12 WEEK SCAN

10 years since I had my daughter...I have been 'broody' for a year or so and could hear my biological clock tick. Nothing seemed to matter as much as planning for our 2nd child.

I am constantly trying to hide the fact that I am a nervous wreck, worrying if everything is ok. It must be because of my age and how much I want it this time. Children are so precious.

Well flower hows you n bubs :) keeping well i hope - not long now babe eh. Ewan had a real bad week he is loaded with the cold a real chesty cough and not feeding too well cause of it. Had to take him to the Dr on thurs cause it got real bad and i was worried but doc said just to let his wee immune sys take care of it :( doesnt help him much in the mean time - and he caught it from his dad - gareth was off last week for his pat leave and had man flu lol he couldnt move all week - a lot of help to me but im sure you know all about man flu tee hee. he went back to work on monday and guess what he feels a lot better - do anything to get outta housework!! im really missing work even tho Ewan is keeping me busy but im really thinkin bout going back early. Miss the company of my workmates and as my job is seasonal the grass is growing and theyre busy and my head is turned in the house no pleasing me. Ewan is 4 weeks old today and it feels like he been here forever - he was weighed last friday (29th) and was 7lb 15oz so im sure he is over 8lb now and changing every day. My wee sis came home from uni yesterday and cried when she saw him she hasnt been able to put him down as this is the 1st she saw him - its sweet, so sweet. havent took any pic lately but when i get him bathed and dressed later ill take some more to let you see how big he has got. Hope Si and Esme are looking after you babe, bet your big now tee hee bet your exciited now. Did you breastfeed?? If so have you any info on expressing - gonna have a go i think but wanted some 1st hand info before i start. Take care and ill be in touch soon x Cathy x x

Well flower hows work going this week? Had a bit of a bad weekend :( real bad cramps last wed night and heavy bleeding and when mw came she took my temp and told me she thought i had an infection in my uterus on thurs and done a swab. Got the results back sat morn and said i got a inf and i got group B Strep!!! Put me on a bit of a downer as she told me that any future pregnancies will be high risk - scary really - but put me on a high dose of penicillin for the inf and the strep b is untreatable. On the other hand we registered the birth on Friday and bubs name is Ewan Allen-Kinney :) he got both surnames as were not married but he really looks like a wee Ewan!!! Trying not to think of the other so it doesnt get me down. Ill get some more pics up need to download them from the camera lol havent got that far. Hope you ok. Simon will be fine wait to you see - gareth has been great with Ewan - not so good with me n the house lol - still allergic to housework - to be honest im lookin forward to him going back he getting under my feet and i questioning everythin i do!!! Arrrhh Cant win!! Keep in touch babe and i promise to get on as often as i can :) Take care babes and keep your chin up - it wont be long now ;) x x x x

Hello Chick

Well midwife just been and bubs (still no name lol) is weighing in at 7lb half oz already!! They cant believe how well he has done. He was over his birth weight @ 6 days weighing in 6lb 15oz on thurs. My uterus has nearly shrunk completely and back in my own clothes and feeling good. My nether reigons (tmi) are still a bit tender but apart from that feeling great. Gonna make an attempt of going out tmrw and taking him in the car, gonna see my workmates so ill let you know how i go. Missing my spicy foods and fizzy drinks :( the only downfall of breastfeeding ) but hey these things have to be done. Hope your keeping well havent heard from you in a day or two - your prob up to your eyes but just wanted to let you know how we are and to know that were thinking bout you babe x x x
