Hey, sorry it took so long to get back to you. I went into the hospital on my due date March 3rd with pains around 4pm even though I was getting them for the last week but they were getting worse so they sent me back home because I wasen't dialating at all. The pains started to get even more intense so I went back in around 8pm. The doctor was called in and he checked me and said I still haden't dialated and that the babies head was facing up instead of down so that what was causeing all the pain and that he needs to be turned. For about 13 hours of hard labour and still nothing no dialation they had me trying to go in different positions, oh my god did the pain get worse. my other two children were painful but not like this. They tried givng me some stuff in my IV for pain but it didn't do a thing. The doctor told me to try and get things rolling he is going to break my water. So he broke it and after that I dialaed about 3 cm and then nothing for another 6 hours and hell the pain got even worse, the doctor came and checked me and told me that he is going to give me some stuff to bring on the labour more and that it's going to cause even more pain so I asked for the epidural. It helped a lot and I started dialating faster and near the end of dialating I could feel the pain through the epidural. Some where after the drip stuff we did finally get his head turned and thank god his heart rate and eveything stayed good through it all. He is a healthy 9lb, 22.75 long baby boy. Born on March 4th 08. Over 18 hours of hard labour.

congrats on the pregnancy! 2nd time round was alot easier i think if you have gone through it once it prepares you for what to expect! keep active and you'll be fine! xx

Hi. I am still measuring 4 weeks ahead as well. B/c o fmy pre-e it doesn't look like I will make it to 40 weeks anyway, so I don't think they are too worried about her size. I have another u/s this Thurs. to see how big she is now. The bigger the better for me at this point, so we can induce with less worry. But if I were to go full term I would be worried about her size.

no i don't know yet i have my 20 wk on april 4th so only 4 wks til i get to find out!!! I really don't hav an inkling bout wat it is?? Everyone bar one person has said they think it will b a girl think it might b cos my mum had 5 girls n no boys tho....lol!!! so have u decided on a name yet???xx

Everything's goin ok at the mo!!! Started to notice i could feel it recently which is a little weird but gettin used to it, lol!!! Really looking forward to my nx scan n gettin to find out wat it is n too see how much has changed. Still all feels a bit surreal think thats just cos i don't hav any kind of bump yet tho!!!xx

Yeah don't think I've come across many from the uk on here!!! Cambridge....lovely yes...boring yes...lol!!! Not much goes on down here cos the universities own everything n oppose everything...!!! I've never been to sunderland, in fact, to my memory I've never ventured further in direction than the midlands!!!xxx

Hey girl...sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. I am doing alright...I was actually devastated to find out last Tuesday that I have gestational diabetes. It was a complete shock, seems how I did not have it with my other two and it is not like I sit around and eat spoonfuls of sugar all day! Anyways, I have to go and see a nutritionist on Friday and they will give me a blood sugar testing monitor deal at that time. I will have to test my blood sugar 4 times a day...hopefully I will not have to have insulin shots and I can keep on top of it...I will find out for sure on the 18th. I have been an emotional basket case since I found out, because of course doctors are not the most positive and they tell you things like the baby can get so big that they will have to deliver c-section...or...if I can't keep my blood sugar down it is a danger to her and they might have to take her early. However, I am not accepting any of it and we are working on thinking positive thoughts!!! So how are things going with you and your little prince? Any names for him yet? Talk to you soon!

I've been in pain all night and this morning so far...Hopefully I will have him today or tonight...This has been going on for a week now but these pains are more intense. I guess we will see. How is your pregnacy going?
