MommyWonder - Monday, 7 July I know how you feel. I just want this baby out of me at this point, especially since I feel like I'm at the end of my nesting phase. I'm sooo sick of the uncomfortable night shift. I can function fine during the day though.
pregoteacherorlando - Monday, 7 July Thanks for your comment! I hope you're feeling well! Jackie
surprisebaby - Monday, 7 July I wanted a vaginal birth as well, as was trying so hard to get closer to my due date because I thought I might go into labor naturally, but I did what was necessary to keep us both healthy. That is what is most important is that you are both safe and healthy. Just go appointment by appointment and don't get too worried about it, whatever they think is the necessary next step you should go with.
tdawn - Sunday, 6 July I am feeling the same as you, excited for labour and to meet the baby! But at the same time I feel like I would miss being pregnant! Things are pretty good, I have had a few strong (painful) and long contractions, but they led to nothing and must have been Braxton Hicks, I was confused because on this site it says that braxton hicks contractions don't hurt... oh well! We are almost finished the house, and plan to move in on the 14th! (Another reason for my baby girl to stay in for longer). Jeremy is doing a really good job, I can't wait to move in! I have started washing all of the baby's clothes & blankets, but then realized that I had nowhere to put them as we won't set up her dressers & change table until we move in! They are washed and in boxes now... lol. That is the most frustrating thing, wanting to have things ready for her, and having nowhere to put them!
tdawn - Sunday, 6 July How long have your braxton hicks been going on for, that seems really frequent! Do you have a nurse line where you live? Or perhaps you should phone Labour & Delivery to ask them if that is normal? It sounds like you may have your little one soon!! Let me know what you find out!
LookitsErin - Sunday, 6 July I would call your doctor if they are coming in any sort of a pattern, but I hate to tell y ou BH contractions this close to the end of your preg are normal... I prolly get about 25 to 35 a day... i know it sucks because they psych us out all the time... good luck hun!
surprisebaby - Saturday, 5 July I had a c-section with my first child and my second was a vaginal birth. I just had my third, which was a c-section and 2 weeks early due to pre-eclampsia. If you go into labor naturally then a vaginal birth would be ok, I was also told you cannot induce someone who had a previous c-section as it would put too much pressure on the previous scar in your uterus and could cause the uterus to rupture. Due to my pre-eclampsia and my cervix was not doing anything, I had to have a c-section again.
amygirl22 - Thursday, 3 July Thanks!! I'm really excited. I'm just bummed out she couldnt get a picture of it bc he kept moving. First the umbilical cord was between his legs. Then when that moved he stuck his hands down there. LoL. Typical guy. She finally got a good shot but when she went to take the pic he moved. We have the name Evan James picked out. Its the only one we could both agree on.
KristenMatt - Wednesday, 2 July oh, i sooo agree w/you about some women having kids like it's nothing & not being good mums while others would do almost anything to be able to have their own bundle of joy and just can't conceive. that pisses me off!
i don't think it's mean AT AAAALL to not want to be around someone like that. i don't talk to either of my sisters bc of their behavior. i TRY not to judge or knock their lifestyle, but i want nothing to do w/it. i don't care if someone wants to smoke dope on the wknd, that's none of my business, but i won't let my kids visit and i won't visit them if i think they do it as they please. my mother asked if she could visit w/my older son (12 YR old). i said sure! i let him go downstairs (she lived in the apt downstairs fm me). after about 1/2 hr of being there, he stooooormed back upstairs. i asked what was wrong. he told me that my sister and mother were smoking dope in the bedrm while he was watching my sister's 3 kids! oh, yes, i had a fit! i marched downstairs and confronted my mother. she said she can do what she wants in her own house! i said, "NOT when my son is down here!" we didn't talk for wks after that.
nope, you're not being mean, you're protecting yourself!
ragskusa24 - Tuesday, 1 July Hey there- I had the same globby/white substance and I went to the doctor...he said it was normal and not the mucus plug! I was hoping it was!! Hopefully it will happen soon though!
mommy-of-3 - Tuesday, 1 July Hi thanks for the birth control info, I'm from the U.S. and I think we do that IUD here too as far as I know anyway.
molly2416 - Sunday, 29 June I just got some new pictures up of the girls and of our new driveway. I'm now getting ready to take down the chicken wall paper that's in our Kitchen. Hopefully we can paint it in a few weeks as soon as I get it down. Hope all is good and hope to talk to you soon!!!
LookitsErin - Sunday, 29 June lets hope it is.... i didn't lose mine till 41 wks with my daughter... hopefully this one won't take so long to make her debut into the world
sherryanne - Saturday, 28 June Mmm yes, orange or strawberry sun lollies! Trouble is I keep blaming the 29lb weight gain on the baby, am beginning to wonder! lol
sherryanne - Saturday, 28 June I know what you mean about the hospital, and the parking fees! Is a nightmare! I'll be glad when its all over too, am really starting to get uncomfortable now!
I had glucose in my urine too 3 times, I had a glucose tolerance test though and it came back normal, think its just my liking for sweets! lol, have discovered if I cut them out completely before I have a urine test it always comes back normal :)
Do you have to go to the hospital every week now or the midwife? I've not seen my midwife for a few weeks now as I've been going to the hospital, she basically said theres not much point in seeing both!
sherryanne - Friday, 27 June Aww I'm sure lots of women with younger children feel exactly the same, I did last night, had a stupid crying episode for not much of a reason but couldnt stop! My son was asking me if I wanted to play on the PS3 with him and I felt so guilty but I couldnt! It'll all be worth it in the end :)
How did your hospital appointment go?
apreece - Thursday, 26 June Having glucose in your urine means that your sugar is too high and is spilling over into your urine. That is one of the first indicators of diabetes.
sherryanne - Wednesday, 25 June I know what you mean, I'm ready to have this baby now, in fact I think I was about a month ago! lol, although I'm impatient
Are you seeing your midwife/consultant again soon then? I love getting to see them as it just gives that little bit of reassurance that everything is ok, wish I could tell which way around the baby is just by feeling it, what a skill to have! Would be great!
sherryanne - Wednesday, 25 June Its a girl :) gonna be called Bethany. I also have a son who's 11! so quite a big gap! in fact so long that the doc told me last week that I'm now considered to be pregnant for the first time again because its been so long! I've not had any problems at all so far apart from that she's breech, am hoping she'll turn soon as they have said they will try to turn her at 37 weeks and if not it'll be a cesarean. I've seen the docs quite often because I've had a lot of miscarriages in the past, luckily all early though so things are looking really good!
How has your pregnancy been?
sherryanne - Wednesday, 25 June I kinda thought that the docs over here dont like to investigate down there unless absolutely necessary in case it interferes with anything. Well I guess we're the lucky ones
sherryanne - Wednesday, 25 June Hiya, just saw your post in week 35, I'm in the UK too and this is my second pregnancy. I've never been checked for dilation either! Not untill I was actually in labour with my son first time around, guess its and american thing. Hope your pregnancy is going well! :)
