Wednesday, 24 September I saw your comment about maybe calling your MIL GM. Whenever we wrote anything to my grandma we would write G-ma on the card so we didn't have to write out "Grandma." My mom decided she wanted to be called G-ma which we did until our first modified it (in baby babble) to GiGi. So now she is GiGi (pronounced G-G) to all of the grandkids (and me too, now!) sbrittc2000 -
Wednesday, 24 September Hey girl, Thanks so much for the comment about baby food. I was thinking it was about 4 months is when I started feeding my son baby food. I have tried Cadence on rice cereal and she did not like it at all. I may try some soon. As far as it being more work, I agree. LOL! Congrats on your little one! Thanks so much again! soon2be3 -
Wednesday, 24 September Good! Most of the people closest to me would say that I am overly sensitive. I hate to offend or hurt people in any way. Thanks for making me feel better about that...I seriously would have been bummed. karina -
Tuesday, 23 September thanks, I will google it, I've never baked cookies before, but I will give it a try...thank's again...I decided to go with the "'lil pumpkin theme" (since the party is in October) I already made one invitation sample, lol...I'm such a freak, hahaha and I'm thinking in pumpkin shape cookies as party favors.. soon2be3 -
Tuesday, 23 September I hope you didn't take my comment wrong about the material things to the bigtomato. I was specifically talking about her situation. Since it sounded like she had all the major stuff covered (house, food and neccessities), the other stuff that she might not be able to provide for Darwin would most likely be material. I am sooooo soooooo sorry if I made you feel bad. It was not my intention. karina -
Tuesday, 23 September thanks so much for the idea! I loved the cookie one...I will look for something similar here in the area, I was kind of thinking about "'lil Pumpkin" theme, but the pastel colors looks much easier... do you have the recipe for the cookies? or you just buy the pre-made one? jmefoster -
Tuesday, 23 September I dont think I could convince him to move. He grew up in this town and his parents are here. Its not that bad here I just need to make friends. The summers are awesome because we have such a great lake. There are 3 other larger cities that have play groups or more things to do with a baby. They are all 40min to 1hour away. Im going to stalk walmart and playgrounds for moms lol. sbrittc2000 -

Tuesday, 23 September Ugh... I go back the week of finals for my grad classes! I really need to get everything set and ready to go before I get back or I'll be sunk! I didn't have to buy books for these classes either... thank goodness! One of the ladies I work with... her little boy wants to play with her more and more now that he's 2 and can run around! So who knows! I don't want to wish away my time with Ben... I just want to wish away the time I spend/waste in classes!!! You lucky duck! You'll be done before you have #2! You'll be done in May! YAY! It sounds like a lot of us are looking to get preggo again next summer-ish! It would be neat to go through things together again! :-) dancinmama -
Tuesday, 23 September You are so sweet about my end-of-pregnancy pic! The dancing definitely helps me stay in shape. Plus, I am 5'11" so I have the extra bonus of baby being able to stretch "up" for quite a bit before he/she needs to go "out." The crazy thing is how big I felt...that is a female for you! mamadimplez -
Tuesday, 23 September Thanks...LOL!! I luv ur default pic:) newmommac -
Tuesday, 23 September I think they work...it's strange though, because my fiance tasted them and he said they didn't numb or anything they just tasted like chalk, but usually after I give them to her she calms down a bit...omg it's a nightmare- she will just break out into a shrieking cry and I don't know why and sometimes shes completely inconsolable :( I wonder if it is this bad with every new tooth or just the first few? Tuesday, 23 September How do you get the grad work done with teaching and the little one? I have 2 grad classes this semester, but i'm going nuts trying to find the time and I'm at home. Do you get any time at school or work, or how do you do it? After Michael's asleep??? ll bree ll -
Monday, 22 September i wouldnt mind being in the negatives :P but i really do need to lose, but whenever i actually get to the point of trying, i stop caring :/ jmefoster -

Sunday, 21 September lol thanks! yea, i wish hubby would be a little more understanding in terms of the work it takes to care for a baby. just b/c i'm not getting monetary compensation he treats me like im on a vacation or something. Danetteplusbaby -
Saturday, 20 September I got strep once a month until they removed my tonsils. Haven't really had it since, but they did tell me that it was a strep virus that made me so sick right after I had the baby. Now I get pneumonia or bronchitis every winter. This year I'm getting a flu shot! storm826 -
Saturday, 20 September sometimes i feel like leaving the baby w/ hubby but the trouble is he works 7 days a week so he uses that as an excuse to not lift a finger to do any housework or help w/ the baby. he only wants to hold her if she sits quietly on his lap while he watches tv. he doesn't understand that babies don't like to sit still for that long w/o being entertained! in canada we get 55% of our income for 12 months w/ a max of like 400 something a week. i only worked part time so i only get about 290 a week. storm826 -
Saturday, 20 September yea, i paid my way through college too but i guess a part of me wished my kids wouldnt have to worry about that. you're right, in the grand scheme of things the baby/toddler stage is brief. now all i have to do is convince hubby - he is utterly against me having any more babies until i get a "real" job, lol. storm826 -
Saturday, 20 September yea, i can see where your mom is coming from. me and my sister are 2 years apart and we got along great as kids, always playing together and stuff. however, i also had my jealousy moments towards her as well, lol. but i'm worried about taking care of a newborn and having a toddler running around. and what about college? having two kids going to college back to back definitely seems like a financial strain... Friday, 19 September People still get it all the time. My 5 year old cousin had it last year. Basically it's what happens if you don't treat a certain type of strep. Easily treated with antibiotics but miserable. lol It was also how we learned I was allergic to penicillin so I had a horrid time with it.
