hi there! I cleaned my little boy's w/ some rubbing alcohol on a q-tip once a day. be gentle as you swab b/c the alcohol can be irritating, and i'd blow on it a bit to help it dry. after about a week, it was all healed and looked great. :)

Research the plug-ins carefully! They are an enormous fire hazard!!!

jazzmine - Tuesday, 25 Mar
hi there :)
i just read an article the other day about those scented oil plug-ins...in the news, it said that a whole house burned down, and the cause of the blaze was unknown until they searched the bathroom and found a scented oil plug-in melted INTO the electical outlet! it said that if they wouldn't have done such a thorough search, they wouldn't have even noticed it...so supposedly those oil plug-ins are known as the 'silent asassins' because many of them will continue to get hotter and hotter even after the oil has completely burned out, especially if they have a night-light attatched...so if you're going to have one N E WHERE in your house, definitely keep an eye on it!
sorry so long...just wanted to make sure u have a headsup! good luck with baby :) congratulations!!!!

Newborns and babies are very sensitive to smells. I wouldn't even put anything like that in his or her room. Their sense of smell is much more developed than ours is. Your baby will have his or her own beautiful smells with laundry soap, lotions, etc. I don't even think you will need the scented oil. Sending easy labour/delivery vibes your way!

I've gained 30 pounds! Lucky you!! ;) I kinda wish I hadn't found out what this baby's sex was! It's my last so maybe I should've left it a surprise! Too late now though...lol! It's almost over...how are you feeling?

Hey there. I'm 35 weeks 4 days and I have an ultrasound every week. Every time we see our baby's 'boy parts' ... it is harder to see everything this late but it is possible. Good luck :o)

halesss7410 - Tuesday, 4 Mar
I have ultrasounds all the time...i schedule their patients at the hospital and everytime i have one they say...still a girl!! and you can see plan as day the girl part. I would demand that they try there hardest to look!! good luck.

whitneyc - Tuesday, 4 Mar
I had an u/s a week ago and the technician showed me the girl parts and confirmed it being a girl. They should be able to tell you the sex, for sure!

Thanks for the advice I drank some apple juice and he moved a few times I guess he's a little lazy today I go to the doctor Thursday so I'll discuss this with him then...

When I went for my 30 week check-up I told the doctor that I have been having braxton hicks and pressure down low and she said it's because he is head down and so whenever I have a contraction I'm going to feel pressure. Totally normal.

constipation is normal in the 3rd trimester... dont' worry it doesn't harm the baby :) eat fibers and take stoll softener that should help!

missjess - Sunday, 27 Jan
hey i saw your question about the discharge under the mucus plug section in the forum. My due date is april 11, 2008,and i just had the same thing yesterday. I wiped after using the bathroom and it was this really gross stringy yellow brownish discharge, looked kinda like snot! I know, ewwww! I called the hospital and they said it was normal, but i dont feel confident in the way she said it. Has any1 told you anything about it??

zachiel - Sunday, 6 Jan

YES, sleep now for sure! I still remember how exhausted I was w/my son for DAYS! I felt like a zombie and there's just no other way around it! It's all worth it (until they are teenagers LOL)! I guess your due date keeps changing due to the size of the baby. I go to the doc 10/10,well see what he says then, BUT the next sono will be scheduled that day, so I won't know if anything has changed till later....argh~only 6 more months to go - HA

beachedmom - Wednesday, 26 Sep
Hi~You'll be feeling good soon, hang in there! It's the hormones raging, it's almost like the baby is sucking the life out of us. As far as sonograms, I believe it depends on your insurance. My husbands insurance is through the federal gov and I'll be having 1 every month. They also give me a pic AND a dvd. Take it easy and keep your thoughts to the end of this rainbow!
