Sunday, 3 August I registered at BabiesRus and Target and did different things at different places. Like some items were less expensive at Target or vice versa and so I registered for the item where it was cheaper - plus some items are only on-line, so I choose to register where it was available in store and on-line. I hope that helps! amanda2mommy -
Saturday, 2 August Here is another story that a friend shared with me that made me feel better. Her mom gained 30 lbs with her, and was a lb lighter than her pre-pregnancy weight when she left the hospital. My mom had 7 children(I know crazy!) but she said before she ever left the hospital she always lost 10-15lbs of the baby weight, fluid, and whatever else. Also if you are planning on breastfeeding, you burn an extra 500 calories a day, just by feeding your little one:) amanda2mommy -
Saturday, 2 August Yep that is what I have heard, i mean not every woman will experience the weight loss but a friend of mine lost 7 lbs, and my dr told me that many women lose a few lbs the last month. who knows why, but I will take it! amanda2mommy -
Friday, 1 August
By the way you look quite small to me! You look great:) amanda2mommy -
Friday, 1 August Me too with the constipation! Lets not go there. I swear every other week my pipes work and then they don't. It is miserable! Just keep reminding yourself that in order to have a healthy baby we have to gain a pretty healthy amount of weight. Also I have heard of girls losing up to 10 lbs the last month. Let's hope we are one of those girls :) CarolineS -
Friday, 1 August Yeah, it seems like everyone I see has something to say about how big I'm getting. It definitely does get old (especially if I'm having an emotional day already). I'm really trying not to let it bother me since I know they really don't mean anything by it...but still...I sometimes wish they just wouldn't say anything :) jenadamandbaby -
Friday, 1 August don't be sad about it! it's just baby weight and it WILL come off! If you're doing everything right, then your body/baby just needs the weight! just keep a smile and know its for your healthy baby! amanda2mommy -
Friday, 1 August Does your dr seem to think it is a big deal? I have been told by friends that around 6 or 7 months you will go through a growth spurt. Also with it being summer you could be retaining water, which you will pee right out after the baby is born, easy weight to lose:) I had an episode last week in the mall of all places. I couldn't find anything that looked good on me and I am so pasty that I just hated looking in mirror. I broke down in tears crying and walking through the mall! LOL!! We will get our bodies back, don't worry! mrscopejunky -
Friday, 1 August Don't worry about the weight, the doctors with each of my boys gave me crap about weight gain towards then end....but i always lost it afterwards. Lucky for me the OB I had been going to, they have us weigh ourselves in the bathroom and just tell them....I lied everytime lol. But i've gaine 4lbs since the 21st of July, so I'm sure I'll gain quiet a bit before my next appt. Don't let it get you down!! redbelle -
Tuesday, 29 July I have those same pains like you...feels almost bruised in a way down there in the nether regions. Other than that it's worth it. :) christina08baby -
Tuesday, 29 July Heres the work update: Alot of you are asking and it is so I thought I'd give a big update on it. Anyway, I reported to work on Sat and my boss was already there and the lady from human resources came shortly after. I was then called into the office for a meeting and I of course had a copy of the work handbook with me.haha. So, I once again stated my case and why I was refusing to sign the dicipline and h/r broke down the days that my boss was trying to count against me. The 2 Saturdays in June were thrown out by h/r becuase they were preapproved days off and not call offs( my boss tried to say that they were not pre approved) but I told her she better tell the truth because there is documentation to prove that they were( I filled out a personal leave paper 2 weeks in advance), so she admitted to h/r that they were indeed pre approved. That left 3 days in July 2, which were pregnancy related and 1, which was due to babysitter having an emergency. 1 ofm the drs excuse days was also thrown out but I am being held responsible for the (babysitter day). Anyway, h/r told my boss to hold off on the dicipline until I submit the zoo trip excuse, which I did yesterday, so we'll see what happens. I did point out that policy states that FMLA excuses cannot be held against an employee along with the fact that a dicipline cannot be issued unless the excessive absences are 2 consecutive months in a row, which does not apply to me since the June days were thrown out. H/R is supposed to be mailing me FMLA paperwork to fill out if I have any future pregnancy related call offs, which would count against my 12 weeks. Honestly I think they were both floored that I had a copy of the handbook and brought it with me to state my case. I guess I'll see what happens next. I think that evil boss of mine will try to find another way to get me out. I told them that I planned to stay until Oct 1st and my boss made a comment saying If you last that long, which I replied what do you mean by that? She said well... you don't know what can happen with your pergnancy and all. Whatever! That woman is NASTY! I ahve had problems with her ever since she became manager back in Oct. I can't wait to leave that place and never go back! I will soon have my new little boy. I am not going to let that crappy job bring me down. It is what it is. Thank you all for your concerns and I will give another update when I find out whats next.
I hope I didn't ramble again.lol. ulala86 -
