My First Pregnancy

23.August 2007

Today I had the first kick of morning sickness. I knew right away I was pregnant even though I didn't keep track of my period. All those signs made sence now. So I just had to get a test and be a 100% sure.

24.August 2007

Today I bought a test, just to be sure. I actually bought 2, just to be really sure. Both tests showed 2 lines. So I'm pregnant.

30.August 2007

I'm still fighting with morning sickness. Tried wristbands against motion sickness. They help alot in the beginning. Later on pickles made it easier.

18.October 2007

Finally my insurence kicked in. And today is my first appointment. Remember i didn't keep track of my cicle. Yeah so the first thing in the list was an Ultrasound to see how far I was. And I'm already 14 Weeks . It was so amazing. The movement and the heartbeat. It looked already like a tiny person.

29.October 2007

Had some bloodtests done and everything is fine. Next Ultrasound will be on the 27th 2 days after my birthday. And if I'm lucky they gonna tell me what it is.

12.November 2007

Today I felt the first real baby kick. I bet it was dancing because this was for about a minute. And I mean the real movement not this tiny tickle stuff. I can't wait to have my next ultrasound.

18.November 2007

I can feel the little one almost everyday now. It's gettin stronger from day to day. And it feels amazing. I'm starting to fight more with it's daddy. Always money issues. And it's just man don't understand what it means to be pregnant. I'm trying to make a little nest for my baby. Buying all the stuff that it needs. And he doesn't help that drives me crazy. I hope he's gonna change a little bit. And guess what they changed the date for my next ultrasound it's gonna be a day earlier. 26th of November. I'm counting the days.

25. November 2007

Today is now my 24th Birthday. I'm just so excited. Tomorrow will be my next ultrasound...and finally I will know the gender of my little one. I'm feeling better every day...I'm just getting tired easily. I try to enjoy my pregnancy as much as possible. I start thinking about what he or she is gonna look like. Still trying to find a name for a boy...i still just got the girl name. Now I wish it would be a girl.

26. November 2007

We finally had the u/s this morning. And guess what it's a girl. But this time it was really funny. The Nurse told us that our little girl has really long legs. We were all laughing. My fiance is really tall...so I assumed she would be tall but not in my belly. Her foot messured 3cm. So she is growing quickly. And she weighs 330g. Still just a hand full. I have to see the Doc tomorrow. And I got some more questions for her. I'm still just so excited. Grandma was really excited too. Her Name will be Liya Fatue Diagne. She'll be the total cutie. Her dad is from africa and I'm from germany. So she will be something really special.

27. November 2007

I had another appointment today. And guess what I haven't gained anything yet. I'm just getting bigger but not heavier. But the Doc was worried a little bit. She said I should start gaining weight in the next month. We'll see.

4. December 2007

My little girl seems to like the night. She is bouncing around and kicking me whenever she can. She really got alot stronger. Soon everybody else will feel her too. Her daddy can't wait to feel her. And i just can't wait to see her.

20. December 2007

So I finally reached a point where it's really uncomfortable to sleep through the night. It's not just the gettin up three times a night to pee. I guess it's the matress. Gotta buy some more pillows....maybe that might help. I bought a body pillow 2 weeks ago and that is still not enough to get me through the night.

Little Miss Sunshine is just rollin around all day. Kickin and turning...still her daddy couldn't catch her yet. I can't wait until he really feels her moving. It's gonna be soon.

And the weirdest thing is that people that you don't even know that well are trying to touch my belly. I'm not sure what to tell 'em....I gotta make a shirt that says.....

I had my appointment today and guess what the doc said my belly measures big...so what is that supposed to mean ...that my baby is fat or tall....or that it has a big swimming pool.???? Anyway my next appointment is on the 24th of january so I guess i'm gonna ask her then.

1. February 2008

I haven't updated in ages...so here it goes on.

I'm now 29 weeks..and just 11 more weeks to go. But I hope it's less. So far I'm feeling alright. More tired now than before. And heavier. Liya is moving alot...she actually wakes up her daddy at night when she kicks him in the back...I just think it's so funny. We both can't wait to finally see her. My Babyshower is on the 9th. In germany we don't actually have babyshowers...so that will be something new. I also got some stretchmarks on the front of my belly...but we both don't care so thats cool. I got no backpain no shortbreathing..so I guess I'm kinda lucky. I just got a giant belly.

Oh and last week I actually switched my docs. Didn't like the old one anymore....now i'm gonna be closer the doc and hospital that I wanted to give birth in. Waterbirth is still an option.

Guess that's that on the updates.

6. February

I don't really have much new stuff going on. I'm now 30 weeks. Gained 20 pounds. And it looks like it's gettin tight in the belly. Space is getting less ...and there comes the uncomfy feeling. Bladder is under pressure all the time. And it drives me nuts when I want to sleep. Just a few more weeks.

14.February

I had such a nice valentines lunch with my boyfriend. We went to Ruby Tuesday's. This is the last valentine's day as a couple. The next time we will be a family.

21. February

Today I had another prenatal appointment...and guess what she is now head down. That's great news. Because I want everything to go smooth. I always wanted to give birth natural. And this is another step towards that.

23. February

Today we went to an indoor pool. Was really nice not to feel as heavy anymore. We're planning on going every week now.We'll see if we really do that. And yieppie I'm 32 weeks now.

Just 8 more weeks. I really hope she is coming a few days earlier.

2. March

It's already march...time goes fast these days. Just a few more weeks and i will have my precious girl. Being pregnant can be so funny. I can catch her feet now when she's kicking me. And I started to have hip and leg pain...I guess that's the only thing that really bothers me. I don 't have any other pains or aches. I can be really thankful for that. Never had any heartburn or so.

Never heard anything about my glucose test...so guess I'm fine...what a total waste of money. I knew I would be fine.

Everything else is still same old same old.

16 . March

So I got 33 days left. I'm kinda gettin nervous. How is it going to be with a little baby. I'm going to be a mommy. And our "us" transforms into a tiny family. He gives me a lot of strength right now by telling me what a great mom I'm going to be. I already know he'll be a great dad. And I can be lucky to have found him. He supports me in everything. I hope he doesn't stop the daily massages after liya's birth.

Anyway I'm still doing pretty good. Still the only complain I got is leg pain once in a while.

Sleep is ok as long as I have like a million pillows around me....haha.

24. March

25 Days left. Had my prenatal app. on friday. He did a cervix check. Not dialated at all. But he says it's thinning and softening. So at least something is going on down there. She is still moving ...but not as much as she used too ...so I guess no space for any leg stretching anymore.

Everything else is still the same. Thinking about how it's going to be with my little princess.

4. April

Just got 14 more days to go. Now i got some pain in my lower body. Guess it's her head pushing .
