12 WEEK SCAN

10 years since I had my daughter...I have been 'broody' for a year or so and could hear my biological clock tick. Nothing seemed to matter as much as planning for our 2nd child.

I am constantly trying to hide the fact that I am a nervous wreck, worrying if everything is ok. It must be because of my age and how much I want it this time. Children are so precious.

hey! Just wondering how little Pollyanna is doing! Any news on her hip? We took Tiago to this fancy doctor a few weeks ago, and he didn´t see anything wrong on a physical exam, and even looking at his scan, I had the feeling he wanted to say that this plastic diaper he needs to wear is too much, but he couldn´t... He said if he doesn´t wear it and he comes back in a couple months he will probably be fine, but then what if his hip for some reason is still not perfect then you´ll think "why didn´t we..." I felt like he just wanted to cover his back. A LOT of people I meet here say "oh, my daughter had the same thing, my niece, my neighboor", etc. But it seems like they all had to wear 2 diapers only. I guess we saw a very cautious doctor. So he still has 10 days to go wearing it full time, and then 2 weeks only at night. Then we have another scan at the end of august. I hope everything is well with Pollyanna next appt.! Keep me posted! Juliana

no prob hun! i just try to stay focused on my baby and soon im going to start school again! also i go out for walks and i just started exercising again! so that helps alot!!!! how about u???

Hi! My problem with working is similar. I have to make more money than childcare, and if I only profit say- $30 than, whats the point? I didn't realize how difficult it was going to be, going back to work and having Chase being well taken care of at the same time. Also, I can't NOT work, financially it is impossible for us, I need to make money-I am trying to find a work at home job, I hope I do, it would be sooo great. Anyway, we own a pizzeria, and I make sure to try & get out of the house everyday, even if I just go hang out at the pizzeria and have lunch, or help out. I also go to walmart and the store alot. I tried to find out if there is any mom & baby classes or groups around, but haven't found anything yet. I read all of your comments about other moms being like us and being lonely or bored, and I guess we are not alone! By the way, your older daughter is so pretty, and you have cute baby too!!! Oh ya-- I love taking walks with Chase- he likes it too!

Hey my husband and I are in the military and we are in Wyoming. I work weekdays and my husband works nights. Yes I am sometimes bored. And did I mention I got to school full time and in sept. I will starting grad school. You just have to find a hobby or something.

i know how you feel. my hubby is in the military also and i'm a sahm. we live in califonia and my family in texas. it gets hard because we only have one car and he takes it to work. so i'm home all day trying to entertain a 3 year old and take care of a 2 month old. plus i dont know alot of people here. i know that doesnt help but your not alone.

hey i read ur post about being alone! well if it helps.... im ALWAYS alone!! lol...the hubby works endlessss shifts since his in the military and my fam live faaar away....and if the is not working, his away on duty for weeks...like this next week his going to japan for 4months...oh yeah and i just moved to this town so i dont really have any friends! ha! so i understand how u feel! im here if u need to talk =)

I do have my Mom around, but other than that I am alone all week. It does help getting out of the house, but you are still alone walking and running errands and stuff so it is better to find some sort of community gatherings. Every Thurs. I attend a breast feeding clinic. It is great to chat with other Moms with babies close in age to mine. They are a great resource for all sorts of information as well there is 2 nurses available. Unfortunately, that is all that I have found in my area during the summer months. In the fall there are more programs and I intend on joining them!
Good luck! You will feel better when you get out and get more interaction with people.
