually watching it right now. i have my times 9am-11am... then 2pm-4pm.. i wish i got deliver me, but i dont. thats another great show!

Hi - I had an ultrasound at 28 weeks and my baby's head was down in my pelvis and I had feet in my ribs! So your baby could be that way as well, especially now that we are 31 weeks. :-)

I would die if my foot grew any bigger. I already wear between a 9.5 and 10! That would stink. Yes your hubby needs to take you shoe shopping!!!!
