MY BIRTH STORY!!

I know it took me forever to post this...but I have been busy...LOL..

OK, so at my last Dr.'s appt I was only 1/2 cm dilated--which was on June 3. That same day my Dr. told me she would not be in the next week, and if I happened to go into labor another Dr. would have to deliver me...so I was pretty bummed out about that...So I anyways..at this point Im still going to work, walking, hiking up 3 and 4 flights of stairs because I refuse to use an elevator..lol..

So..Thursday I noticed I had lost some of my mucus plug..and there was some bloody show..My friend said I'd be having the baby within 3 days...I thought nothing of it....because I was only 1/2 cm dilated. I continue to go to work Friday with no problems.

THE BIG DAY...

As most Saturday's I go to get my hair done, and I had been dying to color my hair, and I did it on this day with no hesitation..It was a really hot day, around 98 degrees with crazy humidity...I come home, fix lunch for my boyfriend and I...lay down...and have sex..lol..So afterward Im having some cramping, which had happened before so I thought nothing of it, so I get into the shower and keep having back pain and cramps.( This is around 4pm maybe)..I lay down in the bed on all fours because the cramps just wont stop...then I lay down and Im looking at the clock and the cramps seem to be coming every 5 minutes or so..Im thinking to myself, please do not let these be contractions...we were supposed to begoing to his cousin's baby shower that same day at around 5pm.. at around 5pm i felt two big pops in my stomach and water gush down my legs...I yell out to my boyfriend and tell him my water broke..and tell him to run me some bath water...I call my mom, and then call my Dr who tells me to come on down to the hospital..Me being the procrastinator I am I wade in the tub a lil, and start throwing my stuff in an overnight bag..I have to keep stopping because with each contraction water keeps gushing out...So we finally leave our house...I have a towel in between my legs bc the water just wont stop!

As we get in the car and start driving, i get really hot, and Im looking at the clock and my contractions are coming every 2 minutes...Im gripping the hand rail thingie in the car like crazy...Finally we get to the hospital around6pm or a lil after..my parents are already there..get in a wheelchair...and the dumb ladies at the desk had the nerve to ask me what I was here for! My admisson paperwork hadnt made it in yet, so as Im going thru contractions I have to answer a milliuon fckin questions...then they have this lil ol lady pushin my wheelchair when I suddenly feel the urge to throw up..so we finally make it to my room, where I undress and they ask me am I in labor..WTF...YES...what do you think.,..im just pushin out water and blood for no reason! My Dr comes in checks me, tells me in 4 cm dilated....crazy...and at that point I said yes I want an epidural..lol..so now it has to be around 6:30...or later..I Keep tyrying to breathe during the contractions while im gripping the shit outta the bed, and everyone keeps telling me im gonna fall out the bed and to keep breathing...all I wanted to do was to get thru every contraction...Then I feel the urge to PUSH..my nurse yells to my Dr. and she checks me and says im 8 cm dilated...so now it had to be a lil after 7...I still asked for the epi..LOL..she said If i can withold pushing I can get it...so finally the guy comes in...and they only give me a shot of the epi...I lay on my back and I tell my Dr. I gotta push...and it feels like its comin thru your ass..and back..lol..its just crazy...so she said "ok its time"....for those of you who know, and epi doesnt kick in for about 20-25 min..so I start pushing...bc at this point I just wanna have this over with...the first few were the hardest and feeling his head come thru stung a lil, and you just wanna keep pushing bc you dont wanna have that feeling anymore....a few more pushes and he is finally HERE at 7:51 pm lol..just then I started feeling the epi come into effect, I started to feel my feet go numb...TOO LITTLE TOO LATE..LOL..I guess i didnt need the epi afterall...Needless to say I had a quick and hard labor...but he is so worth it...No one can belive how quick it was, but I cant imagine it any other way...My dr said keeping fit and walking really helped with my delivery, but she never had one that quick...I guess Aamir was just ready to come into this world!
