BabyNadia - Friday, 25 April don't worry, I'm also a wimp when it comes to pain. But I figured that since millions of women around the world give birth everyday - it can't be THAT bad! Lets the both of us wait and see. By the way, the NHS sounds wonderful - we have to fork out lots and lots of money for nice proper hospitals and decent service here. The government services are terrible!
dawniek - Thursday, 24 April Just got back from my scan. All is good. Such a relife when you have a scan. He's head down and curled up with his feet next to his face. He's got longer than avarage size legs. Don't know were they come from cause no ones tall in the famliy he,he! I've not had no mental cravings really. I love ice lollies and anything sweet, lots of cake he,he! xxx

amygirl22 - Tuesday, 22 April Yea I'm excited! My doctor told me yesterday that I might be further along than what they thought. So its all depending on my ultrasound. I get that done monday.
dawniek - Tuesday, 22 April Hi hun! The time is just flying by. I can't belive it. 13 weeks left, yay! I'm not getting scared about the birth yet. Gona try and do it as nat as poss, but if the pain gets too bad, bring on the drugs lol! Hope you can have a nat birth. Do you think you will have any drugs? Have you heard of a tenns machine? Gona hire one and use it for the early stages of labor. You will have to let me know how you get on with the docs? I've got a scan on thursday,i can't wait to see what position he's in and that all is well. I worry everyday. How you feeling? The tierdness as started kicking in again with me. xxx
Does that mean you don't yet have a bed? 'Cos I'm from South Africa and we take the Doc's letter to the hospital by ourselves and fill out a form and then they book us in. This is obviously after we obtain permission from our medical insurance company and an authorisation number. The one catch is that all this should be done between 12 and 20 weeks of pregnancy.
So are you worried about it?
BTW - if its any consolation - I'm huge too. Some idiot asked if I was hiding a little gorilla in there - I was NOT impressed! :)
MommaD - Monday, 21 April The bumps are a type of oil-producing gland called Montgomery's tubercles. They show up alot more in pregnancy. They look like pimples sort-of. Is that what kind of lumps you are talking about?
BabyNadia - Friday, 18 April Happy Belated Birthday to your little Molly. Did you speak to that consultant yet? Is ther e a chance of VBAC? The spinal sounds scary - I've got asthma and the one thing that scares me stiff is the thought of being unable to breathe. I'm gonna try for natural as much as possible. The recovery time is so much quicker.

BabyNadia - Friday, 11 April No problem. Im dreading seeing now for the first time! Im 25 weeks along and starting to worry about the vaginal delivery. It all looks quite scary!
BabyNadia - Friday, 11 April Hi there, a mucus plug is a protective seal formed at the entrance to the uterus (that is the cervix) in the first two months or so. It prevents infections from entering the uterus and harming the developing foetus. It usually 'comes away' before labour and is then termed a "show". It could be slightly bloody at this stage. Too much blood could indicate a problem like placenta praevia.
amygirl22 - Thursday, 10 April No no set date yet. I go back to see my doctor April 21. It was supposed to be on the 30th but I rescheduled it sooner. LoL. So I'll probably have one around the end of the month. I'll be anywhere between 9-10 weeks then.
