Hi, i'm Nikola. I've been married to my husband Willy for nearly 7 yrs & we're expecting our 3rd child on Oct 15th & i can't wait! We had our first 2 children when we were fairly young but definately feel more prepared this time around. I'll be 28 by the time my baby is born & my children will be aged 9 & 7 so there's a bit more of a gap then i'd wish for but now that they're both in school full time & i have all day to myself (i don't work, just a housewife) i feel that i have plenty of time on my hands (too much at times). Although i have to admit that we didn't plan this baby (it was just a happy accident) i really can't wait for it to arrive & feel that it will fit into my life perfectly right now. My children are both really excited & constantly ask questions. I try to show them pictures so they can see how it's changing & growing every week & tell them about all the new developments. My son who's the eldest was a wonderful baby. He's always been really loving. My daughter was a good baby but by 18mths-2yrs she became a bit of a handful. Now that she's a bit older she's growing into a lovely girl & she loves babies. I think she'll be a big help when the baby finally comes along. I can't get them to agree on the baby's sex though. My son of course wants a boy & my daughter a girl but i'm not going to find out so they'll have to wait a bit longer to see who's right!!

Wednesday, 19 November Hi, I'm glad the health visitor put your mind at rest, Abbie had good and bad days with focusing at the start.
She had her injections yesterday and she brought the place down! My mum came with me for support (Scott was working) but waited in the waiting area. She said everyone looked up and looked a bit shocked at her crying so it must have been really loud! Poor wee soul! I decided to wait with the paracetamol and just give it if she needed it, so she had some in the afternoon cos she was crying much harder than usual, then again at bed time to settle her, but other than that it was just the initial shock!
She got weighed as well and she's 12lb 10oz with her clothes, so about 12 5. That's above the average for her age, but not too much! Don't want her to get too big and get teased at school! At least she's good and healthy though!
She's been feeding non stop the last 3 days, when it gets to evening she's wanting fed every hour and cos I'm breast feeding I can't see what she's had. I spoke to the HV and she said just to feed on demand unless she's only on for 5 mins, then make her wait for a longer feed. It means my body's going into overdrive and producing loads overnight for her so I'm waking up like Jordan!! Very uncomfortable!! Apparently it makes your milk change though. like the hungry baby formula, can't wait for that to happen then I can start fitting my underwear again!!

Monday, 17 November hi, I think we are all alot busyer these days
Lisia doesn't really seam to have any routine at all yet accept to wake up at ten to 3 for a feed which is just the time I need to be getting her in the car to pick the boys up from school lol.
We chose Ann as her middle name or at least the family did as 90% of the girls in our family have been given that as a middle name. I however fall in to the other 10%
I had to put my number 2 boy onto hungrier baby milk as an extra on top of my milk as he was a big boy and is still much bigger than his older brother now.
Sorrry short chat my little girl is not happy with me. She whants her nappy changing NOW! lol

Did you get a bounty bag when she was born??? you should have pixifoto vouchers in their. They take some lovely photo's and not too expencive.
we registered lisia today so she is a legal human being now
her routine is to sleep all day and party all night!!!
but we are surviving. lol I'm sure as she gets bigger she will want to know what all the noise during the day is about and start to play more. emb17 -

She is absolutely beautiful!! All your children are! xx coylton gail -
Sunday, 9 November Abbie's definitely at the taking notice stage! She was crying whe I took her through last night and you'd have sworn she was trying to say "hungry"!! My living room and kitchen are all one long room, so I only have the clingy problem when I have to go through the bedroom or to the loo! It's a problem when Scott's trying to sleep and I have to go!!
Did you get Isobelle weighed? How's she getting on? I'll need to have a wee look at her new pics!! emb17 -
Friday, 7 November I think that is men in genral! they don't have to suffer hormones makeing their skin oily one min, dry the next etc... my dad and my brother look very tanned all year round too.
I alway find things turn up when you stop looking, however my son's nintendo went missing from our fire place about 3 months ago and still hasn't turned up. i've had the house appart looking for it. I hope you find it soon, i'm looking forward to seeing more pic's of Isobelle.
Are you getting much rest at the moment? coylton gail -
Thursday, 6 November I'm using a mixture of terry nappies and disposables, don't want to be carrying a stinky nappy about if I change her while I'm out!! And sometimes the washing gets on top of me and the disposables give me a wee break! I think even if I do half and half I'm doing something towards the environment! And also they're lovely and soft for her skin, the ones I got are made of bamboo fibre and it's gorgeous!
I'm glad Isobelle seems to be getting on well, I know what you mean though, the baby stage is so tiring but they're so adorable you want it to last! Abbie's started trying to talk! She's making wee cooing noises and just loves it when I make the same noises back! It signals her growing out of her baby stage but it's so amazing to "talk" to each other, I'm loving it so much!
I'm sure I'll manage to be with Abbie for her injections, it was not pleasant watching her getting her spot test from her heel, but I just convinced myself it was for the best! She'll forget about it long before I do! Thanks for the tip about giving the pain killer before you go though, I hadn't thought of that! coylton gail -
Wednesday, 5 November Scott's been doing bits as well, but he's finding it hard getting used to his new job cos he starts at either 1am or 3am, it's a horrible shift. He's not keen on the nappies cos I insisted on using terries and you've got to rinse the worst off! Also cos I'm breast feeding I've had to do all of that, but again my choice! He's been good at making our dinners and putting the dishwasher on though, it all helps! At our classes the midwives had said to remember to make time to eat and I though yeah right, like you'd forget, but it's so easy to get started on everything else and before you know it it's nearly tea time and you've not had lunch!
Had our 6 week checks today, Abbie's doing really well, everything's at least what's expected, some things are even better, like the way she's holding her head. She's 11lb 10oz now, she's going to be a big girl! I've still got my heart murmur which I thought would be away, but the doc said my blood flow will still be increased cos I'm breast feeding so that's probably why. Next appointment is in 2 weeks for her first injections, I'm not looking forward to that, I'll feel like such a traitor!!
I know it's for the best though! emb17 -
Tuesday, 4 November Lisia has my dad's skin and hair colouring. all my others have had blond hair, but the same great skin colour.
I was told by the m/w that loads of things will make a baby sneeze, even frash air. My number 3 boy wouldn't stop sneezing for the first few days.
I can't wait to see more pic's your littlun looks so cute in your profile pic

