The Dr just called with my test results. My beta is 4,413, and my progesterone is 10. He said both are normal. However my progesterone is on the low side of normal. The normal range is between 9-26 at 5 weeks pregnant, but some people have much higher. He told me that I could go ahead and start using 3 suppstories a day, to help boost it more, until the placenta takes over at 12 weeks or so. So fingers crossed!

Just got my test results back and they are negative, yay! That means the risks of anything happening the next 2-3 weeks are very minimal. I am contemplating whether or not to basically go on bed rest though, since my cervix is still shortening. My own doctor is not a fan of bed rest, but so many sites say it may prevent early labor when you have incompetent cervix. After all the baby is pushing less down on the cervix when you are off your feet. My mom arrived yesterday and is here for 7 weeks, so that is good. It means that either way I can take it easier. I am also waiting to hear back from my doctor about whether or not we can do progesterone injections which is known to help prevent preterm labor. I can't thank everyone enough for the kind and encouraging comments you sent me after my last post. I was so touched by the friendships I have here and so thankful for the prayers. Much love, Karin

Dear friends, please pray for me and baby. I had an extra ultrasound today that I personally requested because is has been 8 weeks since they checked my cervix. I am funneling - meaning my cervix is getting shorter. It is now about 2.7 whereas it was 3.5 8 weeks ago. Studies have shown that women with a cervix shorter than 2.5 has a 50% chance of going into early labor. My doctor took a swap to test for Fetal Fibronectin, a protein that is produced when the body is preparing for labor. I should have the test results by the end of the day. If they are positive there is a 15% chance I will go into labor the next 2 weeks. Please pray it will be negative!! Either way they will be keeping a close eye on me and I will have another ultrasound in two weeks. I am so glad I followed my heart and requested this extra scan, even if I don't have any labor symptoms. Of course I am anxiously waiting for these results - it will be a long afternoon. Girls, I went back to the Dr today, and he did a ultrasound. We seen our babies sac, and the baby starting to form. Right now it just a little white speck inside the sac. I am just happy to know the little one is attached in the right place, and things are progressing as they should. I am going to put the ultrasound pictures up in a minute. YAY!

I am just a little pissed with a nurse at my hospital. Baby and everything else is pinching my nerve and I am in so much pain I can barely walk. It got pretty bad and I didn't have my heating pad since I was at work. So I called DH to see if he would bring it to me and he suggested those ThermaCare heat things. So since I work in a grocery store I wandered over to check them out. All of them said consult Dr if pregnant. So I called the hospital to talk to a nurse. She very snottly informed me that if it said consult a Dr then I should consult him not her. So she had him paged for something she could have answered herself. I understand that sometimes they aren't allowed to say stuff but she could have said it that way instead of being a bitch. I am 8 months pregnant and I am in pain BE NICE!!!!! And I don't call unless I am hurting or so sick!! Thankfully when Dr called me I could use it but it didn't really help!!! Thanks for listening to my venting!!!! Have a great day ladies!!! We are almost done!!!!

I just called the Dr office and my beta numbers are 58 for 12/13 DPO. For what I have read that is pretty good. So fingers crossed this little one stays!

Hi Ladies, sorry for the delay. I have a sick little girl today. She has Strep, I had to take her to Dr after my appointment. Nothing too terribly exciting to report here. He just did blood work, to see what my numbers come back at. He did go ahead and put me on progesterone suppositories. I have to wait till tomorrow as they are compounded (made in the pharmacy). He said that he is optimitic that things will work out this time. So fingers crossed!

Well girls I go to the Dr today at 2:20, so we shall see what he says. My test have been getting progressively darker, but the test line is not as dark as the control line yet. I am 12 or 13 DPO, FF can't decide. Wishe me luck!

Girls, one thing that I regretted when Dakota passed was I said No ~ I didn't want the sono pics (because I didn't know what I was saying). With this recent loss, I found out I could get copies of those pictures from Dakota and I got them today. I wanted to share them with you under my blog "Dakota's last sono". It's the last pictures I have of my baby, Dakota.
