IT'S A BOY!!!! MOSHE ISRAEL BORN DEC 4TH 2007 ON THE FIRST DAY OF CHANUKAH
BIRTH STORY:
LOCATED ON HIS CHILDREN'S PAGE.

MOSHE ISRAEL JUST MINUTES OLD!! 8LBS 21 INCHES LONG! 12-4-07

AND MONTHS LATER.......

HEY GIRLS! THIS IS A GREAT SITE!

A LADY SAID TO ME OVER THE PHONE ONCE...G-D ALLOWS US AS HUMAN BEINGS TO PARTICIPATE IN ONE MIRACLE...BEING PREGNANT. HE TAKES A WOMAN AND FOR NINE MONTHS ALLOWS HER TO BE A PART OF HIS MIRACLE.

Think about that...just really THINK about it!!!!!

Glad to be here just to share! I've been with the same man for more than half of my life. We met when we were both 18 years old and started dating February of 1988. We married May of 1991 and now nearly 20 years later, we're bringing a little one into our lives...finally! LOL I can't wait to see what we created!!!

During December of 2006 on the 8th I got the phone call everybody dreads. "Mrs. Watson, your husband has had a motorcycle accident." I thought I was going to pass out cold! I drove to the site of the accident at 70MPH in less than 5 minutes. Thank g-d he wasn't severely injured. It was that night I told him that I had enough of him riding, but the decision to give it up was his. He'd been riding for 12 years. Because of his love for me, he did. His bike was totaled and we later purchased a new Chevy Cobalt with the settlement. So it was that month we decided we wanted to start our family. I didn't officially go off the pill til hubby told me to in February of 2007. I had a period on March the 1st and on April 1st I tested positive! Hubby and I conceived in EXACTLY 4 weeks. Even the OB I chose was impressed. She told me it took her an her hubby 6 weeks to do it! LOL The amazing thing about our journey to conceive though a very short one was the time I was due....December 6th!! That's only 2 days from the time I almost loss my husband in an accident. Isn't G-d amazing??!! He has had His hand on hubby and I through this whole journey and I can't wait to see what he has allowed us to create! Still to this day, our journey amazes me!!

****I've received some things from my registries already! HOW EXCITING!! So nice to know that someone out there is so kind to bless me so early. I'm not due til December! I look at the sleepers almost everyday and think...wow, I'm going to be putting someone into to these in just 4 months. Can't wait to get the Health and Grooming Kit. I'm really excited someone got me that already! (8-11-2007)

****Well, my little one has become MUCH more active!! It's SO exciting!! He's fluttering like nuts now, but mommy does need to eat so that may be one of the reasons he's so active! Let's see what happens after I eat! LOL (8-13-2007)

****Well, I had a scare today! I fell at work! I'm a server and it was not pretty. I spent 3 1/2 hours in the ER, but doctor says all is just fine! Thank G-d!! He put me on rest for 3 days, but I'll be out for the rest of the week. I can return to work on Fri., but I don't work Fridays or Saturdays, so I won't be back til next Sunday! Why aren't I happy about that??!! During the sonogram, baby became very active and the tech was actually happy to be doing my songram even under the circumstances, because she usually only does them in the first trimester when something is wrong. She was happy to see an active baby doing quite well. Under the circumstances, I was glad to have made her day considering her job isn't always as happy as she was today. So my back hurts and my knees hurt...I landed on my knees....but I'm home now. Baby seems to be just fine! On the way home, I was almost in an accident. That was about it for me! Luckily, hubby was one car ahead and saw the whole thing and pulled over to "handle" the situation. I was sent home. I was angry, so that was a good thing! Maybe it's a good thing I don't have to come out of my house til next Sunday. LOL Rest, rest, rest! I have an OB follow-up on Tuesday. I can't wait to share all of this with her! (8-19-2007)

*****Hubby and I had our hospital tour today. It made everything seem so much more real...wow! The rooms are incredible! The birthing room (and that is what's it's called) is HUGE! The regular room isn't bad itself. They gave me my part of the co-pay today and I nearly passed out when I saw it. $1500!!!! YIKES!!! I better have one cute baby when this is all over! I suppose I can't complain too much. Many don't have insurance nor medicaid to help them out. I think since hubby and I will have a little one born before the tax year is out, we'll take that extra money coming from him and use it to pay off this particular part of our bill, because we'll be receiving another for his care in the nursery and such. I see now why many women don't take a lot of maternity leave. I'll only be able to do about two months. But the blessing is I'll only be able to work nights once little one gets here. I'll be able to spend the whole day with him. So we are pre-admitted to the hospital and now just have to wait for little to make his/her entrance. I took an eight hour nap today!! LOL I've been having a horrible time sleeping. It's 11 at night and I'm awake, but I will be going to lie down in a couple of hours I think. I see now why this time off from work will be good for me in the end. I can catch up on my sleep. (8-21-2007)

****I woke up this morning with my eyes caked shut!! I was like oh no....pink eye!! It's not thank goodness. It's from dumb ole Nisey not taking her contacts out like she should and I got an inflammation from it!! Doctor told me to pick up some OTC eyedrops and he's going to see how I look tomorrow. So no contacts for a while til this clears up! The visit only cost me $25..a lot less than going to a general doctor who specializes in everything. So I can cancel that appt. I made for Friday. YIKES! My week off is not quite going like I expected...but that's life I suppose. I applied for Medicaid today...the worse they can say is no. But medicaid along with my insurance at work would be a BIG help to hubby and I. We'll see in 45 days how it goes. Wish me luck!! (8-22-2007)

****I returned to work today and everything went incredibly well! I made $100, and that was definitely a big help being off for the week! Also while there, one of the servers surprised me with gifts for the baby! She got me a sleeper outfit, a fleece blanket, another bigger blanket, something called a spiral Tigger....I can put it on the baby carrier, crib, or wherever, and finally, she got me the cutest pair of baby shoes! Everytime I look at them , I JUST DIE!! LOL Hubby told me to not take them out of the bag again til the baby gets here! LOL It was such a nice surprise and the cool thing is...the spiral Tigger was on my Wal-Mart registry...so I just took it off! HOW NEAT! This is sooooooo exciting and I can already tell I'm going to be a mess at my shower. I'm going to take one hour to look at one gift! LOL I LOVE THIS! (8-26-2007)

