Hi Everyone! I am pregnant with my second child and couldn't be more excited. Being pregnant with my son was easy and I never felt sick. This time around I have had fatigue and morning sickness, yuck! Needless to say, it will be all worth it in the long run!

How`s my pregnancy doing?

Its when you have to collect your urine for 24 hours. I have rising levels of protien in my urine with NO signs of preeclamsia or gestatinal diabetes. They suspect my kidnets are not functioning properly and are wondering if the pregnancy is causing damage to them.

Hello I just wanted to share with you that I take benadryl sometimes and it is safe to take. it really helps me because I work night shift and when I try to sleep during the day with all the bathroom visits sometimes I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep it has been a life saver for me.

My hips/pelvic floor/tailbone has been killing me! I can't sit because of my tailbone, I can't walk because of my pelvis, and I can't lay down because of my hips...lol. What's a girl to do???? Oh well, it will all be over soon.

mjeans - Tuesday, 13 May
My hips have been sore as well...as has my pelvic floor when i sit too long...almost as though my pelvis and hips are expanding - again!!! I think it might have something to do with the extra 'relaxin' in our systems which I understand gives our ligaments a bit more stretch to help with labour? Getting up and moving around more often helps me.

faithmarie - Tuesday, 13 May
I have been having hip pain, but it is when I am sleeping. I get really sore in my hips and upper outer legs after I have been on one side for a while. So, I flip and flop all night long with my body pillow :)

Thanks for your message...are you being sent for ultrasound or anything or does your Dr. just figure you are lucky to have big babies?

melmelwel32 - Sunday, 20 April

What is your diet like? I mean are you eating healthy foods and exercising? Are you eating the recommended 2500 calories or way fewer? I'm curious because I think that may be the reason I haven't gained any weight. I try to have lots of protein, but I still don't (can't) eat the recommended 2500 calories, not even close. Also, I drink 96 ounces of water per day, plus a glass of juice. I exercise also. Did you gain weight faster with your first child?

apreece - Wednesday, 16 April
I've only gained 6 pounds so far but I lost 9 in the beginning. My appetite is really increasing and I'm sure that I 've gained more since last week...lol.

Thank you for the comment. I thought in my situation the ultrasound was probably more accurate!

Anterior placenta means that it is in the front of the uterus. My husband rarely gets to feel the babies movements, with our first son he was already feeling the little nudges by this time. My first son only weighed 5'2, he was a little one. Let me know about the GD test, I had to go through the 3-hour tolerence test last time. It REALLY sucks, talk about major dizziness and nausea. Thankfully it was negative.

aug-babies - Thursday, 10 April
I have a anterior placenta. I ended up taking tylenol and have been resting and it seems to have helped. From reading your profile, were you measuring two weeks ahead? When I had my 20 week US I was measuring two weeks ahead too - weird since I clearly remember my LMP. I have another Dr's appt on Tuesday and will try to get more clarity. Are you having a boy or a girl?

Thanks for the comment!!!

BABYFOUNTAIN - Wednesday, 9 April
hey thanks for the comment, i wish it was hemorrhoids! i did call my dr and they want me to take it easy and come in on friday, they are concerned it may be that mucus plug. i hope you are doing well and congrats on your new angel!!

mjeans - Tuesday, 8 April
I have my next Dr's appointment in a few weeks, so I'll know then...also we are having a 4D ultrasound done, so maybe they'll be able to tell. I haven't had my glucose test yet, but don't anticipate any issues as I just have big babies and I'm sure this one will be no different. I will definately keep you posted if things change though.

JanelleMarie - Tuesday, 8 April
He has to be higher up. I am on my feet all day at work and I feel like I have to keep sitting down so I can catch my breath. It is horrible after I eat a meal or something. With my first I didn't have this until the end as well....I am only 24 weeks...it's going to be a long couple of months until he finally drops and I can breath again =(

Hi there, I just read your comment and im in the same boat. Last week when I was 23+1 I saw my GP, he told me I 'felt' about 27/28wks after pressing my abdomen. He told me to get it checked out at the hospiatl straight away. (Well I had another leakage issue I was paranoid about too) I had not considered myself big but of course I was worried so ended up at emergency room the next morning. The nurses/docs did many tests mainly in relation to establishing what the leak was. They were barely concerned about my size. They reckon the leak is urine and sent me home. As for my size, the doctor reckoned I only measured 24 weeks by feeling my abdomen. Did a quick scan, plenty of fluid hb. 143 and sent me home. He said that I had a scan at 21 weeks were everything was fine and babies don't grow that fast and not to mind the GP. I think they were a bit annoyed I was sent in the hospital in the first place. Hopefully now all those samples they sent off are clear, but in terms of size everything is just fine!

mjeans - Tuesday, 8 April
hi...I read your message and was interested as we are measuring almost 2 weeks ahead, but I don't have my appointment again for another 2 weeks, so we may be comparing notes more. Looks like we're blessed to have some big babies (my first was 9lbs)

Keep smiling...michelle

purpleangel - Tuesday, 8 April
actually my nurse practioner had told me i would have the glucose testing done on 04/28 but the OB/GYN that i seen today had me do the test. i didn't know i was suppose to fast. last night i had 1/2 a cheeseburger around 1 am w/ a 1/2 can of coke. when i woke up this morning i cont'd w/ them, i also ate some other things that were sweet. so i wish i could get another test done and do the fasting this time. i suppose i could ask for a second opinion. what do you think?

nimzm2b - Saturday, 5 April
Hi thanks i was getting confused everyone keeps saying 6 months is 24 weeks but that doesn't work out!

Little-Pea - Friday, 4 April
Thank you for your comment. I've been telling the doctors and midwives they all just say to use the cream. Even today at my colposcopy the doc said there's nothing that can be done. I just have to stick it out. Thanks though and good luck to you and the bub xxx
