I agree, who cares if its blue.. the baby wont know the differnece, Id be thankful..and hey, i HOPE I get things for differnt ages, cuz when the time comes you will be happy you have it,... so no, it wouldnt make me overly mad to be honest..

snowwhite5thbabe - Sunday, 24 Feb
Well, at least she gave you two gifts (be thankful!) and girls like cars and the color blue(my favorite). I mean, I know it's a little odd- but your daughter will still love watching it...And you will definitely need clothes for her at 18 months...
I remember for my wedding shower, I was given these really ugly striped towels, and I wanted to return them, but couldn't figure out where they had bought them, so I was stuck with them. Well, now, years later, those towels have outlasted all of the other ones we were given, and they are very comfy! So it doesn't matter if I'm drying off with a color I don't like. :)
God bless you and your daughter!

hi read your comment on leg cramps i keep getting woken up during the night with cramp i dont know what causes it but it started about a week ago and comes and goes hope this helps a bit and good luck with your pregnancy.

bellakimmie - Friday, 15 Feb
My girlfriend was getting a lot of leg cramps, and she was told to drink more milk, and that seemed to work for her.

happymommy2 - Wednesday, 13 Feb
I was told my fluid was low, but still with in normal range. Mine was at leavel 10, and 8 is the lowest it should be. I'm not sure what it causes, but I was told to drink plenty of water, and not lift anything heavy.

I am so very sorry to hear about your nephew. I cannot imagine having a baby shower or any other celebration if my nephew just died. Let alone having my sister host it. I would think that she is going to assume that it is cancelled. Maybe have a friend host one instead, or do one after the baby is born. Your family is in my prayers.

girl-from-oz - Wednesday, 6 Feb
Terrible to hear about your nephew. Blessings to u and your family.
I would h8 2b in a position such as yours. Do u think it would be good discussing this with your sister right now? She would probably not want to let u down, or maybe it would just be too much for her to think about it.
Is it possible to have a post baby baby shower instead? for instance, you can send a nice letter to all of ur invitees explaining the situation & tell them that the shower may b at a later date, or post baby. I know the latter kinda defeats the purpose, but do u really want to be celebrating when your family is mourning? I suppose it would be a nice destraction from all the hurt, but have u considered that during your shower, there may be tears, and u may remember it for all its saddness & not for what it really should.
Once baby comes along, there is a new reason to celebrate.
Its just that it might be too upsetting to think back and remember ur baby shower so close to your nephew's funeral.
Mayb you can try to have it as close to your DD as possible.
Having a baby shower is all about u and your child, & Im sure your sis is feeling terribly devistated, so now its her time to be all about her and her loss.
Good luck whatever happens. Thoughts r with u X

usagi - Wednesday, 6 Feb
So sorry to hear about your nephew. I agree with the others, the best thing to do is talk to your sister about it and see what she wants to do. It may be too painful for her to host the shower, or she might see it as theraputic. I would let her make that decision though, and let her know that you support her feelings either way. Take care.

ABCmommy - Wednesday, 6 Feb
ummm...I would with out a doubt either find someone else to host your baby shower or host it yourself. At least for now, if she decides later she can still do it then ok, but I wouldn't expect it at the moment. I'm sorry for ya'lls loose. I will keep your family in my prayers.

AmyJ - Wednesday, 6 Feb
So sorry for your loss. I would talk to your sister. She may want to delegate duties to others as she will have a lot on her plate. She may want to keep busy, though. So sorry again for your loss!

sarahnicely - Wednesday, 6 Feb
this is so sad. I'm sorry for your loss. Try talking to your sister and ask her what she'd like to do. Maybe planning on a new life will take her mind off it a little. If she feels it maybe to painful, you may need to ask someone else to help out. my prayers are with you, try not to stress for your babies sake.

Hello!! You answered my post about numbness and tingling in my hands....it turns out to be gestational carpal tunnel and is very common for some pregnant women! I just have to get one of those wrist immobilizer things!! Good luck to you!!

Hi, I posted a message on the board about being concerned about not feeling my baby for a few days. I just got back from my doctor’s and heard my baby’s heart beat on the Baby Doppler and everything is TOTALLY NORMAL. Tomorrow I will be 5 months and 1 week along, but as the weeks progress, the doc said that I will feel the movements more frequently and stronger. He also said that if I get concerned I can go into the office and use there Doppler to listen if I need reassurance.

Thanks for your support and the support of all of the other mothers on this board. It has been amazing.

ABCmommy - Sunday, 27 Jan

Hi noticed youve had a 4d scan and just wondered how it was and whether you felt it was worth having done. Im 23 weeks pregnant with twins and was considering having one done.

: )

girl-from-oz - Friday, 25 Jan
Ur lucky ur husband is turned on by the whole pregnancy thing!
I have no energy for that kind of play ;)
Ive been reading all about these impressed husbands on this website & it made me think.
My partner will probably be excited more towards the end.
Good luck with everything!