****I had my 25 week U/S today. The tech said even with my fibroids baby and me are doing just fine!! I've got a 2 pounder going right now. She teased me and told from the moment she put the thing on my belly that I was doing it wrong...I'm breech! LOL I teased her and told her...I wasn't doing anything wrong...that's my son! So, I've updated with pix below! (8-28-2007)

****You know, it's pretty cool having a husband who works in a print shop! One of the girls doing my shower was going to print up all the invitations on her computer til I reminded her where my hubby works!! She gave me her ideas and then I took that to the print shop and me and the "other" Denise sat for nearly an hour putting everything together. I can't wait to see them. Denise is the graphics artist at Bayou Printing and I've seen her work...my invites are going to be great! It's hard for me to sit back and let someone else plan for me. I've always been the one to be the hostess. The girls have told me to just sit back and let someone else spoil me for a change. October 21st won't get here fast enough!! LOL (8-29-2007)

****I got my invitations from my hubby today! They look FABULOUS! I gave them to the hostess of my shower and she's going to try and get them in the mail on Saturday. I still can't believe it sometimes! My shower is just a little over a month away...AMAZING!! I can't wait for this nursery to start looking like one...despite the computer. LOL Hubby and I still need to get a mattress for the crib and a carseat. Will probably get one this month...the mattress maybe and the carseat in October. (9-6-2007)

****I took my glucose test today and I passed. My OB likes us to be under 132, I was 131! YEA! My fibroids are causing me to measure much bigger than I am. I'm measuring 33 weeks right now and I'm only 27. That explains why the heartburn is kicking me in the butt daily!! However, my OB said other than that, me and baby are looking and doing great! I only get to see her one more time before she delivers. She has a C-section scheduled the second week of October. She said she'll be back before I deliver though and I'm happy about that. I like her A LOT! Now....if I can just get this eye thing taken care of. My eyes are acting up now and it's really annoying and makes it VERY hard to drive. I had to throw away my contacts and put my glasses back on. Hope it heals soon, it hurts! Oh yeah...I haven't gained a single pound! Still holding at 212!! YIPPEE!! (9-11-2007)

****I have officially labeled my baby....MY LITTLE KICKBOXER! He's been going for 3 straight days and I LOVE IT! Sometimes he rolls across my stomach and that's such an AWESOME feeling! Hubby felt him kick for the first time today...and several times. It was starting to make me sad how the baby would stop everytime I would put his hand on my belly, but today, he put a show on for daddy! YEA!!! (9-13-2007)

****So I'm sick! And I HATE it!! I've been drinking OJ like crazy and I took two Tylenol about an hour ago and it seems to be helping, so I'm gonna just go lie down now. Hubby bought me some pain reliever last night, but I hesitated on taking it til I called my OB. The nurse said all was fine and when I went to take it, I couldn't find it!!! I left it in the condo hubby and I were staying in Sunday night. Well at least I know where it is and when we go back tomorrow night, it'll be there if I need it! We were blessed with a friend's condo for a week...and I'm sick!! NOW HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN??!! I had "other" plans..but we'll see how I feel in a couple of days. LOL Baby is fine however and was just rolling all over my tummy last night and this morning. It made me feel good to know that even though mommy feels lousy, he's okay. So off I go to lie down now. I have an OB appt. tomorrow. (Tuesday) I'll update again then. (9-24-2007)

****I GOT APPROVED FOR MEDICAID!!! WHOOPPEE!!! That also means automatic approval for WIC. What a blessing this is going to be for hubby and I. Financially we're doing okay, but when little one gets here, my income is gone for 2 months. That's nearly $2500!! (excuse me while I climb back into my chair...that made me fall out typing that) So I've got insurance through Ruby's and now Medicaid should cover the rest I'm told. I'm going to go Tuesday and get my WIC started and possibly see if I can maybe do food stamps too. WOW! I'm so excited about all of this. G-d is good....ALL THE TIME!!! (9-28-2007)

****Well I got the info back minus one entry I believe. I remember having something on here about the little chubbers I'm carrying...4lbs as of 10-2-07!! YIKES! I can't wait though! Thanks to the ladies who said to google the name and then use the cache link!! I decided to hang up and put away some of the baby things I've gotten and I can't believe I'm going to have someone who can wear them in 2 months! Go look at my photo page! (10-5-2007)

****I got my WIC checks today! YIPEE! How exciting! I was worried about one of the items they give on the check not being approved and it was! So now my next step is food stamps. I'll go work on that either tomorrow after work or next Tuesday. I finally gained some weight...5 pounds as a matter of fact, but I was wearing jeans instead of my leggings like I normally do. Can't complain as I'm still smaller than I was before I got pregnant. OB told me everything looks well. So only 9 more weeks to go and my shower is just in two weeks. I hope it goes well. I know ladies like to wait til the last minute to use the registry, but a lot of my Target stuff is an online buy only and I feel I may have to purchase those things afterwards, but we'll see. Little one is still VERY active and I'm glad. Moves all times of the day now and actually quiets down at night so mommy can sleep. Boy, I hope he remembers that when he gets here in Dec. LOL (10-9-2007)

****Wow...my shower is tomorrow and only one person has shopped from my registry. I'm really disappointed. So what do we do them for? The other things purchased I've already received and they were blessings, but I was so hoping for more...like the tub, a few outfits, the diaper pail..oh well. Hope I'm blessed. (10-20-2007)

****I just opened up everything from my shower and those gifts given to me earlier! WOW! I cannot believe how many outfits I got! So many blankets and washcloths and hooded towels too! My friend give me her crib bedding from her first and I LOVE it. Won't need it for a few months because I've got a 4 in 1 bassinet. Gonna put that together over the next few days! I didn't even expect that! I was purely surprised. I was telling hubby we HAVE to have the crib mattress by my 35th week, because little one had no place else to sleep...and now look! YIPPEE!! My stroller/carseat combo is amazing too! I just cannot believe in a month and a half I'm going to have someone here to use and wear all this cool stuff! I do know this, I won't do a registry again if hubby and I have another...it is a waste. I did get things off of it, but hardly anyone actually told the cashier. Surprisingly, I didn't get a lot of diapers and wipes, but I'll be heading to Target for those because they sent me some coupons. That's also where I'll be picking the tub up from. Got a coupon for that too. Now all I have to do is wash everything. I'll work on that Sunday maybe even Friday. I was told to forget the Dreft and to just by All Free & Clear. So I'll be doing that Thursday night when I shop for synagogue cooking. HOW EXCITING! I've got the baby's coming home outfit all picked out and now I just need to get the bag packed. Almost there! (10-24-2007)

