I am really excited to have been introduced to this website. It's a big confidence boost to know that other women are feeling the same way I am. You always think you are so different than everyone else, especially during your first pregnancy. My husband and I were married in May of 2007 and had orignally inteded to wait around 4 or 5 years before starting our family. Well...plans change! :D We are definitely looking forward to it, because I will admit, I was already becoming very impatient, and anxious with the thought of getting pregnant and having a baby with the man I love. I was beginning to want nothing more. Can NOT wait for our little blessing to get here!

I found a really awesome website that you all may like. Shows really amazing video clips and stuff according to where you're at in your pregnancy. It's http://ehd.org/pregnancy-calendar.php?id=5142 . Enjoy!

February 14, 2008: Happy Valentine's Day!! Wow, finally...some relief! I am beginning to think that my doctor's office isn't the best. Although, they're the most used here in Utah. But that could very well be the problem, considering they're so busy it's almost like they don't have time to deal with you. Anyway, since about my 8th week I've not been able to keep a thing down. They've continued to give me the run-around with phone calls and things. Now, finally, in my 12th week they're starting to realize that nothing really is working!! So 2 days ago they had me come in and they gave me some shot in my hip and sent me on my way with a RX to follow up the shot, and telling me that if things haven't changed in a few days then I need to start getting hooked up to some IV's. I wish I knew what was in that shot, though, because it was magical! Even though it's a few days later and I still can't bend my leg certain ways 'cause the needle was ginormous! ;) But I am extremely happy to finally be having some positive changes. Now maybe I can start to enjoy my pregnancy a little more!

March 19, 2008: Almost been a month since I last wrote. Just not much has happened. My morning sickness has definitely let up and have thrown up maybe once in the last 3 weeks. Amazing! Anyway, more important....WE FOUND OUT THAT WE ARE HAVING A LITTLE BOY!!! We are so thrilled, oh my gosh! I would have been so excited for a little girl too, but I just think boys are so much fun to be around. I am way excited! His name will be Jairus Lorin Hodgson. We got a DVD made, and it's so incredible that we got to take that home!! I watch it constantly since we we got it on the 17th. It's such an unbelievable miracle! I'm in awe everytime I pop it in. What's more amazing is the fact I can see him move on the screen, yet I can't feel that in my own belly. It'll be so interesting the first time I get to feel Jairus movin' around in there. :D Austin's already a proud daddy, and at this moment I feel like August just can not come soon enough!!

April 22, 2008: Today was one of the biggest days for my husband and I. We have been running around doing errands for moving to St. George all day. We're absolutely beat! Among all the chaos and hecticness, we still managed to make our ultrasound appointment. The last time we got an ultrasound we had gone to this lady who specializes in that specifically. This time, I just went to my regular OB/GYN, so I was curious to see if they'd tell me the same thing. Although, after the first one, there was no doubt in my mind it was a boy just from watching the DVD. I put the pictures up from this ultrasound, though....DEFINITELY a boy! ♥ This time around was so interesting because as I saw him kick or wiggle around on the screen, I could feel those movements in my tummy. That was so incredible. I've really enjoyed the fact that I've started to feel him in there. It makes this experience so much more real. As if morning sickness didn't have me convinced enough...Haha. But now it's FUN....not draining. We're excited to get our move to St. George out of the way so we can focus on getting things ready for a little guy!

May 9, 2008: I finally really feel like I'm starting to show. I posted some pictures up today in celebration! :D I have been waiting and waiting to really feel like I'm looking pregnant and not just looking like I need to lay off the doughnuts! My husband and I are in the midst of setting up a baby shower. I've debated whether or not it's stupid for us to throw our own, but when our move to St. George became official, we decided it's important for us to at least throw a going away party, so why not have it be a baby shower/going away party. As soon as Austin gets home from work we're going to get registered at Babies 'R' Us!!! I am so excited to go look at baby things. I really haven't since I've been pregnant. So, it feels like Christmas! :D We just got back from celebrating our First Year Anniversary. We went to St. George to look at a townhouse that we'll be renting for the next six months 'till we find a home. It is PERFECT! If I could buy it, I would!! We totally enjoyed ourselves out there. I can see us living there for a long long time, raising our little boy! Dressing Jairus is going to be easy while he's little 'cause it's hot pretty much everyday, or just warm. It feels like a really really safe place. I just don't see anything negative about this move, except for the fact that I hope I can find a doctor out there who is willing to take me this late in my pregnancy. But I really don't think it should be a a problem because John's wife (the guy who offered us these jobs) works for IHC, so she knows plenty of doctors and people to have me talk to.

