My First Baby!!!!

I've been married to my wonderful husband for 5 1/2 years. We decided that we were finally ready to hear little feet running around. I am so anxious to physically hold our baby in my arms, I can hardly wait to meet our little one. I started off in the pregnancy feeling great. But now this first trimester is kicking my booty.

The great thing was going to my first u/s at 8 weeks. Seeing my baby's little heartbeat was so earth moving. I have a little being inside me, depending on me. Through love, my husband and I created this being. It is amazing...a true miracle.

Me & Baby My happy Hubby & Baby

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I felt the first movements here on the 14th week. It was such a strange feeling. I felt like something was tickling me from the inside. How cute to feel the baby move.

My hubby felt the baby move today, week 17. They say it may be too soon, but I think we have a strong little one. Arnold put his hand on my belly and pushed a little, that is when he felt a little jab back, "Go away Daddy!"

Had my 18 week ultrasound, we thought we might be able to see if it was a boy or a girl. Our little Kung-Foo Fighter was moving way too much for the tech to focus in on anything. First Tech said it was a boy, second tech said it was a girl. Which ever it is, it is definatley going to keep Mommy & Daddy on our feet!!!!

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

I'm reasoning with her and let my lil' one know she can stay until 6/13. After that she must get out. LOL... As if that will work, but hey it's worth a try. I guess I'm being a little selfish because I'm still working and it's the hardest thing when you can't sleep at night. *Sigh*... Goodness, 99 F. I won't complain. We are only at 60, which sucks, but this weekend we hit 82 and I was a walking time bomb. So I will not complain. Try to stay cool, drink lots of water, and good luck to you. Maybe, just maybe our little ones will come w/in the next week or 2.

BH is short for Braxton Hicks contraction or practice contractions. It was a little too early for me to be having them so I stopped. I haven't had one since though and now I'm thinking some practice might be nice!

Hi! I work at a Health Department where childhood Immunizations are one of our primary jobs, and I'm not going to get the birth dose of Hep B for my baby only because when she starts her regular immunizations they often do combination shots (my other girls had those) where instead of the baby having to get 5 shots, they can do several of them in one and save her the trauma of multiple shots. If she gets the birth dose, then when she gets the other combo shots, she ends up with one extra. SO... I'm waiting, but that is just my opinion. :) Good Luck ~

I think that is pure evil-spiritedness! :) I started this process with a reproductive endocrinologist and his nurse got me a script for Zofran the MINUTE I told her how sick I had been. I've been on it since 7 weeks and no harm to the baby! I don't think I would have a job anymore if I didn't have that medicine. I just can barely make it through the day when I feel so nauseous!

My first pregnancy I was almost hospitalized because of my morning sickness (this time it is much more mild). My doctor reassured me and my husband that the baby would take all of the nutrition it needs from your fat stores (I started to look like a walking skeleton). If things are really bad, your doctor might have you start protein shakes, or even have you go into the hospital for an IV. Make sure that you talk to your doctor regularly, you can even call his office and leave a message with his receptionist if you need to. Best wishes!!

Yep. I've been really sick this time too, and still on medicine to help me keep my food down (but it doesn't seem to work every single time.) As long as you're able to keep some fluids down and a few snacks a day, don't worry too much about the baby. What the baby doesn't get from food, it'll take out of the stores in your body. So, you'll get sick a long time before the baby does. Good luck to you, and I really hope you start to feel better soon.

I still have m/s, too...I thought it was supposed to go away. I think it is my prenatal vitamins though. I take them at night, but I am going to try to take something else...I heard some people take flintstones vitamins. I put a call into my OB today and I will see what she says about other options...good luck and hopefully yours will go away soon...

Has your OB prescribed any anti-nausea medication? I swear, if it weren't for Zofran I would be suicidal and without a job by now!