****I just spent the first of my four gift cards! It was one from K-Mart. And there's still $1.51 left on it! I got 4 bibs, 3 hats, 2 pairs of socks, diaper sacks and changing table cloths all for $24 and some change! I washed all the clothing items and they are hanging to dry right now. Didn't want to go to the laundry mat for those few items to just dry. I got a lot of thank you cards done last night and only have about 5 more to do. I wanted to get the ones in the mail first and now I'll work on the ones for the girls who got me something at work. Hubby is working on getting the bassinet together right now. YEAH! We can delay the crib mattress for a bit since we have that now. We'll probably get it after little one arrives or when I return to work after his/her birth. I'm not sure if I'll even be able to take two months leave. It's going to be tight. One month might be all I can do, but there are some mothers who don't even get that. My income is a major source in the household as well as hubby's. It'll be nice having a little one before the tax season is over. That extra $1500 will DEFINITELY come in handy!!! (10-28-2007)

****I was blessed again today! Two of my bosses and one of my co-workers purchased me a Days of Hunny Activity Center!!! IT IS INCREDIBLE!!! I was totally shocked. I just stood there speechless when my boss walked in with it! So hubby says that Moshe will have to have our room now because there's no room in his for another thing and that includes him! LOL Picture of it in the photo album. (10-29-2007)

****What an interesting day yesterday! (MONDAY) I walked out on my job for the first time ever! I didn't quit, but I had to leave because it was just too much for me. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and it's too late in my pregnancy for me to have anything upsetting me that much. Along with Ruby's pissing me off, I lost a contact too. Driving 15 minutes to replace it...NOT FUN! My head and right eye were killing me! I had a girls' night planned for that evening and it was a good thing I did, because I needed it with what had happened that afternoon. 3 girls came over to my house and I fixed them chili cheese nachos and pizza. We had Jones Sodas to drink and cheesecake for dessert! The 3 of them said everything was WONDERFUL!!! I do enjoy cooking for others though. We then went to see Denzel's new movie AMERICAN GANGSTER. WOW!! INCREDIBLE!!! Violent and graphic, but so well done by Denzel and Russell Crowe. I didn't get home til nearly 2am because we went to the 10:30 showing of the movie, but it was so much fun. Hubby seemed very glad that I finally invited some friends over. In the two years we've lived here, I NEVER have. I just don't have a lot of friends, but those three last night are ones I can share ANYTHING with and would do ANYTHING for! So that was my last girls' night before little one arrives. I'll have more I'm sure when he/she gets here, but not for awhile at least. I forgot how loud movies are! Haven't been to one since Transformers back in July and I was only about 19 weeks preggo then! I think my baby is going to come out holding his ears after last night poor little thing! LOL I was being silly trying to cover them...wherever they were with my sweater. LOL

So I have an OB appt. today and I'm very happy about it. My OB has been on maternity leave for a month and she's back this week. I'm glad, coz I really missed her. I'm going to share all my pains with her physically and emotionally. She gives wonderful advice and I really can't wait to see her.

UPDATE~~~~I'M 1CM DIALATED AND 50% EFFACED!! My OB is VERY pleased with my progress. The fibroids could have poised some problems, but have not. She said she could feel the baby's head today! I was just giddy after she told me that. So my progress at 35 weeks is very good. She tells me little one is probably just a little over 5lbs now. YIPPEE!!
(11-6-2007)

****I received something else from my Target registry today. It was quite a surprise. A friend got me the Turtle Time Tub I wanted. It was a much needed blessing after the past couple of days I've had. I went to check the registry and saw that some bibs, a Classic Pooh Rug, and Classic Pooh Nightlight were also purchased for me! WOW! I feel blessed again...I need it.
Prayers and blessings and trust in Hashem that all works out for the best tomorrow on my work situation. I was told by someone in charge that in his opinion, I had nothing to worry about. So we'll see. I'm untucking my tail and going to fight for my family! BARUCH HASHEM! BARUCH HASHEM! BARUCH HASHEM! (11-08-07)

****Well, someone purchased the mattress that hubby and I wanted. I AM FLOORED! I really wasn't expecting that! I ONLY had it on my registry for me because it was an online purchase only and I didn't want to forget which one it was. WE ARE SO BLESSED!! How amazing this all is to me. Work went VERY well today. No questions or anything like it. Most thought I had gone on maternity leave already. I had AWESOME tips today too. My first table left me $30!!! YIPPEE! My regulars left me $12 on $23. So nearly $50 from two tables was a BIG help with the last five days off. I made about $75. First time I've made that much on a Sunday lunch in awhile. The District Manager and I had a nice talk today and he really does care about me. Wants to make sure I'm not overdoing it. He told me to go ahead and get my FMLA paperwork in now so I don't lapse with my insurance. Corporate will terminate me from the system if I haven't clocked in in two weeks. So Donnie says get the paperwork in now and when I call about being in labor or having the baby, they can make it active. I will get on that Tuesday! Nice day today at work. My body was EXTREMELY sore and I had a harder time than usual, but I think I'll be fine once I go down to one day a week. (11-11-2007)

****I had an OB appointment today and I'm now 2CM dilated! WHOPPEE!! Might have my little butterball after having butterball! LOL My Pooh nightlight and rug along with the bibs arrived today and it was so exciting opening the box knowing what they were. I'm washing the bibs now. I've got the rug down on the floor and the nightlight ready to be plugged in when little one arrives. It doesn't shut off from the window light in the nursery only when I turn on the lights, so I'll wait and use it when little one gets here. (11-13-2007)

****WHAT A WONDERFUL WEEK! MY CRIB MATTRESS JUST ARRIVED!! I had to take the crib apart to make some adjustments and it was actually easier for me to get the mattress in with it apart, but I did it. I'll take some before and after pics of my work. I'm on my way to walmart with a giftcard to pick up the mattress pad! And then I can put in the bedding! WHOOP!! (11-14-2007)