May 21, 2008: My newest favorite thing to do is go walking while I'm pregnant! Not only do I get my excersize and get to spend quality time with my husband when he comes along...I get the baby to move around like crazy!! It's the highlight of my day. He's getting so big, it's crazy to me. I've never really been around anybody pregnant growing up, so this is extremely surreal to experience firsthand. I think the movement of my walking for longer periods of time is soothing to him and he moves with me or something. I think I've started to recognize when he stretches and his little bum sticks out near my belly button. It's so cute. Amazing how much you can feel it. Sometimes he'll hang out more on my right side, so my belly is lumpy and lopsided by the time we get back home, haha! It's just such an interesting thing to go through. I get more and more excited everyday to actually get to meet him, because everyday it gets more and more real. At first it was just sickness, now it's fun and exciting mixed with a little sickness ;) Only thing I wish I didn't have to do right now is work. I'm so exhausted all of the time, and work is the last place I want to be! I probably could put in my two weeks now, since we're going to have to do that soon to move to St. George, but my husband and I work there together, and I don't want to miss out on anything. I enjoy having us both work there, and I will miss it when we move. It's been so much fun!! And we've made some life long friends and I don't know if I can just up and leave. And they're really sad because they won't get to see Jairus when he's born. At least not until Austin and I are comfortable driving back with him.

July 24, 2008: So St. George isn't happening anymore, which is fine. Yeah, the money we would have been bringing home with that new job would have been great, but the doctors told me I shouldn't move right now. So maybe it'll happen after Jairus gets here!! If not, my parents said they'd put up their place in Arizona in order to have somewhere for us to stay while we found jobs and such. I would LOVE that!! Arizona was my first choice. But we'll see how things go. Anyway, I am SO ready for this pregnancy to be over. I've been sick all over again. Last night at work, I had to run to the family bathroom and throw up. I didn't even know I was sick, until I was sick! Then, to top it all off, I peed my pants from throwing up! Eh. I felt humiliated to be at work with that happening so I just started bawling and wishing that I wasn't pregnant anymore. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to be pregnant, I'm just so done with how it interupts your life and I'm just so anxious to meet him already as well! I went to the doctor the other day and he told me his guess on Jairus' weight is between 4 and 5 pounds! That was exciting to hear. Only about a month left....

September 4, 2008: Been quite a while since I last wrote anything. Kinda had my hands full bein' a new mom as of August 15, 2008!! This little boy is the greatest baby I have ever been around. He's very good about sleeping during the night, which of course we love! We had his first pediatricians appointment two days ago and we learned alot about how to teach him when we sleep and things. So far, it seems to be working perfectly! Hoping it keeps up. :) At two weeks he has already accomplished rolling over. And he's getting pretty good at holding his head up on his own! Imagine he'll be a pretty strong little kid. We love him with all of our hearts, we couldn't have asked for a better baby! I can't wait of my parents to get the chance to meet him. They live in Arizona and haven't had an opportunity to leave work and get out here. We're thinking we may be taking Jairus on his first trip pretty soon...because if they can't come here, we'll go to them. :)

I have never been in labor before but from athe questions about it that i've asked my mom, my aunts, my co workers with children they describe labor just how you describe how your feeling right now i would deffenatly call your doctor

tasha08 - Monday, 28 July
hey girl! in response to your post in the room, i would say that you should give your dr a call. it does sound like the beginning stages of labor. they even say you might start shaking when you get into active labor...so you may want to call asap!

mumofsix - Friday, 25 July
It's funny but I actually feel more content now that I am only 1 week away. I guess it's because you know the end is really there. Those last weeks will go before you know it. Your photos are great by the way you look fab.

