I hope it goes as easily for me! I also don’t put Shay down until she is completely asleep, although it usually only takes me 20 mins, but I plan to start putting her in her crib sleepy but awake August 1st. I chose to follow the theory that you can not spoil a newborn and did what was most comforting for her. And, I do admit, I love to watch her fall asleep in my arms. But after 3 months I feel it is time she learns to fall asleep on her own. I am expecting the worst but hoping for the best. I do hope I am imagining it to be worse than it will be. How is your baby for nap time? Do you also have to put him to sleep or does he sleep on his own? I must also put Shay down for naps, but if I catch that sleepy window spot on it only takes 5 mins, other times it is still 15-20 mins.

lol.. they definitely are.. already not listening to what he's told to do.. my grandmother whose 91 yrs old just called and asked "is it a crack or what?" lol... she is so funny!

Melanie Rae - Thursday, 24 July
lol..I have a good friend who has a set of twin girls. They are truly a blessing. My boys definitely want a brother. I had a ultrasound today to find out the sex of the baby and the little rascal kept his legs closed the entire time.. my b/f said thats a "good girl" lol... a few times the baby had his hand between its legs so then again I figured that must be a boy since he's playing with it. I go back in 3 wks for another look so hopefully we'll know then.

bellakimmie - Thursday, 24 July
Well that's good to hear, do you think they'll change their sleep pattern on their own, or do we do something??? I forget, my oldest is 8. :(

knockoutmom - Wednesday, 23 July
yea if he seems to be gaining enough i wouldnt worry at all. those pics you posted the other day with his cousin were adorable!!!

Boopy - Wednesday, 23 July
Thanks...maybe I will look into it....or see what my drs plan of action is when we tell him or her that we plan to have another. My concern is that I will just grow more. I grew ones during pregnancy that I didn't even have before i got pregnant.

Right now...I'm not sure I even want another as I'm so tired and my baby likes to be up all night. LOL

I'm so glad that you got that thing out. It probably could have made you very ill!!! Thank God it's not there anymore.

lucky! rileys at 6oz every 3-4 hours. im trying to start a schedule but its hard when she wakes up at different times each day. and theres no way im ever waking her up in the morning to eat! she has been sleeping wonderful though which is a HUUUUGE plus. 9 hours some nights!!!

knockoutmom - Wednesday, 23 July
oh good! cause i had to get new bottles the other day since riley was eating more than her old 5oz bottles can hold, and i ended up trying the dr browns bottles which are awesome! underneath the display i saw the formula pitcher and remembered you talking about it. is that the kind you use?

melanie rae - Wednesday, 23 July
Congrats on your baby coming home! You've been down a rough road and I'm glad all is well now. Congrats on your baby! I'm due on Christmas Day! I have 2 boys already and I have a strong feeling its another boy!

rabekah - Wednesday, 23 July
Saw your message on two month page. I recently moved from Reading, PA to the Hazleton area (near Wilkes-Barre). We were almost neighbors! How's little Michael doing? How big is he now? Is he starting to catch up with his size?

Boopy - Wednesday, 23 July
just posted under your fibroid blog.

vicandjo - Wednesday, 23 July
thank you...she does left her head when we hold her and pushes up...but not when we do tummy time...but yes i know soon when wont be able to keep up with our babys..

thencamebaby - Wednesday, 23 July
I had 2 surgeries at 29 weeks pregnant. My staples never bothered me... I actually was terrified to have them taken out, I felt like the incision would burst open. Luckily that didn't happen! My incision hurt a lot and so did the rest of my tummy. I hope you are feeling good and healing well.

knockoutmom - Wednesday, 23 July
haha reflex. i hate spelling things wrong!! i also hate how ive become use to writing in all lower case! hah. anyways, that formula mixer sounds awesome. i heard you have the formula pitcher. do you like it?

erica93 - Wednesday, 23 July
Izzy breaks free of the swaddle too. That is why I thought the Halo blanket would be perfect for her because her legs stay covered but her arms are free. At night, she would really try to break her arms free (she would be very determined!) and then she would cry after she got them out. we will try it again tonight though! Keeping my fingers crossed!