****Had a great Turkey day right til the end. Hubby got REAL upset when I told him to shut up about the way he was acting. We were watching an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent and I thought he was just "overdoing it" on a scene we had just saw. I told him to shut up and knock it off. He got up and said, "You stay and I'll leave, forgive me for having a "f'ing" opinion!" I was like whoa....I thought my hormones were bad. I walked through the living room about five minutes ago to go outside to the storage shed and he left. He went back into his room and left the TV on. I'm really confused. So....I'm leaving him alone and probably won't talk to him tomorrow until he speaks to me. Yes I told him to shut up and I usually don't, but it really was getting on my nerves because his voice was getting louder and louder and he wouldn't stop. I'm sorry he has a hard time with the way black men are portrayed on television....but good grief Charlie Brown....CHILL! Anyway, I'm fine! Except when I fell into the recliner trying to move the damn cat out of my way! I really, really, hate my cat right now. I'm pretty tired of it. Anyway....I'm off to bed now. It's 12:30 in morning.

Oh yea....at my OB appointment on the 20th I hadn't changed any. And the OB filling in for mine thought 2CM was pretty generous. Oh well. Hopefully, that full moon will do something on Saturday! I just want my little one here now! I'm getting anxious, irritated, and lonely if that makes any sense. I just want to hold my baby!!!!!!(11-23-2007)

****I'M BEING INDUCED ON TUESDAY DECEMBER 4TH! My OB is GREAT! I told her about everything going on with me, how sad I get, how much I hurt, and all the junk going on at work as she looked right at me and said do you want to have this baby on Tuesday? I was like, I want him/her now, but YES!! I've heard horror stories about pitocin, but she also tells me an epidural is an immediate thing afterwards. And come to find out another reason she's going to induce is because my ORIGINAL due date was 11/30 which would put me at 40 tomorrow. Another U/S showed me at Dec 6th, but she kept the 30th in her computer, so on Tuesday by her records I would be 40 and 5 days and she NEVER lets her patients reach 41! She also told me that I'm a tight 3 but for her that's also good enough reason to induce. I'll take it! I would love spontaneous labor and I know it could still happen, but if not, I go at 5am on Tuesday to have my little one! WOW! I feel about 1000 times better now! (11-29-2007)

****Well, tomorrow is it! I will have a baby by this time next week AND he or she will have been born on Chanukah! HOW EXCITING!! I'm going to take care of some last minute things and hope that I have a speedy recovery. My maternity leave paperwork was approved and I'm all set in that area. My benefits are caught up as of right now and I may only have to pay about three weeks out of my own pocket. I can handle that. Just found out Cigna sent out a check for our prescription reimbursements that should arrive in a couple of days. They also goofed and missed the big prescription, but I was told that is being fixed and they will send another check out for the difference. Hope to receive that next week. That would be just about $100 and it will come in handy. I'm getting the final things ready for the baby. Gotta get some batteries for the bassinet mobile as I believe the ones I have in don't work because I see the power light on when I plug it in. I just put the mobile together and put it on the crib. I'm going to Walmart to pick up some burp cloths and another package of size 1 diapers. I seriously doubt this child will be anywhere close to 10 pounds when born. And even if he or she is, I'm sure I will go through two packages of diapers pretty quickly. So this is it! My next update will be my birth story! (12-3-2007)

****Moshe is a week old today! WOW! We're working on the breastfeeding and we're getting there. Still hard, still hurts a little, but the lactation consultant called me today and gave some great advice. He's peeing through his diapers so it looks like hubby and I will have to experiment til we find the right ones. Glad I kept the receipt on the last package I bought. I'll continue to try and use the others as I hate for them to go to waste. But I do have a friend having a baby in Feb and maybe I can pass them on to her and her hubby if Moshe doesn't use them. I still can't believe I have a baby...so precious and healthy. His circumcision is tomorrow (WEDNESDAY) and he has his first doctor's visit on Thursday. On Friday he has to come with me to the WIC office so they can verify he's really there (LOL) and to issue me my new checks. It'll be the first time since mommy has gotten out of the house since we came home last Thursday and it'll be nice! (12-11-2007)

****I can't believe I forgot to update last week. Mo was circumcised on Wed the 12th and had his first doctor's appointment on Thur. the 13th. He did well for the circumcision considering he had no anesthesia. It took about 4 days for it to heal, but he's doing VERY well now. At his doctor's appt. they tried to test him for hearing, but they say his ears might be a little too small and he might have too much wax in them. Mommy knows he can hear because I've seen him startle when I drop something or when I laugh. We go back in Jan for them to test him again. He's back up to his birth weight and is doing well on breastfeeding. I'll have to get him some bottles soon and I hope he takes to them okay. I'll try bottle feeding him by the end of December so it will be easy for my babysitter to feed him. We go out in public for the first time today without daddy. And I don't mean doctor's offices. I mean the grocery store and the library. I hate taking him in at only 2 weeks, but I have to so I can get the right formula approved by WIC. The library shouldn't be too bad and we won't stay long. My right boobie hurts! I'm gonna have to wake him up to feed him soon! LOL (12-20-2007)

****Well here it is the New Year and I've got a 4 week old son. We've been out in public over the last week and he's doing very well. I feel so awkward sometimes when hubby isn't with me getting him in and out of the car. I'm so cautious in how I walk as I don't want to fall with my baby. I stopped by the ped's office today to get them to sign my WIC papers and they did a hearing test on Mo again...he failed. Oh he can hear, I know this by how he reacts to loud sounds, but officially they have to have it on paper. She said they would just try again on his 2 month check-up. I went to Ruby's Tuesday to get myself back on schedule and everyone just went nuts over my son! It was so cool! I go back to work on the 9th and I hope I do okay. I've NEVER been away from him except for about an hour at a time when I would run to the store and hubby would watch him. Now it's gonna be more like 5 hours and I hope I do okay. I guess I should start pumping twice a day since I'm not getting that much milk. I had the hardest time tonight getting two ounces from the right breast...took me nearly 30 minutes to get it. I guess I should pump once in the afternoon and once in the evening. That way, I can take two things of breast milk to the sitter and we can save the formula for when daddy feeds him in those early morning hours. I just don't get it. Tuesday night I got nearly 3 ounces of milk from the left breast in less than 15 minutes. I don't know. Mo has cradle cap, but one of the nurse at his doctor's office told me how to handle it. Olive Oil in the head for one hour and then bathe and shampoo him. Isn't that weird....olive oil??!! So anyway, it's 10:36 and I should be in bed, but I'm not sleepy. Mo is sleep and will probably be up at 3am for a feeding. I won't go to bed any later than 11, so I should be okay. I LOVE that little boy and I am SO THANKFUL to G-d for bringing him into our lives! (1-2-2008)

