6/24/2008 Oooohh contractions that are actually uncomfortable! maybe this means something... but probably not! I had another doctors appt yesterday. Still almost 2 cm, and just about fully effaced, and the head at -1. She swept my membranes again. If I don't have this baby by friday I have to go sit in the hospital for 12 hrs for "cervical ripening".

6/20/2008 Went to the doctors this afternoon. I am now fully effaced and almost 2cm dilated. The babies head is also a lot lower than last week... I didnt think I had dropped at all, but apparantly in my case you can only tell from the inside lol The midwife swept my membranes. Then later tonight I had blood in my underwear for the first time in 9 months so maybe this is the bloody show/mucus plug... The midwife seemed to think that I would have her some time this weekend!

6/19/2008 Well my due date was 2 days ago... my sister and my boyfriends mom are both finally in town, so any day now would be good :) I feel good, not very uncomfortable. I don't have that pregnant waddle so people are trying to tell me that I won't have her any time soon. I don't feel like she's dropped at all and still havent lost that mucus plug. Oh well, I'm sure she'll come out when she's ready! But I have been having lots of contractions over the past 5 days or so. Yesterday I had TONS of them, but today I havent noticed them so much. Today I'm going to go for a nice long walk with my sister. Maybe that will get things moving along. Tomorrow afternoon I have another doctor's appointment where they will do the non stress test. I would think if she was stressed, maybe shed be in more of a hurry to come out already!!! Maybe I should finish packing my hospital bag...

6/12/2008 I had another doctor's appointment today. She said I was 1 cm dilated, 80% effaced and that the baby's head was at -2. Hmmm.. wonder what all this means for me! The midwife didn't seem to think I would go into labor any time soon luckily, but said that I was making progress. The 20th seems like a good day to me....

I have the baby's room pretty much set up.. as much as I am going to do and decorate until she gets here. She probably won't even use it anyways :)

Thats the blanket I made for the baby... My first quilt... It looks much cooler in person, you can see all the details in the fabrics.. As long as you don't look too close and see all my mess ups haha!

Only a month until my due date, I can't believe it! I don't really feel like I'm that much bigger than in the last picture I put up but my digital camera broke so I guess we'll never know! That was three months ago though so I'm probably just in denial haha!

I went to the hospital the other weekend because I thought I had a UTI, having to pee constantly, and then this pain on the right side of my back started. They said it was either an early UTI or kidney stones... omg it was the worst pain of my life. They put me on antibiotics for a week, but after they were done it came back! The midwife said I still had blood in my urine and it was probably a kidney infection. So now I'm on stronger antibiotics. They also said I was measuring small at 32cm (I was 33 1/2 a week ago though) and I"m 35 weeks, so now I'm having another ultrasound on monday. They said it could just be that the baby had dropped a little bit but they wanted to check things out just to be sure. I guess it's good because then they can double check to be sure its a girl, which hopefully it is now since she has a hundred little dresses to wear already and flowery little sheets!!! The baby is head down already with her back over on my right side and her front faces to my left. That makes it a little annoying since I"m supposed to sleep on my left side and thats where she kicks and pokes me :)

Everything is going good though besides that so I can't complain. I feel small for being 9 months, but I guess thats good since I have no stretch marks and can still wear a lot of non-maternity shirts (as long as they're long enough!).

And I'm SOO glad school is over! I got a 3.66 GPA, an A in genetics, B+ in microbiology and an A- in ecology!! YAYY! I don't have a grade yet for physics but its at another school so its not factored into my gpa anyways. So I think I made dean's list :) and in the fall it will be easy bc i'm only going part time for 6 credits... piece of cake!

2/22/2008 The baby has been moving a lot more and is getting much stronger! She kicked yeorgo's hand yesterday morning and I think it surprised him because she's so strong! Here's my belly picture.... almost 24 weeks, I can't believe it!

1/22/08 I felt her move this morning. I think I did a couple weeks ago too, but for sure this time :) Heres my sonogram from yesterday and some belly pics.