they dont have generic AR formula? you should check target just to make sure. i was surprised they had the generic enfamil gentlease formula. how did you know michael had reflux? i wonder about riley sometimes.

luvmy-buninoven - Wednesday, 23 July
My boyfriends does have a 4 year old, I've known him since his 2nd birthday.... but he was not with us the last couple months of pregnancy or after I had Jalen. He was with his mom. They have joint physical custody of 6 months per year at each parent. And YES a baby is sooooo much more work. I just kept telling myself - it will get better - didn't always help, but got me through lololol. I'd be next to you in that psych ward!

luvmy-buninoven - Tuesday, 22 July
You felt that way too? I felt so horrible, because I was like, omg... my life is over. Of course I know now it isn't! Must be the hormones when you deliver?

onelove - Tuesday, 22 July
Hey there!

Sounds like you are doing everything right and that things are healing like they should. I know you are so ready to get those staples out. My stitches just now fell out. Mine were dissovable and the ends were hanging on an they were driving me nuts they would snag my shirts and that didn't feel too good. How big is the incision? Is it the same size as the c-section scar?

My Husband was the first to notice my belly had gone down. I remeber waking up and the first thing I did was look at my belly and of course it was all bandaged up but Dean said WOW Laura what a difference. That made me feel so good. I need to get serious about this weight loss thing. I'm finally feeling like getting active. I still have some cramping sometimes but hopefully that will go away in time. I go back to the Dr this Friday for an Ultrasound and I can hardly wait to see what my Uterus looks like-I've never seen it cause it's always had a HUGE Fibroid in front of it.

I did the same thing as you I stayed home and Gage went to either my MIL or my Mom's house and I missed him but it was good to just be able to lay around without having to tell people where stuff was. It was a relief just to be able to be by myself.

I'm so happy you and I both found good Doctors. 3 days after I had Gage I was told I should not have anymore and to go ahead and have a Hysterectomy and the Dr had the nerve to say it will be nice to not have any more periods-I could have decked him right then and there. I was already sad because my Boy was fighting for his life and then you come and tell me that at the worst possible time. I'm just glad I did my research. The Dr. that performed my Myo said that it makes her so sad to think about all the young women out there that trust there Dr and have a Hysterectomy. I'm so happy you and I were able to preserve our fertility!!!!!!!!!

I'm with you I only wish I would have done it sooner!!!!!!!

Get well soon! keep me posted!
Much Love,
~Laura

I know! I feel the same way, I feel even more of a bond with him now.... he's not so much a "chore" lol. Sounds mean, but you know what I'm saying, he's becoming a little person now and it's becoming so much fun!

Jo-Mama - Tuesday, 22 July
OH - I see you're a teacher. So am I. Are you dreading all the marking you'll have to do when you go back to work? I have no idea how I am going to manage it. I'm Canadian, so I am not back to work until April, but I am already stressing over the marking load. I'm a high school English teacher and my world used to be controlled by mountains of essays. Now that Malone's controlling things, I don't know how those essays will fit in.

Jo-Mama - Tuesday, 22 July
I breastfed for 2 months and at the time I thought it was so much hard work and I thought bottles would be totally easy. But bottles are a lot of wrk too! I mean, I hate having to always pack them when I go out - I never know how much I'll need. At least when I was breastfeeding I could always whip out the boob. Grass is always greener...

knockoutmom - Tuesday, 22 July
oh good! i may have to try that. thats costco right? adding up the savings per year that would save a ton! plus formula too! we're starting to use target brand formula. enfamil is $25 and their brand is only $11 for the same size! its got the exact same ingredients so im sold! i think we're gonna be switching her over to the gentlease formula for babies who have excessive gas. they have a target brand of that too!! nice!!

Jo-Mama - Tuesday, 22 July
This is so beautiful. Wow. What a little sweetie.
