actually my nurse practioner had told me i would have the glucose testing done on 04/28 but the OB/GYN that i seen today had me do the test. i didn't know i was suppose to fast. last night i had 1/2 a cheeseburger around 1 am w/ a 1/2 can of coke. when i woke up this morning i cont'd w/ them, i also ate some other things that were sweet. so i wish i could get another test done and do the fasting this time. i suppose i could ask for a second opinion. what do you think?

Thank you for your comment. I've been telling the doctors and midwives they all just say to use the cream. Even today at my colposcopy the doc said there's nothing that can be done. I just have to stick it out. Thanks though and good luck to you and the bub xxx

Thank you so much for your advice.

I wouldn't worry about the lack of weight gain. If you had the same with the first and he was a good size then he obviously took what he needed and left you without. Maybe you could up your food intake to give you a bit more to go on after the birth. A little extra when breast feeding is always helpful, especially if you tend to lose weight easily.

dont let you not gainging a lot of weight stress you. I only gained 9 pounds with my daughter and only 5 pounds with my youngest. My daughter was a little over 6lbs when she was born and my son was right at 6.

Hi Noahsmom, Thanks for the message. I hope your sore throat gets better soon. I'm in South Africa and we have a lozenge here called viral defence . its herbal - but really good and safe in pregnancy. I wonder if you have the same thing

I have also had a cold. I suffered for 8 days before going to the dr. He put me on an antibiotic. For the cough I used vick's vapor rub...it helped more than sudafed.

Nmart23 - Tuesday, 1 Jan

I also got a cold last week. I haven't taken anything but I did find a saline nasal rinse that seems to work pretty good and keeping my sinuses clear and from getting worse. It's NeilMed Nasal Rinse. It's similar to the NettiPot that has recently been on Oprah. It's strange, but doesn't hurt at all.

hi have you tried hot water with a little lemon and honey? a women i used to work with says that it helps to get over colds, also eat oranges or fruit with vit c helps, i hope this helps. congrats with the pregnancy

i had a really awful cold 2 weeks ago and went into CVS and the pharmasist said the only things I could take were regular Robittusin which doesnt help @ all, Sudafed and use Vick's VapoRub.

Everynight I would rub Vicks on my chest and just sit in the bathtub for like an hour trying to clear up my head... it seemed to help. I also suggest drinking lots of fluids to keep hydrated!

Hope you feel better soon!!

MelisaK - Friday, 28 Dec
I have been battling a cold also. I tried some plain sudafed, but it didn't help so I quit taking it. Vick's vapor rub helps me breathe and loosen the congestion. I think mine is about over now...at least I hope so! If you don't want meds then I would say drink plenty of liquids and get lots of rest. I hope you feel better soon.

Angelia - Friday, 28 Dec
I've been really fortunate that this year is the first time I haven't been sick... maybe it's the prenatal vitamins I started taking 6months before TTC! When I started to get the sniffles once my Dr also said NOTHING over the counter. He suggested a humidifier, lots of fluids, and I could take Tylenol for the aches. He cautioned against using any herbals or other 'naturals' because the dosages on packages aren't always accurate and the product hasn't been tested.
