Hey read your concern on the mesage board and I've been having the exact same thing. But its been for a week now. My sis who is a Rn said that is was my mucus plug, going to check with my doc on Mon. Let me know what your doc says if you talk with him about again,

Since you had a pre natal appt. yesterday, I would say that is why you're having more spotting. When they check you, they run a finger all the way around your cervix and then they see how many finger tips fit into your cervix...needless to say it can be a bit rough on everything...some doctors even attempt to stretch the opening to your cervix at this point in pregnancy, to see how supple it is (but they don't tell you that they are doing it!). If it was something else besides your cervix bleeding a bit from being manipulated, you would probably be in pain and would be bleeding more than you are indicating. Hope this helps.

ya, i definately would thought that he wouldve checked me by now, but of course not. he's so sarcastic with me and he is always rushing me outta his office. i want to ask for a check down there but im kinda scared because of the way he treats me i dont feel comfortable asking him anything. im sooo getting a midwife or a female doc next time around....

I'm taking evening primrose oil too! I thought that it was an actual oil, but it comes in a pill form that y ou can take 3 times a day, so no need to worry about it getting to the right place.

EPO can thin the blood in mama and baby- especially if taken internally. Please be careful.
We had a mama on our week whose cervix ripened faster than any of us, and her boyfriend left months ago, so no sex for her...
It does usually ripen without any help...

I am right there with ya on the cervix situation, my doc said last week WOW it's really back there. Grrrreat! My cuz is a midwife and told me to buy E. P, which I did but I haven't had the nerve to try and get it up there. She said 2 capsules every 4 hrs if possible. She said lay on the bed, pelvis tilted up and shove it up as far as you can!!!! How???? I'm seriously trying to think of a contraption... LOL

Hi Nikki, thanks for your comment, you're right though we are lucky. You just dont realise how much until you speak to others who are less fortunate, it really makes you appreciate things more. Its worth noting if you ever do consider a move to the UK that healthcare is free, we dont have to pay for anything during pregnancy. Also our minimum wage would be the equivalent of $11 in the US. Just something to think about, very best wishes for you're pregnancy.
