24.7 hours ago ***Top tip*** Have been recomended both by friends and my midwife to take Arnica a herbal remedy after the birth, it helps with swelling and brusing down there, in the UK you can find it in Boots. Have been told it works a treat taking it as per directions on packet for a week or so after giving birth. Labour dust to all and congrats again to those who have all ready giving birth. xx

Wednesday, 19 November They have given me the Non-Stress test due to my gestational hypertension. My BP has been up to 150/100...I don't have pre-eclampsia but its just high BP. My Dr has sent me for the NST and the BPP ultrasound to be sure the baby isn't under any stress....so far so good...He moved around and passed the BPP u/s within 10mins b/c I had eaten the twinkie beforehand....so, if you can its best to have a coke or juice or something sweet beforehand....Right now my BP has been better so they are not going to induce me unless they see something in one of my appts, I go 2 times a week and have a BPP u/s once a week to monitor the baby.
Good Luck to you!! Hope you baby is doing good!!! jmwolf99 -
Tuesday, 18 November I just read your post about the fluid check. I had an u/s called a BPP where they do a fluid check and also look for other things to see if the baby is under stress. I had my first one along with a NST. But, now I'm having the BPP u/s once a week until baby is born. The u/s tech said the test can take 30mins depending on the baby and if the baby does everything she is looking for. They look at fluid levels and watch for the baby to move their diaphram up and down the "practice" breathing and certain kicks. The baby doesn't have to do the practice breathing but she said these are things the baby will do if the baby isn't under stress. If the baby is under stress the baby will only do what is necessary to survive. I always try to eat something sweet before the u/s or drink some juice to wake the baby up before the u/s. Hope this helps.
