Sunday, 22 June I, too, have RLS. It sucks! I went to a masseuse, and that helped tremendously. I could actually sleep at night. beccawithboy -
Tuesday, 10 June same thing happened to me for the first time Sat. I was lounging by the pool and looked down to where I felt the movement and it was just bouncing up and down on that spot....it was sooo coool and strange. It's happened one time since. kristenpaxton -
Wednesday, 21 May It varies...i did fine and bounced right back with my first but due to an infection i was confined to bed for nearly 9 weeks! As for nursing....dont give up hope and write it off as a lost cause. i went back to work with both of my children as soon as i could and was able to nurse them. i used my lunch break to breastfeed and i pumped at work on my breaks. As a bonus benefit....you are still breastfeeding but daddy can also enjoy some of that bonding time by occasionally bottle feeding :) kargy -
Wednesday, 21 May Hi! I read your comment about not having a paid maternity leave. I am in the same boat.. I only live about 60 miles north of you (Clarion). I have a very good job, but have to take an unpaid maternity leave. They do not offer short term disability or unemployment. My husband and I have been worried about this, but we are trying to save as much as we can. Just remember that there are some expenses you won't have such as gasoline. i drive a lot, so that will save me $200 or more per month. I have student loans that I can defer during my leave, so that's another $300. My husband will have to pay the utilities that I usually pay. it's going to be tight, but I think we can do it for 6 weeks. Good luck! itskristen -
Wednesday, 21 May Hello,
Saw your post re: going back to work. Try getting on disability, which should buy you some time. Either way, so many women pump during the day so that they're able to still breastfeed. I know it's not ideal, but at least you don't definitely have to use formula. mommy2beinoct -
Wednesday, 21 May hello, i read your comment about maternity leave and although i am in california and things might be different you should be able to file for disability maternity leave through the state (atleast here you can) and they give you 10 weeks off paid, 4 before and 6 after. so check out your states website on pregnancy and see if they offer anything. i hope you get to stay home with your daughter like you planned. good luck and i hope that helps!! tiffers -
