(On the main photo I am 37 weeks pregnant with my first baby)

Hello!
My name is Olga and I love being pregnant very much! I gave birth in February 2008 and I hope I can get pregnant again in the near future.

My first pregnancy was very easy. No morning sickness, no stretch marks. I did not gain much weight and I was only 140 lbs at 38 weeks. I was never sick. My pregnancy did not last too long (40 or more weeks) so I did not get tired of being pregnant too :) My water broke at 38 weeks.

Both my husband and I have not been working since we got married in 2005. Yes, we can afford it and we can afford having many more children :)

We love children! My husband would like to have 5 or 7. I would like to have 3 or may be 4. Time will tell.

Our first baby is a very good baby. She is never really fussy and as long as we change her diaper and feed her in time she is a very happy baby! At 2 months old she started to sleep from 9 pm till 2 am and then after her "early morning" snack she would sleep till about 6-7 am.

We love taking care of her and she thanks us with her beautiful smile :)

I am also very petite and have small breasts. I was 105lbs before pregnancy and gained almost 40lbs. Now I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight. In the last month my breast has also become softer but that doesn't mean you don't have milk. I notice that since I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight I have to eat A LOT to make milk. I almost have to forcefeed myself just to maintain my weight and produce milk now. I think the Medela Symphony or Lactina are hospital grade. However, if you are already feeding a lot of formula then your breasts are definitely not getting enough stimulation. I think you need to work very closely with a lactation consultation if you truly want to continue breastfeeding. Emptying your breasts completely will help with milk production. It signals your breast that the baby needs a lot more milk. Babies go through growth spurts around 3 weeks 6 weeks and 3 months (around every 3 weeks) and at that time they might feed much more often (10-14 times a day) and this signals the mother to make more milk. If you don't do the same with pumping you will not be able to keep up with the baby. You might want to learn the Marmet technique of hand expression since you can use it after you pump to empty your breasts more completely and it should not be painful http://www.medelabreastfeedingus.com/tips-and-solutions/130/how-to-manually-express-breastmilk---the-marmet-technique You can also try Fenugreek or talk to your doctor about getting a prescription to increase milk supply. I think you can do it if you are prepared to put in a lot of hard work. Also, have you tried using a nipple shield to teach your baby to latch? Try contacting your local La Leche League leader as well... they might be able to assist you at home. Massaging and expressing with your hands will be much more comfortable and LLL leaders might be able to teach you how. I use a combination of pumping and massage. I keep suggesting hand expression because I use to find pumping painful as well but hand expressing was never painful.

Hi Olga! I am doing really good... A little tired, but Maximo is my 3rd boy, so I still have 2 more boys to share my time with...
My sister in law pump her milk for a month because her baby was both at 7 months... Too tiny to attach to her breast! And her milk supply went too low... But then again he was in the hospital, not with her...
Have you ask a nursing consultant how can you get your supply up?? Warm compresses!!! That might help to avoid having pain while pumping... I also hand express a little before using the pump...
Maximo won't take a bottle!! Not even with my milk... I have tried several times and he just cries!... Not good! He has to come with me everywhere!!!
Hope you enjoyed your 1st mother's day!
Happy Mother's Day!

Hi Olga, well my story is different in a way and similar in another... yasmina used to nurse beautifuuly and i used to pump, but she didnt get enough and lost weight, so i had to supplement with formula and i believe it was a mistake cause now she is refusing my breast!!! she cries soooo much when i put her on it, she is 8 weeks old and i feel bad cause my supply is soo low these days, i used to pump 500 ccs a day and now i can hardly make 150 :( .. I am pumping and pumping but still nothing :) i drank non alcoholic beer and it DID help.. try it, there is a brand called moosy, not sure u have it though..

good luck to you and pray i will get some milk too :)

Maybe you could try renting a hospital grade pump? It's suppose to be better than the PIS. I am using the new Medela Freestyle and it works for me but I notice that I can still hand express a bit more after I pump. Maybe you can try hand expressing after you pump to empty your breast as much as possible? Is it possible for your baby to learn to latch now? Some do learn to latch as they get older.

I find that if I use a warm compress or hot water bottle on my breasts, and then massage the breast (google hand expressing milk) really helps letdown and how much I can pump. Which pump are you using?

Hi Olga I just read ur comment... I don't know how true it is but I heard that if you drink a can of beer it'll make you produce milk... Now don't trust me on this cuz I never did but if you do it, let me know if is true :)

It's amazing all the changes that they go through. After going through this with three other children, I find that every little thing that Evan does STILL amazes me!! He's in that smiling/cooing/"talking"/laughing stage. I can be having a HORRIBLE day and all it takes is one smile from him and my heart melts and suddenly nothing else matters.

I hope you have a VERY good mother's day!! ^^

In the first couple of months milk production is driven by hormones. After that it is driven by supply and demand. If you want to increase your milk production the best way to to nurse your baby directly or pump more often. If you start supplementing with formula instead of feeding directly then your supply will only go down because you are not telling your breast you need more milk.

Hey about the milk thing I actually made less milk when I was pumping and when I went back to just nursing I started making a lot more again. I also started drinking barley green once a day and that really seemed to help. Now that I'm making a lot of milk again I pump 1oz from each side before feeding my son a few times a day. I only freeze 5oz a day though so must of the time I just feed my baby. Good luck!

We're doing good, we named our little girl Michelle, she'll be 1 month in 5 days:) I feel very good, my delivery was pretty easy and quick, I already healed and have no bleeding. Well life is good, I'm INLOVE!:)
How are you, how is little Olivia doing?

well thank you. I actually wanted to stop after I had my daughter. I was 14 when I got pregnant with her. the reason I didnt want anymore though is because I just knew in my heart that I could never love any other human being as much as i love her. and I was afraid that if I DID have another that i might not love it as much as her. My mom always said that she loves all her kids equally, but that she has different relationships with all of us. back then I didnt see that but now I really do. And now I realize that all the love I have keeps growing and I am soo anxious to share that with other children. btw, is that your baby in the pic? because thats one beautiful baby. its a pic that should be on a KODAK moment or either one of those snuggles fabric softner commercials. well TTYL~!

Well Olga , I am pleased to meet you! Well personaly I think you sould abandon the mini pill. The desire for children and the depth of your feelings should come BEFORE wheat you family say. My Husbands and my family would have me NEVER be pregnant again. I have realised that they are only portaying feelings of inadaquicies that they have within themsleves! Really, 2 children under three is NO biggy! I think you will do fine. The fact that you both love your children is all that you need!

What kind of work is your husband looking for? Maybe an online buisness? If so please feel free to have a look at the business that I have mentioned on my page.

The Ukraine! Wow. I'm teaching my children Russian ( all but slowly thoughLOL) as part of our homeschooling.

I would love to chat and keep in touch!

Have a good day,
+JMJ+
