October 17, 2007Hi, I'm Nicole and I'm currently 24 weeks and 5 days pregnant! I had more stuff on here but it got erased so I have to start over now : / Well we found out we're having a beautiful baby boy on September 18th. YAY, just what I wanted! I have a daughter who is currently 6 and a son who is 3 1/2. In my pic I am 20 weeks pregnant and I will add my other belly pics. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is flying by. But then I am still soo anxious for my baby to be here.
***************************December 6, 2007I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going by. It seems like I just got into the 20's now I'm already almost 32 weeks! : O But it's great and soo happy my baby boy will be here in less than 2 months! I've also been feeling crappy lately. I know everyone does but this is the worst I've felt while being pregnant, even with the last ones. I just feel like nobody cares or understands. I can't sleep, my pelvis hurts, my back hurts and sometimes it feels like he is practicing to be a ninja in there ; )...But it's all worth it and I'm cherishing every moment!January 24, 2008I only have 7 days left until my due date! It still feels unreal that my baby boy will be here that soon. I am excited to have my baby, it feels like I've been pregnant forever, but yet I am still a little sad about it all being over. This will be my last baby and I just want to cherish everything that I've experienced with this pregnancy...the beautiful and the painful. Nothing in life is ever as special and somewhat magical, as creating a life inside of you. I have loved every minute from the moment I saw two lines on the pregnancy test, telling Jesus we were going to have a baby, the first time I felt my babies precious little kicks, finding out it's a boy...even now, especially now, even with all the discomforts of pregnancy. I will always remember these special, once-in-a-lifetime moments!

I don't know for sure, but I bet a lot of the inducing is for his/her convenience. You don't have to agree to be induced if you don't want to be. You are the patient, your doc can't do anything you don't agree too. Personally, I will only let my physician induce me if I am overdue or there is a medical reason for it to be necessary. Do whatever feels best for you- you might not care and want that baby out at 38 weeks! I see that you don't have much longer- best of luck! :)

Hey, here's why it's not particularly safe to sleep on your back after 20 weeks or so. It has to do with the Inferior Vena Cava artery getting cut off by the pressure of the womb, which can restrict blood flow to the heart.

'If the woman's blood flow to her heart is reduced, then her unborn baby may also receive less blood flow for a short period of time. This may occasionally be enough to cause the baby to be temporarily stressed and in perhaps open their bowels inside the uterus before the birth. A baby's first bowel motion is called 'meconium', and the medical term given to when a baby passes this before the birth is 'meconium stained liquor' (or 'MSL').'