****Back to work I go today. I'm excited because the money will be helpful, but I'm nervous. I haven't been away from Mo for more than an hour at a time. I hope I do okay. I think waiting tables will be the blessing for me. I should be too busy to concentrate on him too much. I'll have to try and nurse him around 2 or 2:30 maybe even 3 when I get to the sitter's house. My boobs are gonna be heavy when I get off from work and I'll either have to pump or hope he's awake and nurse him when I get home. I don't feel comfortable with Charles picking him up in the Jetta because it needs some work, so we're gonna do a car switch. I haven't driven the Jetta in over a year, but hey...it's a car....it works..and our son is just better provided for in the Cobalt. Mo is 5 weeks old...can you believe it??!! What an amazing little boy! (1-9-2008)

****Came home tonight and hubby was VERY upset. Mo had been fussy since 5:30 this afternoon. It was 9:15 when I walked in the door. I got pretty upset because he nailed me coming in asking what did I eat very rudely. I breastfeed of course, so something I ate could have upset him. After about 20 minutes, I took Mo when my hubby put him down. I nursed him for all of about 15 minutes and held him. Don't you know he calmed right down and fell asleep. I guess he just missed mommy today. Isn't that awesome??!! I hope that doesn't happen too much though, that can become a little overwhelming on hubby. He's been asleep since about 9:45 and it's 11:42 now. I'll sleep in a little bit. As soon as I get good and comfortable he'll probably wake right up again. LOL I'm okay with that though. I'm just glad he's okay, daddy really scared me. (1-17-2008)

****So today was a VERY special day! We went to a different synagogue for services. We were invited by some Israelis to come out so they could bring out their Torah. Well, whenever the TORAH comes out it is processed around the room. We women sit opposite the men, but we still have the opportunity to touch it. Well the second time it came around not only did I touch it, but Mo did too! I was SO excited about that. My son got to touch the TORAH at 7 weeks!! I can't wait to tell him about that when he gets older. I hope he understands the life mommy and daddy have chosen to live. I'm thinking it may be a little easier for him since he was born into it instead of having to change horses in mid stream you know. I'll just ask Hashem for guidance. WHAT AN AWESOME DAY!!! Oh yea...I also bought Mo another Dr. Seuss book. It's called Put Me in the Zoo! I LOVED THAT ONE WHEN I WAS YOUNGER! Can't wait to read it to him when he's old enough to understand. I'll read it to him now, but it will be much fun when he's older. (1-26-08)

****So tomorrow Mo goes for his two month shots. I hope I do okay. I hear that's pretty rough for some mommies. I worked a double this past Sunday and I won't do that again til he is MUCH older. I was MISERABLE by six o'clock! The money was good but wasn't worth it in the end. And with two servers not wanting to take tables and a manager who purposely sat me and then cut me late...dammit! I just kept my mouth shut though. I've come too far to blow it now. Mo is getting so big but is such a good baby! The cradle cap he has is almost gone. A couple more applications should do it. He got us nearly $3000 back in a refund..NICE! Charles and I also made about $3000 more last year which is probably why we didn't get a little more than I expected. Last year we got back $2300...so Mo only brought us in about $700 more. Don't care though...we are blessed either way! I LOVE THAT LITTLE BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (2-5-2008)

****I cannot believe that Mo is already 2 1/2 months old! He's such a good baby! He gets the hiccups pretty bad sometimes and we give him the chamomile tea that his pediatric nurse told us about. It helps, but he he'll poop like crazy sometimes afterwards...I think it's the sugar. LOL I need to start pumping more. I only got about 2 1/2 oz the first time I pumped last night. The second time I got nearly 3 1/2. I hear the more you pump and the more you nurse, the more you produce. I also switched Mo's formula to Similac Gentle...for fussiness and gas. It seems to be working. WIC still provides me the Enfamil. I will go back to that after we finish off the Similac to see if he gets fussy again. He's 24 inches long and a little over 12 pounds now. And I can feel that 12 pounds when I carry his carrier around for a bit too! LOL It's awesome being a mommy! Oh...I opened Mo's savings account yesterday with ING! I can't wait for it to grow. When he's 18 I want him to have money that he can pull from whenever he is ready. I deposited his first $11 in it. Someone gave me 3 two dollar bills when I was about six months pregnant and I saved them for Mo. I was also tipped with five of the new $1 coins a couple weeks ago and I gave those to him too. So I put that money into our account and then transferred it to Mo's! (2-12-2008)

****Mo and I had our first mommy and son "real" date! We went to the outlet mall today and he did great! Slept the WHOLE time! We were there for nearly 3 hours. Daddy's coming with us on Sunday after I get off of work. They close at six, so I need to make sure to get off the floor as soon as I can so we can have a couple hours there too. Today was beautiful. It was 66 degrees and SO comfortable. I had to take off Mo's pants on the way home, he was VERY warm. AND we only spent $28...don't want to blow through the refund too quickly. I really look forward to our mommy and son days. That's usually on Mondays since it's the only day I have off where we can do something all day. Fridays I prepare for shabbat and on shabbat we spend the majority of that in synagogue, so I VALUE our Mondays together! Looking forward to this Sunday, I think it will be very nice. (2-18-2008)

****So I was REALLY disappointed with our family outing today. I got my husband there, took him to the shoe store and he did NOTHING! I told him to pick a pair of shoes and if he didn't see anything he liked we could go to another store, he told me to please not force him into getting shoes. I said forget it...let's just go!!! He said he came to spend time with me an Mo...okay fine, but whatever...he has one pair of work shoes! He doesn't understand what this does to me when he treats himself this way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't really talked to him for the last several hours. I'm really sad and upset. So I spent the money on my son! I spent $25 in the Carter store and $72 at Barnes & Noble!! I'm going to teach Mo to NOT do what his daddy does when it comes to buying for himself. My son is going to know that he needs to provide for himself so when he becomes a father he can provide for his son or daughter. It's really sad Charles treats himself this way. He has a eye appointment on the 4th of March. How much you wanna bet he doesn't make it??!! I'm through...I'm not gonna fight with him anymore. He'll have to get the lesson like my momma used to say...if he can't listen, he sure can feel. Hard to provide for your family when you can't see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hard to provide for your family when you don't have shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hard to provide for your family when you don't give a DAMN about yourself!!!!!!!!! (2-24-2008)

