Oct 18 - I'm a little skeptical to write now because my whole page was deleted. But I would like to share that my midwife says she thinks it's a BOY! That will be confirmed on Tues 10-23 by the u/s tech. I can't wait to see if she was right. I'll keep you informed.
Oct 23 - Well, she was right! I just found out that we are indeed having a little boy! I'm at work right now but I'm so excited that I can't concentrate on anything. My mind is just fixated on this little miracle growing inside of me right now. I'll make sure to post some pics of the u/s as soon as I get a chance. Until then...
Nov 2 - Everything is still going good. I have no complaints. So far my pregnancy has been uneventful. Not that I'm complaining. I feel very blessed to have become pregnant so quickly and to be having a rather smooth pregnancy. The hubby and I plan to organize closet space and the nursery this weekend. I hope we get a lot done. I will share pics upon completion. Last night at 7:52pm my husband felt the baby kick for the FIRST time! Whoo-hoo! I mean our little guy has been active since week 15 but every time Burney put his hand on my stomach he would stop in his tracks. You should've heard me last night trying to coax the baby to move for daddy. Maybe this is a good sign that he will listen to mommy outside of the womb! :o)
Dec 6 - I'm going for my 2nd 3D/4D ultrasound today. The baby didn't quite cooperate the last time so the pictures were just so-so. He was snuggled against my placenta like a pillow. I guess that's his comfort zone. I'm hoping to get better pics today. If so, I will make sure to post them up here. I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. This is my favorite time of year. I can't wait to share this experience with my little boo-boo next year!
Feb 25 - I guess it's about time I updated this page, but there's not much to say. I'm still with child. He must be extremely comfy in there. Other than that, I've had 2 baby showers (I would post pics, but I look like a fat cow in most of my pictures nowadays!) His nursery is more than ready for him. At my last 2 doctor's appts, I was only a fingertip dialated and still thick. She wanted to strip my membranes today (Monday) but I was like "Uh uh! I'm 39 weeks and doing fine. Let's talk about induction when I'm 40 weeks." So my next appt is on Feb 28 (Thurs). I'm hoping there's some change. I've been trying to walk a little more and I'm still trying to convince the hubby to give me some extra luvin'. He doesn't really have a problem with it, but he wants our baby born in March so he doesn't want to really rush it right now. Go figure. Who would've thought I'd be having strategic sex. HA! HA! Well, I'll let you all know how it goes after Thursday. Who knows, maybe baby T.J. will be right on time!
Mar 3 - Well, today I'm schedule to go to the hospital at 4pm so the induction (read: eviction) process can begin! Everyone seems so excited but I'm more nervous than anything right now. I don't really know what to expect. My dr explained the whole procedure to me and it's pretty easy to digest. After I'm admitted they will insert a small pill (Cervidil) into my vagina to help ripen my cervix. As of right now I'm only 30% effaced. They will remove the pill after 12 hours and then start me on Pitocin within the next hour. They will then break my water if need be a few hours after that. It all seems to be happening so fast. Just this morning I felt like I had all the time in the world, but now I feel so rushed. They say it's all worth it in the end when you're holding your child in your arms. I hope it's true. Please keep in me and Taylor in your prayers!
Mar 4 - Well after all that I had Taylor via C-section today. I must admit I was GREATLY disappointed but there was nothing I do. He is the sweetest little thing. All he does is eat, sleep and poop. I love him dearly!