Payden and Aubrees Mom - Friday, 25 July
No, I didn't worry because I wasn't emotional with my first pregnancy so I didn't think anything about it. But you will make it a second time. It might not even affect you the second time around, and if it does, just think about what a wonderful thing is going to become of it. You'll be ok. It's almost over with, just think positive. I know it's hard, believe me. I don't know how I'm going to make it another month, but I don't think I will have to worry about that. I'm hoping she will make her grand entrance in the next couple of weeks. But, if you need to talk or vent, I'm here to try and help you get through it.

Dani and Xander - Friday, 25 July
Thanks!!! I will have the room finished this weekend...Ill post them up soon... you know you could do atleast one wall that way you will only have one wall to paint back to white...

Payden and Aubrees Mom - Friday, 25 July
You haven't been negative. If you have I haven't noticed. It'll get better. I haven't been emotional yet, just frustrated at times. But don't worry about it, it will all pass. And I'm sure Austin is just fine. I don't like being away from Andrew either, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Just think, he'll be back tomorrow and everything will be back to normal. Hope you have a good day!!

Payden and Aubrees Mom - Thursday, 24 July
Oh honey, the peeing in your pants gets worse the second go around. Everytime I threw up or coughed real hard, I would do that. It got to where I had to wear a kotex or panty liner for a while. It sucks!!!! I wasn't having contractions yesterday, I just had real bad pressure, lower than usual, so I figured she dropped and I could barely walk because of it. I really hope it's all over with soon. I'm ready for my baby girl to get here. This lady I used to work with when I was a bank teller came by here yesterday and dropped off a gift and she had gotten Aubree all kinds of stuff but one thing she got her was a little baby doll that said "my first doll" on it, well anyways, Payden got it lastnight and hugged up to it and said, "awwwww....baby"!! It was so sweet. That made me feel good, and made me feel like he's going to do good with Aubree. He's starting to get excited everytime he sees a baby. I just can't wait to see how he's going to be with her.

Payden and Aubrees Mom - Thursday, 24 July
I feel better today. Still uncomfortable but not like it was yesterday. I got some good rest lastnight, so that might have alot to do with it. How are you feeling?

Payden and Aubrees Mom - Wednesday, 23 July
Yeah, Andrew acts like a little kid when it comes to certain things. You should see him at Christmas. He plays with the toys more than Payden does, LOL!!!! But, I can see Austin getting aggravated having to buy alot of the stuff, considering that's what showers are for, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Just keep everything that you have for Jairus that way all the big stuff is taken care of when you decide to have another baby. That's what we did and it has helped out alot. The only big thing that we need to buy is a bouncy seat and those are not expensive at all. Anyways, hope you had a good night, and I'll talk to ya later!!

Payden and Aubrees Mom - Monday, 21 July
Oh yeah, he's excited. You should've seen him yesterday looking at all the clothes she got at the baby shower. He was like, "I got to get her picture in this", and "I love this outfit, she's going to be beautiful in this", and just different stuff like that. It's funny, he's always trying to act tough and crap, but now when you talk about Aubree, it's like his heart melts, she already has him wrapped around her finger and she's hasn't even made her appearance yet!! I love it, simply because he didn't want a girl, he wanted another boy because he doesn't know how to care for a girl as in diaper changes and baths. He said he would be uncomfortable, but I told him I would be there to help him, but he really needed to get over that incase I wasn't there for some reason. And everybody keeps telling him that she'll be a "daddy's girl", so I think that's made a difference in the way he feels about having a daughter.

Payden and Aubrees Mom - Monday, 21 July
I will be working up until I actually go into labor. I have a sitting down job so it's not like running all over the place or constantly standing, which helps out alot. I just wish I had a recliner here at my desk, LOL!!!

