***I had gastric bypass surgery on August 27th, 2007. I had the surgery with the intention of getting myself healthy and losing the weight I had consistently put on in the last 5 years of my life. My ulltimate goal was to become pregnant while HEALTHY as compared to my first pregnancy that had numerous complications that I relate with my poor health, although there is no evidence that proves my theory. It was just very important for me to do everything right this time around. So I had the surgery, I've lost almost 100lbs in 6 months, and here I am PREGNANT AGAIN! My dreams are coming true as we speak and I just couldn't be happier!
Here is a before and after show for you all... the first picture is me and my husband 1 week BEFORE my surgery. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th is me 5 months out from surgery and 7 weeks pregnant :)

January 31st- I'm brand new to this VIP page and am currently 10 weeks pregnant. I've had my first vaginal ultrasound at 7 1/2 weeks as I was concerned that I had lost some of my pregnancy symptoms. I was happily surprised when we imeadiately saw the babies heart beat and that all was fine. My next Ultrasound appointment is scheduled for February 19th and I'm SO anxious to see the progress of our little one!
February 2nd- Just another day, the morning sickness has slowed down considerably. It started right at 5 weeks and continued until a few days ago. I was terribly sick with my first son but it was later on during my pregnancy and let up around 16 weeks. Things are a little different for me this time around as I had Gastric Bypass surgery 5 months ago. Now when I get sick after eating, I can't quite be sure if it's the m/s or sugery related. I'm just happy it's easing up already. My only concern is that was a sure fire sign to me that I was still pregnant. Not being sick scares me as I really don't have any other sign other than sore nipples and those seem to come and go. I purchased a baby doppler on Ebay but the only truely distinct thing that I'm picking up is my own heart beat, I'm still very early at 10 weeks and still a little overweight. I'm hoping that's why I'm not finding what I'm looking for and that it will come with time. I'm just so anxious for the 19th so I know for sure, the last one we had was SO reassuring. I think I'm just going to be a worrying mommy to be this entire pregnancy due to the complications we had with our first son. If you're interested in hearing about his story, please visit his page. Well that all for today I guess.