Tuesday, 4 November Hi, glad to hear things are going well, it's funny how we're all totally in love with our babies before we even get to know them! Abbie's smiling at us all just now, it's so gorgeous! It's proper smiles cos it's in response to us, I wasn't sure what age that would happen. Yes, I'm over my baby blues now, I'm so glad that's all it turned out to be, I was worried for a few days. I think it's just so overwhelming at the start. Your pics of Isobelle Rose are so sweet! I've added more on my Bebo site, I find it easier to upload on there and quicker. I should make the effort and put some more on here too, but not tonight, it's getting too late and I'm ready for bed! I've been staying out the room with Abbie to let Scott get a sleep before tonight's shift cos he's shattered, hate to think of him going out driving when he gets so tired. Hope I can move her through without waking her up! emb17 -

Sunday, 2 November Hi! Congratulations on your new baby girl, she's adorable! I had a wee read at your blog, bet you're glad you got to the hospital on time! I was the opposite, thought mine was coming on really quickly then it took ages!
We're all doing fine, Abbie's getting to her growth spurt so wanting fed every hour or so! I thought she was just at it till I realised that's what signals to your body to change the milk! Good job I did a bit of reading!
You and all your family must be delighted with your new arrival, hope everything's going well for you! xx emb17 -
Monday, 27 October Looks like you haven't been on line for a little while? I'm hoping that is good news?

Tuesday, 21 October Hi, how you doing, any news yet? Sorry it has taken soo long to reply but I have been flat out!
I'm still recovering from the shock I think. not only that she is a girl bit the fact that labour start to finish was only just over an hour, I saw the m/w today who came to deliver her and she too is still in shock as to how fast it went.
Lisia was 8lb 3 1/2 oz at birth she has been weighed today and she is 7lb 13. She allready feels like she has doubled in size though.
Take care and I hope you are well, em x coylton gail -
Monday, 20 October Hi, good to hear from you! You can't have long to wait now! You must be getting so excited!
Don't know if I said, I was in hospital a full week with Abbie cos she lost too much weight after birth. She had meconium and had swallowed some fluid on delivery which made her quite sick for the first few days, so I think that all added to my pressures of breast feeding! We've really got the hang of it now though and she's thriving! I'm even getting quite good at waking up through the night without feeling like the living dead!!
Best of luck for your delivery, hope everything goes well for you and I'll look forward to hearing your news! xx coylton gail -
Sunday, 19 October Hi, hope things are happening for you by now, can't be long now!
I was acting irrational and emotional when I got home with Abbie for the first couple of weeks, thought for a few days I was actually getting PND even though I totally loved her to bits straight away. Things have been better this week though, think itr was just the initial worries about doing things right and trying to keep up with everything in the house when I'd just been through a pretty major body change, never mind everything else! Mostly I was getting upset when she was crying and when I was feeding her, but I was totally knackered, I think that's mostly what it was down to.
Yes, I'm so proud of her! I absolutely love taking her out in the pram, heard some folk admiring her yesterday when my dad was pushing the pram and it made me feel so proud! She'll be 4 weeks old tomorrow. Already!! Yes, she's the first grandchild on my side, they're both thrilled to bits with her, or should I say all, mum's re-married and her husband s like an extra grandad! My mum got her a gym thing that plays music when she wriggles on it and she's already learned how to work the rattles!!
I was bad enough with the pain relief and an 8lb 14oz baby, can't imagine how your friend coped!!! Ouch! Hope her baby was long and not fat!! LOL!!
Let me know how things are, when you can!! xxx emb17 -
Thursday, 16 October Hi how you getting on???? any news yet????

Wednesday, 15 October Any twinges yet? My contractions are rally starting to get to me... I'm also not sure if my water might be leaking or not. I've never experianced what it is like before as it has always gone during birth. I don't really want to have to drive all the way to the hospital to find out if they have or not, then all the way back home again to wait for labour to start.
I'm not sure what to do at the mo, esp as it is gone midnight and all the kids are a sleep. emb17 -
Monday, 13 October Sadly MIL is back and making it known!!!
I can walk again but my pelvis burns like hell when I do so I'm not getting much of anything done. Every job req's a 5 min rest afterwards! lol any excuse really.
My m/w mentioned a sweep but to be honest I would ruther avoid it. I'm not keen on things like that.
Funny I have felt a bit sicky today, but i'm still getting lots of contractions so I have put it down to being sleepy from being kept awake at night.
Hope you feel better soon though, let me know what the m/w say's