Payden and Aubrees Mom - Monday, 21 July
Good Morning!!! How was your weekend? I think it went by way to fast. I'm so ready to be off!! Anyways, I hope I don't notice a big change when she drops, because it already hurts, alot of people have told me it looks like I have dropped but the doctor says I haven't. I really don't think I'll make it 6 more weeks, there's just no way!!! I'm thinking maybe 3 more weeks, 4 at the latest.

Payden and Aubrees Mom - Friday, 18 July
She still hasn't dropped, but I don't know where she's going to go when she does because I'm carrying her low anyways. All of this pressure is killing me. My pelvic bone started shifting a couple of months ago, and it's still doing it I guess because it feels like my pelvic bone is going to pop out of place everytime I stand up. It's horrible. But my contractions have gotten as close to 12 min. apart but most of the time it's 20 to 25 min. apart.

Payden and Aubrees Mom - Thursday, 17 July
No, I haven't went back or talked to him. He told me Monday as long as they were more than 10 minutes apart, everything would be ok. I've felt better today, not 100%, but better than what I have been. Just a little pressure and nausea today. How are you feeling?

Payden and Aubrees Mom - Wednesday, 16 July
Hey, what a day!!! Not feeling all that great. Was having contractions again this morning. I told Andrew something just didn't feel right.

Payden and Aubrees Mom - Tuesday, 15 July
Yeah, I know. I can't wait!! I'm still a little nervous, but the way I've been hurting, I think I'm ready!!

Payden and Aubrees Mom - Tuesday, 15 July
Just wanted to tell you that I went to the doctor yesterday and I'm dialated half a cm. I know that's not much, but it's a start!!!

Payden and Aubrees Mom - Monday, 14 July
Well, Andrew went to his mom's Saturday and ordered the crib set. She finally told him that she would pay for it if he would come order it because she didn't know how. But I think that's her way of saying,"If you want it, you gotta come do it yourself." Oh well, it should be in between the 23rd and 29th. I had a rough weekend. I started having painful contractions Friday night, which makes me think they where the real contractions and not Braxton Hicks, cause those aren't suppose to hurt. They started out about 20 minutes apart then shot down to 12 minutes apart and then back up to about 20 minutes. They finally stopped late Friday night and I was able to go to sleep then they started again around 3:30 in the morning and was off and on all day Saturday, and then yesterday I was fine, until I went to bed and then I was sick all night and couldn't sleep and this morning I'm having alot of pressure. But I go back to the doctor this afternoon, so maybe he can tell me something. I hope I'm not trying to have her this early. So how was your weekend?

Payden and Aubrees Mom - Friday, 11 July
Dry socket is where are air gets in the gum where the tooth was pulled and drys it out, an dbelieve me, it hurts!!!
What are you doing overdoing yourself? I know how you feel about wanting to help when nobody else will, but you gotta think about that baby. Just take care of yourself and let me know what the tests say. I've never had the numbness, so I don't know what to tell you about that.
I can't stand waiting on someone when they are suppose to do something and they take their time about doing it. Don't tell me you are going to do something if you're not going to do it right away. It's not like I have alot of time left, know what I mean? I want everything to be ready before Aubree makes her grand entrance, so I don't have to worry about it after we get home from the hospital. I'm glad to hear you got the stuff from your mom. I can see where it would be aggravting that she forgot, but then again she probably had alot on her mind.

Payden and Aubrees Mom - Friday, 11 July
Hey, I set up dry socket and had to have it packed twice. It sucks!! Anyways, everybody is having computer problems here lately. Andrew's a computer genius too. It's nice to have somebody smart in the family, lol!!! As far as Payden, we only have the border up so far. We are waiting about the crib until we get the bedding set for it, which his momma said she was going to get, but she hasn't yet. I told Andrew that he needed to tell her that if she was going to get it, she needed to hurry up because it was on sale and we can only get it online, and they might not have it very much longer. So I don't know. I'll give her a week maybe, and if she still hasn't ordered it, then I'm going to order it. How have you been?
