My husband and I are expecting our first baby!! Baby is a BOY!! We are very excited. My favorite parts of the day are when I feel Baby rolling about in my tummy, and I just adore the times when his Daddy is talking to him! I have a great husband whom I love SO VERY MUCH!! I wouldn't trade my life for ANYTHING, but I will DEFINITELY be glad when pregnancy is over and I can hold our baby! I have not enjoyed pregnancy very much, it has been pretty rough! I guess I expected it to be so much different than this, but I am taking it one day at a time! I am so excited to start our little family together and just enjoy the life we make for ourselves :) We have so much love for our little man already, and I can't wait to meet him!

~07/08/08~ I am SO tired today! I can BARELY keep my eyes open here at work! Only a little over half an hour before lunch. I am SO taking a nap!! I will grab a bite to eat, then it's ZZZZZ's for me!! I couldn't possibly work the rest of the day without a nap in the middle- not today! So, I go to the doctor tomorrow. I have lots of questions for her! I am beyond tired of not getting any information - it's almost as if I have the most non-commited doc's office on the planet! They don't care to tell you anything, they offer you NO information, it's like pulling teeth to get ANY thing from them!! So I already have about 16 questions to ask. She can answer them - or I will find another doctor - I don't care how late in the game it already is! I need some peace of mind and some direction and info here!! HELLO!! First time mom- it's not as if I know what to expect or what I am feeling or how things are supposed to go!!

Tuesday, 6 May My MIL hasn't spoken to me or my husband since our wedding in September! Over something that my brother-in-law did! Didn't even have anything to do with us other than she thinks my husband is taking his brother's "side" in the matter. So, that is worth shutting out your new daughter-in-law and not even once calling, writing, or emailing to see how the pregnancy is going. She heard about me being pregnant through the grapevine, not from us. So sad, really. At least my mom has been great to us! Sorry to hear that you are having MIL problems too! :( pjs1071 -
Tuesday, 6 May Hi, i read your post about MIL's. Mine wished me dead in September. Now that there's a baby on the way, suddenly she wants to be all nice and sweet. Pardon my expression, but screw her.... she wanted me dead, and now she has lost a son, dtr in law AND grandchild..... I thought I was the only one who had Satan as a MIL?? agonzales -
Tuesday, 6 May Well at least you dont have to live with her lol. I think the only thing you can probably do now is just stay away from her as much as possible. Or like I said earlier talk to her about it and see what she has to say. It doesnt sound like you are able to do anything to changer her. Just hopefully after the baby is born she will change her ways and realize you arent going anywhere. stormynyght -

Friday, 2 May wow! well, good for you for taking time off anyway because it'll definitely be beneficial for you and the baby in terms of healing and bonding, or so i've heard. it's our first!
the interesting thing about my maternity leave is that the six weeks paid start after the baby is born and if the school year has started. if the baby is born, say, august 10, then that doesn't mean my six weeks maternity kick in 'cause i'm still on summer break. since we are back on the clock at the end of august, then i'd get 3 weeks off in september with pay to complete 6 weeks total with the baby at home. but in that scenario, i'd take october off too. *sigh* so much planning but, hey, having a baby is joyous and we gotta' work it out!
so what do you do at the engineer firm? Beeccii -
Friday, 2 May I can relate to what you are going through! I went to the doc a couple of days ago and I somehow gained 10 lbs in 6 weeks....what??? (for a total of 25 lbs already)I think some girls just naturally gain more weight than others during pregnancy. Its ok and dont worry. Everybody is different--!
