Hi there!!! This morning I went to get Donovan in his crib and he was standing while holding on to the crib rail! It was a first and I was so excited!!! Sounds like Shayna had a good appt. and that she is healthy!!!! Yay!!!

That's nice- British Columbia is so beautiful. Well, I could have used a little discretion when it came to eating during my pregnancy, that's for sure ha ha ha!!! Oddly enough, no one at my Dr.'s office said a thing to me about how much weight I gained. It seems they are more concerned if you DON'T gain weight than if you gain a lot. There is no way I would have been able to hike/walk/work eight months pregnant let alone the day before I went into labor! My ankles and my feet were SO swollen that they would start to feel "numb" if I stood or sat in a chair for too long. I had to lie down a lot towards the end with my feet propped up! I can't believe you managed to stay so mobile during the whole 9 months! Wow!!! Good for you! I kept thinking the swelling would cause me to have high blood pressure, but it didn't. Apparently, my BP is on the low side to begin with, so although it was heightened when I was swollen, it was not in the dangerous range. Oh boy, am I glad pregnancy is over!!!! :-)

Forgot to mention- for Father's Day, my brother, Adam and my SIL, Lisa, will be coming into town from California. (They can't wait to see Donovan again.) We are taking my Dad to his favorite restaurant, which happens to be Mexican. Yummy, but fattening lol. We offered to take him to a fancy brunch, but he said "no" and told us where he preferred to go. Adam and I will split the bill for dinner so, for once, Dad does not have to pick up the tab lol!!! Where are you thinking of taking your hubby for a weekend getaway???

My babe also took a tumble off our bed, and on to the carpet. It REALLY scared me....more than her. She was fine.....these kids are so tough. It's heartbreaking b/c you feel like a terrible mom for the rest of the day. At least they don't hold a grudge. Know that you're not alone. :)

Ha Ha- well, I used to have these GREAT jeans that were the exact description I mentioned and I gave them away a long time, but they looked GREAT on me at the time. Now I don't wear jeans b/c I have weight to lose and don't look in the ones I wants to buy. I have always been around 120-125 lbs my entire adult life and gained 60 lbs. during pregnancy. I cannot believe you only gained 15 and that you are LESS now than when you got PG. LUCKY DUCK!!! It is going to take a lot of hard work and will power and at least 6 months to get me to my weight loss goal safely, but when you are a pig like I was during pregnancy lol, this is the price you pay! Thankfully, Donovan was worth every pound I gained! RE: solid foods. I was told all babies are different when it comes to this. Donovan likes his stuff pureed for the time being. I would not dream of giving him a piece of toast or anything like that, while other babies around his age or younger than he is can eat crackers now! I'd rather wait until I think he is ready for that b/c I don't want to see him gag!!! D only has four teeth so maybe the more teeth he gets, the better he can handle chunkier foods. I think the same rules applies to Shayna as well. They aren't going to be on formula and baby food forever lol- they'll eventually eat solid food like we all do- we just have to give them time!

Hey girl! Thanks. I love my bangle as well. My Mom helped my hubby pick it out and she knows my style better than he does lol. Not much going on here. Yes, summer clothes are definitely more comfotable and easier than winter clothes, aren't they? Let's see...what else is happening? Oh, I have embarked on a serious exercise and diet program to finally lose the extra weight and I am seeing some good results and it hasn't even been two weeks. I am thrilled!!!! I can't wait to get to my goal weight. The first thing I am going to do when I reach my goal is get myself a pair of sexy, low rise, hip hugging, boot cut jeans lol!!!

I didn't think D would crawl either as he "rolled" forever and I hardly crawled myself, but he is balancing on all fours and he is rocking back and forth, so soon probably.
