12 WEEK SCAN

10 years since I had my daughter...I have been 'broody' for a year or so and could hear my biological clock tick. Nothing seemed to matter as much as planning for our 2nd child.

I am constantly trying to hide the fact that I am a nervous wreck, worrying if everything is ok. It must be because of my age and how much I want it this time. Children are so precious.

God could not be everywhere, and therefore He created mothers ~Jewish Proverb

You're right, I read what I can while I am breast feeding, otherwise there just is not time!!

ladobruk - Saturday, 31 May
It's always encouraging to know other parents are going through similiar things! I blamed the breast feeding, lower or slower production in the evening, what I eat etc. etc. the list goes on and it is good to hear that bottle feed babies experience it too. Why are babies so darn fussy in the evening? This is our first. I am trying to enjoy her while she is so little, but at the same time I also find myself thinking about how nice it will be when she can tell me what is wrong!

where are you from? i may be able to help find you swimming classes and nappies. thank you for your compliments. i really dont believe i'm coping that well but you are right that i owe all the credit for coping at all to my daughter

hi thanks for the comment.. that pic was taken when she was 3 months you can take babies swimming from any age because polio isnt found in pools these days

 She is beautiful!

Are you breast feeding? Shayla was the same way 4 pm-bedtime she was quite fussy. This past week I have watched carefully what I eat and I have been fairly successful in getting her to hap during the day and she has been much better. Her fussy time is still the evening, but it wasn't near as bad this week. My diet is quite plain at the moment. I foresee me eating a lot of chicken and rice in the future!

My baby had what we called "the witching hour" where she'd cry and cry for no apparent reason. I thought it was going to last forever and my mother kept calling her colicky, but it just stopped. She just went through a phase. It lasted about 2 weeks (though not every single day, but most days) She's 8 weeks now and doesn't cry like that anymore unless she's completely overtired or hungry and we aren't getting to her in time.

It definitely reads well. I could never do the 3 hour schedule as she lays it out with my girl, she feeds every 1.5-2 hours, but the routine of "EASY" is interesting. I am just stuck on the sleeping part. My girl will not go to sleep on her own. I don't know if I have it in me to tackle that particular issue, if it is even an issue, at this time.

Thanks so much for your message, at least I do not feel as lonely and hopeless. I hope I get better soon

HI! Good luck with the scan! From what I read on the web if there's anything wrong with their hips we should be thankful it was caught early. But I think the click is something pretty common, the pediatrician said I could just start using 2 diapers till the appt with the traumatologist on the 10th He did the maneuver to hear the click and couldn't find anything... My husband is not worried either. Apparently a click is fine, a "clunk" is what they worry about, it means the femur pops out of the hip socket. But of course, he didn;t go online and started reading all the sh*t I did! Thanks for your message! Keep me posted, ok?? Juliana

It's so great. Drew is doing wonderful and mommy and daddy are so happy! He is changing every day and I just want him to stay little forever. I hate thinking that he is going to grow up and be walking, talking etc. :)

I love being a mommy. How are you doing?

babystanton - Thursday, 22 May
Hi there. Sometimes Drew will sleep through the night and sometimes he won't so we are playing catch up with the sleep thing. hahahaha
