Hi my name is Nicky, i am 33 yrs old and i live in Skelton in the north east of england with my husband Brian. We have been together for 6yrs this august and have been married a year on may 17th. I knew instantly that Brian was the man i wanted to spend the rest of my life with. We became friends through our workplace and started dating about 4months later, and now here we are nearly 6yrs on expecting our first baby together.
This is our 3rd pregnancy our 1st ended in an ectopic 2yrs ago gone march luckily i didn't need surgery and had the methatroxate injection, and my 2nd pregnancy ended in a miscarriage a year ago gone december so we haven't had much luck but so far so good with this pregnancy and fingers crossed everthing will be fine and our family will be complete.

This is willow my little girl

This is my little bundle of joy aged 13wks and 3 days.

Thursday 23rd August
Hello ladies, hope you are all well. What a week we've had so many emotions and not enough time to take them in. Amelie has hopefully started in a routine now she is in her own room in her cot she doesn't like the moses basket at all i think it's because she's long and feels all cooped up in it, but as long as she's happy then we are, so on to the birth story it wasn't that bad really, i started niggleing at about midnught on the wednesday and when Bri got in from work at 12.20am i told him that i thought i was in labour, we started timeing the contractions and they were about 20mins apart lasting about 30-40 secs after about an hour and a half they went to 12 mins lasting about a min i rang the hospital they told me to have some paracetamol and a warm bath so i did and bri managed to get some sleep while i bathed. By about 5.30 i felt i should be in hospital because i was having 3contractions a minute lasting for 90secs each so i phoned up and they told me to go in, when i got there i was 3cm dilated so i was ready for a long haul, i had 3lavender baths whuch were gorgeous and i strongly recommend them then at 1pm they assesed me and i was 5cm slow progress i know but at least i was moving, then at about 3pm the midwife checked my bp etc and it was up and so i had to monitored for an hour and then re-assessed i was still only 5cm dilated and was told that the consultant that was on duty reccomended that i go to high dependancy and have a drug to increase my contractions because i wasn't dilating any further and that this would also mean that i would have to have an epidural because gas and air wouldn't touch the pain. i was mooved to high dependancy and rigged up for my intravenus drip at about 6.30 but the dr got called away before he had chance to do my epi so i plodded on until about 8pm when they decided to start the drip slowly at first then gradually increase it, the contractions got worse and by 9.30 the midwife called for another dr to come and give me my epi, at that the orig dr came in the room asked all the questions they have to then prepared everything while this was going on the contractions went through the roof i was crying and saying that i couldn't do it anymore i felt so embarrased i continued to use the entinox as though it was going out of fashion then a couple of minutes later he sited the epi and i started to manage the pain better, then at about midnight the midwife called for a dr to come and check the reads because Amelies base rate had fallen and it had taken her a while to recover, they attached a clip to her head to monitor her better then at 1am thursday she went taciocardik and her heart rate started to go through the roof the same dr came back and told me that he needed to do a c-section as baby wasn't reacting well to the drugs for my contactions so at 1.30am after all the forms were signed i was wheeled down to theatre for my sectionand at 2.17am Amelie came into this world screaming. The section wasn't too bad you feel as though people are doing the weekly washing in your tummy, i'd go through it all again tomorrow if i had to because she is waoth every ounce of pain and more. I came out of hospital on the friday afternoon and since then we have been inundated with visiors and i am exhausted so Brian has cancelled all visits for the next week so we can get to know Amelie better.

August 31st
Well here we are Amelie is now 2 wks old and my how she has changed. she is getting herself into a routine esp at night last night she went to bed after her feed at 11.50pm and didn't wake up again until 6.30am then she was back in bed for 7am and she's still there now and it's 8.35am. I can't believe how much they change your lives and the love you have for them is so over powering, some days i sit looking her and cry purely because i couldn't image not having her now she is here. The health visitor is coming round this morning to see us not sure what she does but i'm sure i'll find out. Amelie was weighed on Monday and she weighed 9lb exactly, i have no idea where all the weight is because she is so tiny she is very long but skinny she still fits into newborn clothes and they are for 7-8lb babies.
Laura and Dave congratulations on the birth of your daughter hope you are all doing well, hope to hear from you soon and i can't wait to see those pictures xxxx

Sunday October 7th
Well i don't know whats happened to my page because about 10 days ago there were some pictures of Amelie on here and now they've gone so i've put some more on. Amelie is doing really well she is now 7wks old and i adore her to pieces and can't stop kissing her and telling her i love her, my dad told her for the first time that he loved her yesterday which i thought was quite cute, he'd told me he'd thought it plenty of times but never told her. I'm not sure how much she weighs but she is going tomorrow so i'll know then at the last weigh in she was 10lb3oz and measured 59.7cms that was on the 22nd september and she was 5wks old. My mum has got Amelie today she has her once a week so that she gets to know her for when i'm back at work which isn't long i can't believe i've had nearly 4months off , ah well never mind, here's the pictures anyway. xxx

Amelie is definately a daddys girl.