1/21/08 ITS A GIRL! Today took forever to finally get here, I have been dying to find out if there was a baby boy or a baby girl in there! I was so happy that the tech checked in the middle of taking all the measurements because by the end she had closed her legs and we wouldn't have been able to tell then! My mom and my boyfriends mom are so excited because they each have a grandson and wanted a granddaughter too! Everything looked healthy and my placenta moved up too THANK GOD so I'm finally off pelvic rest and can start doin it again! hahah! They also said that I should slow down on the weight gain because 6 lbs in a month is a little much lol!

15 weeks 5 days

12/8/07 Yesterday I was in class and had this horrible cramp.. It was miserable, I could hardly drive home! I got here and jumped right in bed and didnt move for 3 hours. Its funny because I was skinny when I laid down and when I got up I had this big ol belly! I think it was growing pains for my bump getting ready to pop out! So now I look sorta prego, but yesterday morning not so much haha! :)

11/29/07 So today we went to the doctor again for the ultrasound. It was much clearer than I was expecting- we could see the nose and mouth and the little fingers and toes and the arms moving around. Yeorgo said it looks like him haha! But then they said that the placenta is sitting right on my cervix so no sex :( They said they would check again in mid-january to see if the placenta had moved up far enough, but that totally sucks. Anyways, they said it was no big deal so at least the baby is healthy even if I can't get laid haha! Anyways, Yeorgo has been praying for a boy.. I don't really care either way as long as it has my curls I'll be happy lol! Kids with curls are too cute!

11/25/07 I've been trying to think of names I like, but I don't want to share any of them with my boyfriend because I don't want them to get shot down! haha! Well, heres what I've come up with so far....

Girls- Leta, Sabrina, Alize, Evelaina, Abella

Boys- Josiah, Ezra.. can't think of any others!

My first doctor's appointment is tomorrow afternoon!!! I'm scared and excited, I just hope everything is okay.. and then afterwards I'll be even more scared because then I have to tell my parents!!! AAHHHHH!!!!!!!!

11/16/07 Not much new or exciting... just had to put up these adorable pictures of my adorable nephew!

Awe! He's the happiest baby ever.. well, until I have mine of course ;) Anyways, my life is totally boring. My boyfriend thinks I'm out doing fun and exciting things while he's at work, but little does he know I sit here all day studying (and going online lol!)

11/10/07 Why is my picture all stretched out making me look all fat? I'm not supposed to be fat for a few months still!!!! haha! How do i fix that?

11/9/07 -- Thank god my nausea has gotten better over the past couple days. Is it relieving to throw up or does that not make it go away either? Anyways, my first appointment isn't for a few weeks still, but I went to this pregnancy center 2 weeks ago to have an u/s because I had some bleeding and wasn't sure what to think. If i wasn't pregnant, just think all the fun things I could be doing ;) But everything was fine and I got to see a little heartbeat and all that.. it was pretty cool. I feel pretty good for the most part, just tired and nauseous and my boobs are so sore. I think I'll get some clevage for the first time in my life.. hopefully before my belly gets big lol!

I still haven't told very many people.. my sister, my best friend, my boyfriend and his mom. They're all really excited.. probably more so than I am. I didn't tell my mom yet because I don't think she can keep it a secret- she'll be way too excited! How should I tell her? Any good ideas?

I've also been having ridiculous dreams. It's always somebody trying to kill/hurt me or someone I'm close to. At first it scares me, and then I remember its a dream and start fighting back. It's so easy to kick ass in dreams haha! I've killed like, 10 bad guys in the past week all in my sleep hahah! So corny, I know, but I can't help but be amused. It freaked me out at first, all these dreams about killing, dying and violence, but when I told my sister she said that that was all she dreamt about her whole pregnancy. lol, weird!!

I just found out 2 weeks ago that my boyfriend and I are expecting our first child together. Not exactly what I had planned for my last year of undergraduate school, but thats life :) I'm 21 years old and am due on June 17th. My friends and family that know already are really excited and supportive, especially my sister because she has a 6 month old boy! Thanks for checking out my page!