****I can't believe that Mo is 3 months old already! Where does the time go??!! He can sit up for a short bit now by himself. He rolls to his left side and just slides right out of his boppy whenever he wants! LOL We had another family day on the first Sunday of this month and it was MUCH better than the last! Charles purchased himself TWO pairs of shoes the Saturday before! How bout that? Now....if I can just get him to that eye exam! LOL I just finished doing Tae Bo....wow! Not as hard as I remember, but I still have a LONG way to go! Hard to believe that is was just this time last year where I had my first period after going off the pill. It was on March the first. And I do believe that we conceived Mo sometime around the 12th or 13th of the month. So that's in a day or two...WOW! I went to drive the train at the zoo just a week later and as I now think back I was pregnant then. On April the 1st...APRIL FOOL'S DAY...I peed on the stick and POW! THERE WAS MO!! SO happy he is here now! He is such an angel...even if he is fussy! So I just discovered something else about my son. He cries sometimes to fight his sleep in the daytime. When I pick him up to hold him, it makes him happy and keeps him satisfied til I put him down again. So he'll cry again and I try to feed him, but no go. So today, I put him in his crib and sat in the nursery with him and played on the computer. He cried for a couple of minutes and BAMM...out he went! He's still sleep too! Nearly an hour! I'll have to wake him around 1:30 to get ready to go. I'm heading to work super early today as I have something special for one of the girls who's leaving. I hope she likes it. I'm gonna dress Mo in a cute outfit just for her! (3-11-2008)

****It was a year ago yesterday (April 1st) when I tested positive with Mo! And now here he is in my lap almost 4 months old!! Where does the time go??!! He's just a talking or more so babbling now! I LOVE the sounds he makes! He smiles ALL the time and his mood will change A LOT when daddy comes home if he's been fussy! It's cool to see that daddy can calm him down. He's watching my fingers right now on the keyboard...how cool! He is SO observant for his age! He LOVES books. When I open one, he starts to beat the pages...I think he REALLY likes the pictures! He really enjoys his touch and feel books. I don't so much read to him as I tell him what the pictures are and such. Some books I read, like the Dr. Seuss ones or the touch and feels, but most of them I just point out cool things in the pictures. He's been sick for about a week, but he's getting better daily. He's not coughing or sneezing as much. Humidifier seems to have worked as well as the saline drops. He really enjoys his tummy time now too. I do it in his crib now and it's so awesome to see his little feet in the air and head all held high! WHAT A SPECIAL LITTLE BOY! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!!! (4-2-2008)

****So I woke up at about 3:45 this morning because I could hear Mo stirring. I get up to get him and he is on his tummy!!! I was so excited. He got there all by himself but was frustrated because he couldn't roll back over, not a lot of room in the bassinet. So I nursed him and put him back to bed. Again, he rolled to his tummy. I moved him to the crib and watched him for a bit. On his tummy, on his side, on his tummy, on his side. This little one was wide awake at 4:15 in the morning! So I woke up hubby and asked for his help. I gave Mo a bottle this time and he took a little but not much. Back in the crib he went and strangely enough he ended up on his tummy again but rolled back to his back and after being fussy for about 20 minutes or so he fell asleep. He was up again at 8:00AM! So needless to say, mommy is a tad tired. Tonight, I'm going down when he does. I've got A LOT to do tomorrow and can't afford to be tired. He's napping now and earlier this morning I replaced the bumper pad in the crib. He's got this thing about getting at funny angles and getting his little feet in between the railing and I don't want them to get stuck. I pulled the bumper down in the mattress tightly and then tied them off at the different places, so all should be good. Hubby and I don't want Mo falling asleep on his tummy only because he hasn't quite mastered turning his head to the side. I suppose since he knows how to hold his head up he'll be okay, but we still worry. I was SO excited though to see our little man roll to his tummy!! He's growing up so fast! (4-10-2008)

****We have Mo on solid food now. He got his first solids back on April the 3rd, that was rice cereal. I decided since it's Passover and he can't have that I wanted to keep some type of solid in his diet, so I introduced bananas to him on April the 20th. He took to them very well, AND they really seem to help him sleep. So when he can have rice cereal again, I will mix the bananas in with it after I make sure his little body does okay with it. He rolls over now very well and when I go to get him for a feeding or in the morning when he wakes, he's on his tummy. I don't so much worry about his little head being buried face down, he's learned how to turn it to the side now. I'm so excited about the bananas. I don't buy the jarred ones either, I just get the real thing and mash them myself. I'm thinking of introducing peas next. I'M SO EXCITED! I plan on making A LOT of Mo's food myself, but when time is short, I'll buy the jarred stuff. It won't hurt every now and then. I'm sticking to Earth's Best though, they are organic and their products seem much better than Gerber...who isn't very kosher friendly. I won't be using ANY of their stuff unless I absolutely have to as Mo gets older. It's the 2nd day of Passover and I'm glad to be home. The evenings we spent at our friend's home really through off Mo's sleeping habits. I was SO tired this morning! He's asleep now (8:42PM), he fell asleep about 20 minutes ago or so. Hopefully he'll sleep through the night for mommy or at least til about 5 or 6AM. Mommy can only hope! LOL (4-21-2008)

****Gave Mo applesauce today and he really seemed to like it. I gave him the special kind I bought for Passover and the ingredients are just water, apples, and absorbic acid...all are fine. I'm still gonna make my own though. Hubby and I are going to go to Walmart tomorrow to pick up a blender and some fresh apples to experiment. Hope he likes mine as well as the already made. I have an area rug down in the living room now so Mo and I spend a lot more time on the floor. He seems to enjoy it and was rolling over like crazy Friday afternoon! (4-26-2008)

