Hi My names Nicki. This will be my 2nd child! Im so excited because we have been trying to concieve for almost four years! We have been talking about adopting in a year. Well I guess we dont need to do that anymore. Im hoping for a girl for my daughter but it doesn't really matter. Im just so happy I finally got pregnant!!!!! The due date is Dec 25th! Christmas day. But I will deliver on the 15th of Dec via c-section. My daughter (who is 7 years old) has been asking us all day everyday for a baby, for 4 years!!!! Finally her prayers are answered!!!!Oh and by the way Im married to my best friend of the last 9 1/2 years!!! (He wanted me to put that) LOL!!!

About Your Pregnancy:

Is this your first pregnancy: Nope 2nd!!!!!
When did you find out you were pregnant: I think it was April 20th? it was a late Sunday night! For some apparent reason I just thought I should pee on a stick. I really was not expecting this at all. I took the test pretty much for fun. But something was telling me I should check. That wierd inner instinct.

Was it planned: Well we have been trying for at least 4 years! Our daughter is 7 years old.
What was your first reaction: scared out of my mind! We didnt think we could get pregnant. We went 7 years without protection and 4 years of trying. We where talking about adoption in a year. I was totally an utterly SHOCKED!!! Then I was really excited. Its what our daughters wanted for years and us too.

Who was with you when you found out: My husband.

Who was the first person you told: My husband
How did your parents react: She was happy. She didnt want mw to have anymore but shes seen how much my daughter wanted a sibling so she was even for us adopting by now. So, she is really excited. Shes taking pics of my belly all the time.

How far along are you: Right now I am 11 weeks!
What was your first symptoms: My breast where killing me and I was exessively tired.

What is your due date: December 25th. Christmas day!
Do you know the sex of the baby: Nope but I hope this one is not as stubborn as my last kid. No matter how many ultrasounds she did not want us to know.
If so, what is it: N/A
Have you picked out names?: Not yeat but. My husband is being VERY picky.
If so, what are they: Can't say for sure yet!
How much weight have you gained: 9lbs. :(
Do you have stretch marks: No but I have plenty from my last pregnancy 7 years ago so I have plenty!!!
Have you felt the baby move: No but this little thing is movin my organs around! Uterus is huge, and up high!!!

Have you heard the heartbeat: Yes, twice! I heard it for the second time today!!! The nurse could not find it for a long time so I was stressin for a minute. She finally went up way higher an found it. The babys way higher than normal, but I am a short girl and my pelvic bone is very narrow.

Will you keep the baby: Of course
Home or hospital birth: Hospital! sechduled C-section

Natural or medicated birth: Definitely Medicated!! No ones cutting my stoamach without meds!!

Who will be in the delivery room with you: Husband. I would like my mom too but she'll probably be with my daugther who will be very anxiously waiting.Probably asking her every 2 secs if the babys there yet.

Will you breastfeed: NEVER again! too painful
Do you think you'll need a c-section: Yup unless I want to risk my child dying or my uterus bursting.

Will you cry when you hold the baby for the first time: Yeah. I think I'll cry more seein my daughter hold her sister or brother for the 1st time. I cant even imagine the look on her face. It will be a perfect day.

What's the first thing you might say to him/her: "your so beautiful"

Would you let someone videotape the birth? nope. just photos

Are you excited about the birth, or scared: Nervous a little. Surgerys are always a little nerve wrecking. Esspecially since your awake. But I've done it before so I'll be fine.

I have always just called a week ahead. Im going back in two weeks when im 18.5 weeks prego, just to be sure. They seem to be available at any time. I usually go around 10am. Both my boy and my girl i was around 16-17 weeks when i found out. But this place is free so its fun to go see the baby

My friend had placenta previa, she got signed out of work early and had to take it easy, other then that she had a good pregnancy and just had her healthy baby boy last month. I did go and get my ultrasound, doc said she thought it was a girl but to go back when im 18 weeks to be positive. Call them when you can, its cool

I think most docs wait till 20 weeks. My daughter wouldn't show anything at 20 weeks...so modest of her!

Do you have any "feelings" of either boy or girl?

No I haven't been put on complete bed rest yet, but the way I've been feeling I've put myself on bed rest! I'm just trying to take it one day at a time. How are you feeling? Do you know what you are having yet?

Thats terrific! I just had another checkup yesterday, and we heard the heartbeat! I feel like every visit just makes me more happier than the last to actually be carrying a live person! lol I made my structural visit for August 8th. So we find the sex out that day! I pray that my child is not shy!

Ya know, it's been hard for me, but I've found it's much easier to look at everything in a positive perspective. It's really taken me along time to do this, considering I used to be a very negative person, and now life is so much more enjoyable. I'm glad you can see it that way too, it makes life easier and less stressed. I know it doesnt work for all things, but it really helps. God's got a plan for us all, and if you let him do his work, then it's alot less stress on you, worrying what will happen next. It's hard to put your fate in his hands, but it's easier in the long run. I"ve found at least. Anyway, Good luck to you and keep us all updated.

Thanks, I think it's sloooowly getting better but then again for the past week I've actually felt sick in the mornings! The funny thing about stomachs is that before I got pregnant I loved linguine w/white clam sauce. When I first got pregnant it made me so sick I needed to lay down. And now my stomach has actually adjusted itself to eating it again. I think it just depends on where I get it lol.

Hey I just read your post about having Placenta Previa....I also have it. They found it at around 10 weeks { I am now in my 14th week as well}
I too have been put on strick rules...and also have been taken off work because I had some bleeding last week. This is my 2nd child as well...but my first time having Placenta Previa.
I have alot of pressure & pain....and alot of backache!

Hi I read about your placenta previa. So sorry about that. I actually started having sharp pains in my stomach side today. Like when you run when you're out of shape. Did you have that feeling? Any idea what that might be?

Thank you, i am just getting anxious. And where i live they are offering them for free, they need volunteers for there school, its some kind of "ultrasound school of technology", my 8 yr old daughter really wants to go so i figure why not, but your right i wont be to quick to run out and buy pink or blue until my 20 week and the end of July.
