A little bit about me
I have been in a relationship with Scott for almost 3 years and I just recently graduated from the west coast college of massage therapy. We were planning on an engagement in the months following grad but instead we had an unexpected surprise. We are truly ecstatic about becoming parents and every day is a blessing now. I love the process so far even though I was sick almost everyday in the first trimester. My career has been put on hold temporarily and I know we will have times of struggle but we can do it. Our families are extremely supportive and they are as excited as we are. I haven't felt anything yet, I think. I am truly looking forward to being a mom. I have chosen for a natural birth with no interventions, provided no emergencies arise. Well that about sums up to where I am today in a nutshell. There are times when I feel anxious and scared about something going wrong, I hope that is all part of the process. :)

I am feeling great these days and I have felt the flutters :), it is such a great feeling. I have recently been getting this heartbeat type sound in my ear any time I walk around or go from standing to sitting. I did some research on the internet and I figure it is something called pulsatile tinnitus, has anyone heard of this or experienced this in their pregnancies? I am going to the doctor on Monday to get it checked out!!!! Also on Monday I have a midwife appointment and hopefully I will be scheduled for another ultrasound, I just may want to find out the sex!!! By the way thanks for the glittery notes :)

I went to the midwife on Monday and Scott was able to hear the heartbeat for the first time. Our midwife has given us some reading material both for Scott and I that I find to be extremely empowering to read. I am feeling a lot more confident with the choice to have a natural drug free birth. I believe that I have figured out my ear situation, I think that I have narrow ear canals and because my blood volume has increased with the pregnancy it has caused a little bit of pressure in my ears because of ear wax buildup, I just need to get my ears candled. We have an ultrasound scheduled for Saturday that we are so excited for. Also Scott and I have been checking out some You Tube videos on natural birth which is giving him less anxiety about the whole situation. Our midwife has asked him if he wants to catch the baby and he is all for it!!!!!!!

We went to the ultrasound today and it was amazing I had no idea that so much detail can be seen. Baby is healthy and progressing normal. The tech was on the profile and showing us some of the detail and baby broke out with a big full on yawn, it was incredible to see. We chose to not find out the sex, we want to keep it a surprise. I am going to scan the pictures tomorrow and put them up. Take care everyone!!!!!!