****We had sweet potatoes today and someone got mad at me when I didn't shovel it in fast enough! LOL I'm glad he likes them. Mommy sure doesn't. LOL So glad he's eating solid food now. Just not sure when I'm going to stop breastfeeding. Would love to do it awhile longer, but he doesn't stay focused on it long at all anymore. He's sleeping through the night now, so I don't have the opportunity for those 1am or 3am feedings in which he'll do about 15 minutes on whatever breast he's on. I am still trying to pump, but only get about 2 oz from both breasts. :o( The medication helped my OB prescribed, but I don't know. I trashed the Fenugreek. My body didn't do well with it. It was causing me to throw up in the early morning hours. I know it's only an herb, but still. So anyway, I suppose peas will be sometime next week. Hope he does well with those. I hear some babies don't do too well with the green veggies at first. We'll see. Gotta get off to work now! (5-01-2008)

****So I fed Mo sweet peas today. I don't think he likes them. He did a gag reflex a few times while I was feeding him. I mixed up some apples and bananas to help out with it and he ate it, but made funny faces when I gave him the peas. I hope he does okay with them as in no allergic reaction then that way maybe I can mix them with sweet potatoes and he'll eat them. I'll see how his little body does tonight and tomorrow. (5-06-08)

****We gave Mo squash on Saturday and he did very well with it. I'm going to make carrots next week and see how he does with that. I threw the store bought away as he cried frantically after eating those. How interesting. He had the store bought carrots on Thursday the 15th. All my pictures are messed up and I'm pretty irritated about that. I deleted the ones of Mo and will just add new ones. Something is wrong with Shutterfly. I deleted one of my pregnancy photos too, but I can replace it whenever Shutterfly works again. How annoying!!!!!!(5-18-2008)

****Mo had pears on the 22nd....he liked them! That was also our 17th wedding anniversary! We're gonna do some cool stuff on Sunday. Our kosher meat arrived today...I AM SO HAPPY! Mo is growing so fast and just babbles like he's in charge! LOL (5-23-2008)

****Well, Mo had carrots today and all is well. YEA!!!! I suppose his little body just didn't do well with the store bought stuff. Peaches is next week and then I'm thinking green beans and papaya maybe. So much fun! Mo is really scooting himself and he's learned to put his knees underneath himself and then gives himself a good push. Wait til he figures out he can do that more than once! LOL He's really noticing Disney now (Jazzy died last Friday). Whenever Disney moves, Mo just stares at him. He's still not too sure about him, but I think he's getting there. (5-30-2008)

****Today was peaches day...HE LOVED THEM! He's going to be crawling soon. He knows how to put his knees under himself and rock back and forth. When he figures how to get those arms going too...oh oh!!! LOL Cannot believe he's 6 months old today! (6-4-2008)

****Mo had beans yesterday (MONDAY the 9th) and he did okay with them. Spit them out a lot, but when I mixed them with another veggie or a fruit he did okay. We've been saying the word "no" to him a lot lately. He should know that one real soon! LOL Our tone of voice changes and that's really what gets his attention more than anything. All in all, he's a GREAT boy and we are SO blessed to have him! (6-10-2008)

****My freezer is FULL of food for Mo! :o) He had apricots on Monday(the 16th) and he really likes them. I'm making zucchini right now and hope it goes over well. He doesn't do too good with the green veggies. I think I'll introduce Mango next. I spent HOURS in the kitchen on Sunday making him food, but I really enjoyed it. I made peaches, apricots, and pears. I've got to get some more apples going soon too. (6-20-2008)

****Mo had Mangos on Wed or Thur I believe and he likes them. I didn't cook them as they say it's one of the few fruits baby can tolerate uncooked. Mo is just progressing so nicely. Scooting all over the place, sitting up on his knees, very aware of everything! He rolled off the bed Thursday and landed on his hands and knees...WHAT A BIG BOY! Takes after his daddy in that area. Not too sure what other veggie to do right now as most others I have to wait to introduce in his later months, so I suppose I'll do just that. Tree fell on the house yesterday (the 29th) and thank goodness no one was home! What a week it was last week and this one didn't start off too well. I did make $100 at work Sunday off of 4 tables! Charles' birthday is Tuesday (tomorrow) and Mo got him some really cool stuff! LOL (6-30-2008)

****It's been awhile since I've been here, and even longer since I've updated, but all is well. Mo is crawling and standing now. I've pureed him 3 new foods, cauliflower, blueberries, and chicken. He'll get all of those over the next couple of weeks. He's over 20 pounds now and 30 inches long. Must go now...he's fussy...time for second nap! (8-01-2008)

****Mo gets chicken today and I hope he does okay with it. He did well with the blueberries I gave him on the 2nd. Cauliflower will be next week. I'm not well, having issues with my faith and it bugs me. No one to talk to really and I'm scared...oh well...my little man is WONDERFUL and in the end that's all that really matters to me...his health and well being.

MO HATES CHICKEN! We'll try it again at nine months. First time he truly gagged and then proceeded to spit the food out. LOL(8-05-2008)

****I updated my profile and it's not here!!!! HUH??!! Anyway, Mo is 9 months old now and is such a GOOD baby! He'll be walking before I know it and his babble will soon become different words. Sounds like he said mom the other day and I just grinned when I heard it. He says da-da all the time and whenever hubby is around, I point to him when Mo says it. He's over 20 pounds now and well over 30 inches. He has his 9 month visit next Monday and I can get the numbers then. I'll be looking forward to introducing new foods to him at 10 months and won't have to puree much longer when the next set of teeth come in. He had eggs on Sunday and liked them a lot. I mashed up an egg white from a boiled egg and put it in his peas...and he ate them like he never had before! YEA! We'll try again today and see how he does. He LOVES yogurt too and I'm really excited about that. Gotta get him some more by the way. Hoping to have another in 2 years and hoping to be in a community where our lifestyle will be easier. Would love to give Mo a baby sister! That would be so neat!!!! (9-08-2008)

WE are GREAT!!! Mo is getting so big and hansome. Amira is learning new things everyday. She can now roll over (both ways) and she has gotten pretty good at holding her head up and looking around when we put her on her tummy. She is starting to discover her feet so she stares at them intently. And what a 'talker' She has learned to squeal so it has become an active part of her communication with us. I have not started her on any foods yet she is still only getting breastmilk but she is satisfied so I will wait. I plan to make most of her foods...I will have to prepare a weeks worth on my days off so that way I don't have to worry about it during the hectic work week. What was Mo's first food? I'm thinking rice cereal when she does start.