Friday 2nd November
Amelie is now a big 11 week old baby and as gorgeous as ever. She has discovered that her hands taste very nice and help her settle. Every morning she greets us with a huge smile which makes the tiredness of getting up during the night fade away in an instant. She weighs about 13lb now although i haven't had her weighed in a fortnight so i'm going to do that on monday, she also has her 2nd lot of injections on thursday, i'm feeling ok about been the bad guy someone has to do it and i don't mind really. Brian and i became grandparents to a lovely little baby boy on the 23rd october Leanne(Brians daughter) and her partner Graham have named the baby Oscar Keith he weighed a healthy 7lb11oz and looks like a little old man but he is very cute and has a mass of dark hair, mind you Leanne lived on rennies for the last couple of months of her pregnancy.

Enjoy the photo's and how funny do Amelie and Oscar look. xxx

Sunday 11th November
Amelie had her injections on thursday and was really good, she cried for about 5 mins then was back to her smileing, cheeky self again, i also got her weighed on monday and she was 12lb14oz her weight gain is slowing down now because she is approaching 3months and apparently because they are so active they only gain around 5oz a week rather than 8. I've been taking Amelie to my mum's everyday because she wasn't sellteing when i left her on a sunday and she needs to be settled before i go back to work which is 3wks on monday, i sooo don't want to go but the bills still need paying and i'm going back part-time for 5wks so that should ease me back in. Hope everyone is ok and all your lovely babies are coming on in leeps and bounds
Tuesday 15th January

Our 1st christmas as a complete family.
Hi Ladies hope you are all well, well our 1st christmas with baby Amelie has been and gone and things are starting to get back to normal thank goodness. Amelie was ruined on christmas day, so i guess she must have been a good girl for santa. Amelie is 22wks on Thursday and on her last weigh in, which was on the 8th january she was 16lb 7oz and 68cm long, she has changed so much over the past few weeks and is sooooo cheeky. Her teeth haven't made an apperance yet but i don't think it will be long especially as she is slavering for britain, bless her. Take care of yourselves and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all xxx
Monday 10th March
Amelie is now nearly 7 months old and my goodness has it flown by, I can't believe how much life has change in such a short time. Everyday she makes me count my blessings that i have such a beautiful and happy baby. Amelie is now getting into everything and i mean everything she mastered the art of rolling all the way over to get to where she wants to be and that is either the dvd player the bin or Brian's treasured plant, yesterday Brian left her on the floor while he ran upstairs when he came down half the poor plants leaf was missing and the dvd player was playing and she was heading for the bin , he said it was so funny and she looked at him as if to say "it wasn't me daddy". Amelie is quite happy to just sit up playing with her toys but as soon as she gets bored which is after about 5 minutes god does she let you know. Her vocabulary consists of mamma and nanna and lots of aahhhs oh and blowing bubbles. xxx

Wednesday 19th march
Hooray Amelie cut her first tooth today, it was really funny i said to her Amelie has your tootypeg come through yet and she laughed so i put my finger in and lo and behold there it was 2 tiny little edges of her 1st tooth, thank god it's eventually here it's been a long time coming.
Saturday 21st march
Well this morning at 2am must have been the worst morning since Amelie was born, i woke up and heard Amelie coughing then choking, i ran into her room and she'd vomited all over herself and was choking, i whipped her out of bed and held her at an angle so that her airway was clear and she just threw and threw OH MY GOD!, she's never been sick before so it was a shock for me and a shock for her we were both sat on her bedroom floor crying while Brian was asleep still oblivious to it all, even though i did shout him 3 times, then came the diahoria cold my morning get any worse, Probably not.
Monday 24th march
Amelie is much better today thank god she's statred to play again so i know she's on the mend, on saturday she slept for hours i think she spent most of the day asleep in our arms, bless her.
I'm going to take her for a walk this morning before i start work i think the fresh air will do her good. Her appetite is slowly returning but trying to get fluids into her is a task in itself, i actually think getting blood out of a stone is easier.
Thursday 1st may
Amelie is now 81/2 months old is is doing really well, she never stops talking and now has 3 teeth, we're just waiting for the 4th to come though. She weighs approx 22lb and is solid as a rock, Brian says she has my legs poor kid. Today i'm taking Amelie to see her Great nannashe hasn't been well so we thought we'd go and cheer her up.
Amelie's favourite thing at the moment is shaking her head when you say no to her it's so funny to see. She also likes having shouting competitions, we were in the car yesterday doing it and she won hands down she was laughing loads in between shouts.

WEDNESDAY 14TH MAY
Hi everyone hope you are all well, Amelie was christened on sunday at our local church, we had an amazing day everyone enjoyed it including Amelie. The service was an hour long because it was an all age service combined with the christenings. Amelie looked gorgeous in a full length cream silk gown with a little bonnet to match. The weather wasn't too bad, a bit foggey but it stayed dry so all in all a good day was had.
