Yes, I've been having some BH contractions. One day I had 4-6 per hour, for 6 hours straight! I finally went in to the L&D at hospital, and cervix hadn't changed. (I finally drank enough water and they stopped.)But Dr. still says if I have more than 4 in an hour, go to hospital...Course, I'm on my fifth baby, and my daughter came really fast last time!

Veronica is a beautiful name. It sounds important, sophisticated, and sexy.

cheers for ur advice.
I may hate the concept of work after baby is born! lets hope I do anyway!

girl-from-oz - Friday, 7 Mar
I dont get maternity leave.
Unfortunatley as a contractor there is no real protection. I began a new one at the start of the year, ending at the end of this month, with a verbal contract that if there was an apt worker willing to fill in the time I was away (they would have a seperate contract) that this would all be ok. I did find someone with more quallifications than the boss! Unfortunatley now my boss is denying that this conversation occurred and legally I have no stand against this. I was never getting maternity pay anyway, but the place I work at is going under with shonky monetary organizational skills and lots of skimming ect. So in the end I thought it best not to work in a place when the crap hits the fan. Unfortunatley I will miss all the clients and some of the workers.
I thought about talking to someone too, but the loop holes are massive when trying to prove a verbal contract, and the people who did hear the conversation are keeping tightlipped because they want to keep their jobs.
I really have to think though, do I really want to work at a place that has been saying for a while now that they 'need new blood' (translation: young cheap people who dont know the industry well enough to be able to fend for their rights). Also if they are hitting below the belt to get rid of me (and I do believe a few of the older workers), I have to question myself if I really want to assume employment with these people.
Im moving on to better things anyway...we all are! Would have liked the security of returning to work
cheers

Shrink back to normal size? Well, I started out at 132 pre-pregnancy, and now I am about 142. My midwife told me that after pushing a baby out through your hips, you will never be exactly the same which explains why I can't fit into my size 5 jeans...I'm more like an 8. Breastfeeding takes the weight off though...and what's most important is eating healthy and taking care of the baby..the weight will dissolve eventually.

Hello, congrats on your pregnancy. WOW your ultrasound pics are extremely clear and cute!!! Yea, I cant wait for my layer of fat to go away so taht I can have a rounder bump; but I was overweight before i got pregnant. Are you going to post belly pics?

mavy143 - Tuesday, 4 Mar
Thank you for your comment. I was getting anxious about it. I am going to my Dr tomorrow so I plan on bringing it up to her...It is amazing how our bodies turn on us! LOL
How are you feeling?

ladystegmaier - Monday, 3 Mar
I think that's what I'll have to end up doing, although so far all the names that I really like that i've told him is an automatic 'no'....ugh, so frustrating!

ladystegmaier - Sunday, 2 Mar
have you decided on a name yet? I am trying and trying to get my husband to give me some input on names (particularly boys) but every name i say it's an instant 'no'- how'd you get your husband involved in picking out names?! I'm going crazy here although we still have quite a while!

ladystegmaier - Sunday, 2 Mar
i am 5'5' and small boned, which is why he said i wouldn't be showing until about 20 weeks. Which is fine with me, but i think 'showing' meaning to other people because I can tell differences in my body already!

~*GardenMommy*~ - Sunday, 2 Mar
That post you left on 31 weeks is one of the best things i've seen all week. Thanks so much for the laughs. Have a Wonderful week!
;-}

mom3boys2out1in - Friday, 29 Feb
thanks for that joke on the 31 week page i love it it brightend my day

Precious-Jewel - Thursday, 28 Feb
Yea! Just last week people at work started to notice I was pregnant!!!!! MY Doc says I measure 29 weeks...that is 2 weeks difference! She wasnt concerned, but when I tell people I am 8 months, they dont believe me. I know how you feel.....

cassie - Thursday, 28 Feb
yeah I'm definately smaller than everyone else I see on here too. I mean, I have gained 21 lbs but people are always suprised when I tell them how far along I am. Even being small we still could have a huge baby so just be HAPPY we are not like a good year blimp. How much have you gained??

crystal~sky - Thursday, 28 Feb
yes I am told that all the time, kinda weird being I was soooo big with my other 2. My first weighed 10lbs 5 1/2 oz and second was 8lbs 5 1/2oz. I usually gain much more weight in pregnancy as well in the last 6 weeks Ive lost 5 lbs unexplained. I dont know what is going on. My measurements are right on so the Dr isnt worried, but I am.

My sister in law gave knitted my daughter a blue baby blanket when we adopted her from Russia. I was kind of annoyed. They have 3 boys and she always wanted a girl. I think she did it out of spite. Needless to say, it's still in the closet. I'll probably give it to someone else. Or you could ask her where she got it so you could exchange it for a girl one. The clothes you will use. You won't believe how fast they grow. My dad's wife always gets my daughter ugly clothes that are on sale. I exchanged her X-Mas present at Gymboree and was able to get all $11 credit toward something else. She thinks girls shouldn't wear pink and purple all the time so she gets her blue and brown and red. Not my style! Try to exchange it if you know where she got it! I'd be annoyed about the mobile. It was probably on sale and people at your shower were just being polite to her.

mrsjcarr - Sunday, 24 Feb
Sorry that you had a negative experiance at your shower. You can always pass the boy clothes on to someone. You can also donate the items. Sad to say... Some people do not use the registery... I doubt that my family and friends will use mine. I dont really care though, because they buy what they want. Please try not to allow your mother in law to bug you.... They can be funny acting... Good luck on your delivery and new blessing.

djrose - Sunday, 24 Feb
I agree, who cares if its blue.. the baby wont know the differnece, Id be thankful..and hey, i HOPE I get things for differnt ages, cuz when the time comes you will be happy you have it,... so no, it wouldnt make me overly mad to be honest..

snowwhite5thbabe - Sunday, 24 Feb
Well, at least she gave you two gifts (be thankful!) and girls like cars and the color blue(my favorite). I mean, I know it's a little odd- but your daughter will still love watching it...And you will definitely need clothes for her at 18 months...
I remember for my wedding shower, I was given these really ugly striped towels, and I wanted to return them, but couldn't figure out where they had bought them, so I was stuck with them. Well, now, years later, those towels have outlasted all of the other ones we were given, and they are very comfy! So it doesn't matter if I'm drying off with a color I don't like. :)
God bless you and your daughter!

tawnytiger4 - Saturday, 23 Feb