Stay Well

Thank You! So much for your comment on my blog! I truly do feel that God was telling me something! I just keep telling myself that I need to keep the faith.
Your baby boy is beautiful! I wish you the best! ~God Bless~

surban79 - Tuesday, 10 June
Oh yea, do you live by the water? Love the picture of your husband by the water with Mo, I want to take Eva to the beach!

surban79 - Tuesday, 10 June
Oh my goodness the pictures with mo in the hat....soooo cute! Eva is getting the hang of eating. She hates sweet potatoes but loves peas! I have not tries fruit yet. Will see, I wanted to get the ones I thought would be harder out of the way first. I didn't want her to love the fruit and not want the vegies!! Eva was done with her bassinet at about 3 months and I was upset to especially since it is my last baby going in it. It was my bassinet when I was a baby and the rest of my family used it to. We have had like 20 babies use it and when they are done we put there name and birth date in it. I think Eva was the last cause it is getting to old. My brother used it first and he is 31 so its quite old.

So eva has been getting up on her hands and knees for about 2 weeks and rocking back and forth. She leaps forward with pushing her toes. She is REALLY close to crawling, I say another week or two and she will have it. So early, my 3 other kids didn't start till 7 months, I hope this doesn't mean she is going to grow up to fast!

I am not sure what to get the hubby for Fathers Day yet. Since Mothers Day was the same day as my birthday I am not really even sure how much to spend, cause I don't know what he did. Not that it has to be equal, but I would like to have an idea, you know.
So are you still nursing? Eva is finally past the every 3 hours and I am able to get out a little. She makes it about 4 1/2 to 5 hours. I am going to miss that when she is done. OK well I am rambling on, talk to you soon. Sorry about the check stuff, that sucks I did that like 2 months ago. I sent out 3 checks and 2 should have been fine but the bank cleared the larger one first and then the 2 smaller ones so they all bounced. I hate that. We are doing good now though. My husband is wooking over time and Saturdays which is all over time, plus he just sold 2 houses so we got some bonus checks. Thanks goodness we needed it. We took the kids to an indoor water park this weekend and spent WAY to much money. But we got to live life and I want my kids to be happy so we do what we gotta do! It was fun! Alright talk to you soon!

Thanks so much! I'm a 1st time mom & couldn't be happier about my little Maisie. Being a mom is so amazing. I never knew I could have so much love for another little being. She' s such a blessing!
How are things going for you? Your little guy is a doll too. I hope you're doing well!

Thanks for the kick boxing comment. Perhaps he is doing a bit of martial arts after all. Today he is having a good sleep with a bit of movement so not so much action. take care.

Hey, I am still pregnant, and very much looking forward to giving birth and meeting my daughter Elsa. I did loose my mucus plug on Friday, and since then I have felt surges and sensations in my pelvic area, but nothing as far as going into labor.

I am looking forward to sharing my birth pictures and story when I have my girl. I love the pictures of Moshe that are on your page. He is so prescious.

munkobaby - Tuesday, 10 June
thank you! SO, how are things going? I am sure you are being kept as busy as I am. I can have some crazy days, but it's fun. xoj

teresa08 - Tuesday, 10 June
Thank you, so is yours. They grow so fast , don't they. I'm doing good even though I can't seem to get him on any kind of schedule which is driving me crazy. I'm breastfeeding and supplementing with formula because I don't think I produce enough milk to feed him on my own. He is such a joy. His smile just melts me. Any helpful hints you can give me? Take care

Thanks for your comment. I can only imagine...... what it will be like........... What an adventure!

Cute baby boy you have. I see you have been married forever before having kids as well.

hey thanks for your kind message. Your little boy is so cute. I love those chubby cheeks!! all the best x

Ahhh, that explains it I am so sorry for your many losses! I truly feel for you... Do you have any family left?? No wonder you understand the pain of loss, although still many don't seem to understand that grief is similar whether it is the loss of your mother or the loss of a pregnancy... People say many hurtful things not understanding the grief attached to loosing an unborn child. One comment among many would be that I should be glad I lost it at 19 weeks and not 40. It doesn't make a difference. Kathleen was still my baby and it was still a loss that hurts deep inside. I so want others who are grieving to know that their grief is valid and that they are not alone. I felt alone for a long time until I started finding friends on here and elsewhere online.

Again, thanks for your kind words and encouragement. You are truly a special woman as well!

Love,
Karin

Not a problem!
Take care as well.

roosa - Thursday, 5 June
Sorry, I just saw the DENISE AND CHARLES(JULY) on your page and was wondering... Well, I am glad you haven't! Wouldn't wish it upon anyone. I have to say that you are really kind and understanding yourself towards people who have had the experience. It is very rare that 'outsiders' seem so understanding. I admire you for that.

Love,
Karin

roosa - Thursday, 5 June
Thanks again, your words are very encouraging. I truly do want to be there for others who are travelling down the journey of loss. It is a terrible journey and we shouldn't be alone. Can I ask if you lost twins?...

Love,
Karin

thankyou for the nice comments!! hope you are all doing well!!! tammy**

margysd - Wednesday, 4 June
Hey, I am very much looking forward to giving birth. On one hand I feel very fortunate to have a full term healthy baby, but on the other hand I feel like I have been pregnant forever and really want to meet my daughter.

Yesterday, I was 39 weeks along and so far I have not felt any contractions or pelvic surges. My midwife says that everything is cool with my pregnancy, so I am looking forward to feeling something soon. I think that I remember reading on your page that you also went over your due date a little.

I am just trying to take things easy, drink lots of fluids, and light exercise. I am looking forward to sharing my birth story and birth pictures with everyone.

I cannot believe how big Mo is. I was looking at the latest pictures of you guys at the beach and he looks so happy. It must be a real joy to have him. I will also make most of my baby food for my girl.

excitedmama - Wednesday, 4 June
Thanks! I appreciate your thoughts. I see that your little guy is doing very well. I think that we were due almost the same day, but I delivered 3 weeks early. You would never know it though with how much Gabe has grown. Anyway, I'll keep everyone posted on how things go tomorrow.

Bri - Wednesday, 4 June
