You poor thing! I don't know how you did it. My doc came to check on me the second morning and found me in my room crying because I thought they were never going to let me leave! It drove me nuts how they would take our blood pressures and temperatures constantly around the clock and never let us sleep or nurse or anything in peace. I hardly even nursed at the hospital. It was too much for me.

Back home we are much happier. My little girl is so sweet.

Glad you and Marli bonded so well, but sorry you had to go thru that.

Hi Nina, how you doing? How long did they keep you in the hospital anyway? I wouldve went nuts. I had a meltdown because they made me stay two days. The hospital is dreaful!

Love the name Marli-too cute! How are you two gettting along? I never expected to love my daughter so much. I'm really crazy about her! :)

So glad that you finally got to go home. I'm assuming that your BP went back down to normal. I got the call this morning that my doc has scheduled me for an induction on thursday morning, but I'm not sure why. I have an appt tomorrow and an u/s, so I'll be asking lots of questions. Hopefully I'll go into labor on my own. But again, congrats. I'm so happy for you!

Nina....congrats to you...and i love the name Marli, its beautiful. I had the same thing with my first baby, my BP would not go down...I think it took over a week so I can sympathise with you. Im still hanging in here. They have scheduled me for induction on Wednesday because of my age so at least I can see an end in sight. so good to get an update from you. I saw your post-- I hate that you're having BP problems still. I'm praying for you, girl. Just hang in there; you'll be home with Marli soon and will have all kinds of time to play with all of the stuff you got for her. :o) I'm hanging in there, don't worry about me, although I gotta admit that I'm getting pretty impatient with this little guy. I keep trying to convince him that life is better on the outside but he's being sooo stubborn. You'd think for sure he's a Taurus instead of a Gemini. lol I'm hoping that I'll go into labor over the weekend but I probably won't b/c I want it too much. Doc is gonna do an u/s on my appt Wed and if everything is okay, said she'd induce at the end of next week (prolly Fri or Sat I'm guessing). So, if he doesn't come within a week, doc is gonna force him out anyway! Soon we'll be swapping baby stories. Take care, chica.

Hola! Alexandria was 8 lbs 9 oz, so she wasn't that big after all.

My labor was crazy. Very animalistic and instinctual. She didn't turn until the last five minutes--I had to spend hours pushing to try to force her through. It was so hard that I don't even think I would recommend natural birth to anyone if you don't have to. Lol! I honestly think I had to in order to avoid c section, so I feel so blessed that I was able to do it.

So how high is your BP? I have always had low BP--last time it was 95/58. They worried more about it getting too low than anything else. You need to come and eat fresh garlic (smashed in my pilon) with extra virgin olive oil. I put that on everything and I swear that's why my BP, cholesterol, etc are so good.

Hope they let you go soon. I'm here til Saturday. My current challenge is that it's been over 12 hours and baby hasn't peed or pooped. If she doesn't by 24 hours, they are going to force me to supplement. :( wish us luck!

Awesome. I'm so glad to hear that you girls are doing good. I can't wait to see pictures. Glad it went so well---I was really praying that you didn't have a ridiculously long labor b/c of the induction. I bet she's a cutie pie! Get some rest.. we'll be waiting to hear more from ya soon!
