phonics - Thursday, 28 August I also hear you can swadle them and put them in a sling and walk around with them and they go to sleep.
If they don't stop crying run a vacuum or a hair dryer.
phonics - Thursday, 28 August Have you tried swadling her, putting her to sleep, and then in z swing? I will say this. Mine would cry if she was not held and I held her all day for 7 weeks. Now she is going to daycare next week and I don't want her crying all day there so I decided to "train her". So we put her in her crib when we knew she was sleepy and let her cry herself to sleep. It took 35 minutes! She slept for an hour thenwoke up again. We fed her, changed her, and then put her back. 45 minutes later she was sleep (after crying of course). She slept for 2.5 hours andwoke up. We fed her, changd, her and put her back. This time no crying (she might have cried herlf out already for the day) and she went to sleep from 3am-77:45 am. I took her to the nursery today since it was my birthday and I had a spa day and she was great. I came back andshe was not crying. She has not cried since I have gotten her unless she wa hungry.
It is true. You cannot spoil an infant, but you can get them usedto something and then when they dont have it they are not happy.
LLET HER CRY. I know it is hard, but necessary for your sanity. I was so unhappy. So alone. My mom was getting on my nerves talking about my weight gain (I am a size 5) not big at all. Then my fiance' is starting his promoted job so he is already stressed and does not understand. I dont like to hear her cry, but i would rather her cry with me than anyone else.
dawniek - Tuesday, 26 August Hi there! I've been on holiday over the bank hol so thats why i've not been intouch. How's thomas? Any better in the day time? I've now stoped breastfeeding. Best thing i've done. He's loads more settled and sleeps longer. He taking 5oz. How much does thomas take? I've got a fisherprice rainforest swing. It's the best. Always get stuff done when i put him in it. xxx
dawniek - Thursday, 21 August Hi hun! It's the lake of sleep. It really turns you into a crazy person. I feel the same as you. I'm snaping all the time. I've lost my sence of humour. I'm like the walking dead. Just one full nights sleep would sort me out.
Sounds like thomas could have colic. I really hope he ant tho. They have that for about 10 weeks. Have you tryed gripe water or infecol, not sure on the spelling.
Feeding for me is getting better. We are giving a bottle at about 11ish and it seems to work. Gona start giving him the bottle in the day and breast at night. Hope you start to feel better soon. xxxxx

I am coping with the nights better than the day's to be honest! He is really good during the night and will sleep up to 4 hours at a time...but during the day he stays awake ALLLLLL day and will fuss if I dont pick him up or put him on my boob every hour! It gets hard bc I cant get anything done around my house or anything else!
1sttimemommysumerlea - Thursday, 14 August Your little guy is so cute!! Thats good that you were able to avoid the c section too..and after reading your birth story I can totally agree about the pain and feeling like you have no vagina left! haha! Its getting better now though.. things are going pretty well, just feeding every two hours or so during the day and every 3 or so during the night...loving motherhood so far! So how is it adjusting to having 2 kids instead of one now?
MommyWonder - Thursday, 14 August I've had a few people make mention of "when we have another one" and I am annoyed. I'm still healing as well (baby is 2 weeks old now) and can't imagine being pregnant for another 9/10 months of my life. I just want to enjoy being a first-time mommy.

dawniek - Friday, 8 August I'm finding it dame hard to cope. I feel like i'm loosing the will to live some days. Soooo knackard. We have started to give him a bottle on a night. He goes about 4 hours which is great. Might do the mix feeding like you are doing. xxxxx
oldie44 - Friday, 8 August I am not very tired. I am actually lucky that my husband agreed to let me sleep at night on the second floor, away from the baby, because I cannot relax next to him, every sound he makes makes me jump and check on him. We made an agreement with my husband that I take care of the baby during the day and he- during the night. It works great! Fortunately, my previous child is 6 year old, goes to day care for all day from 8-6:30 pm and is self sufficient at home.
