~Here's a little background info~

My name is Laura and my Husband's name is Dean! We found out we were expecting February 22nd. Our sweet baby Gage came 7 weeks early on September 14th 2007! The birth story is posted in my children section. It's been an amazing adventure!!!

Gage Michael Is Here!!!!

~Gage's 1 year Dr. Appointment~

I took Gage to his 1 year appointment and he is 31 inches long and 21.3 pounds. He is in the 90th percentile for length and 25th percentile for weight. The Dr. was very pleased with his size. He is now off formula and onto whole milk. He literally went from being a baby to a toddler in an hour. Makes me kind of sad!!! Our little bambino is getting to be a BIG BOY!!!

Hey Laura!

I am feeling ok. I am still sore, of course, especially if I stand for any length of time. The staples in my incision are driving me insane but they will come out Thursday morning. Also, it is weird to be alone during the day. Michael has been going to my mom's while Bobby is at work because I can't take care of him by myself yet.

Bobby and I noticed a huge difference in how it feels just to hug! I did not realize how much that sucker was in the way. Now that I feel thinner I am pumped to start dieting again. I am going to start tomorrow as that gave me a whole week since the surgery. I can't wait to see how I can do by my 4 week check up. I would also like to buy new work clothes before the school year starts so hopefully I will be able to buy a smaller size.

I don't know if I told you but before pregnancy I saw a Dr. who would not remove my fibroids til I got below a certain weight. I really thought I would never get rid of them. It never occured to me to look for another doctor. I sort of thought I would just have to live with it b/c I was heavy. Thank God my surgeon was the doctor on call when I had my emergency c-section and he came to me about removing them. Despite the recovery from surgery, I already feel so much better. I wish I would have had it done a long time ago!

You aren't kidding. My two teenage sisters came to hang out with me and watch tv last night. I had to keep telling them to stop being funny. You also were so right about the bumps on the way home! That sucked too! Now that I showered I will eventually get dressed in a clean night shirt and continue to sit on my arse the rest of the day. i slept in the recliner last night b/c I was afraid to lay down flat! I am just getting staples out next week, but I really would love to see pics and video of mine, and yours too. Since yours was all laproscopic it will be cool to compare! I hope your ultrasound shows everything is great!

OMG. I took a superfast shower at the hospital yesterday, but took a real shower at home today. I was in crazy pain. As soon as I sat down I felt ok but holy crap that sucked! I guess it has been only 48 hours.

Hey! I would love to see a pic of yours! I thought people would think it was gross, but they seem really interested. Next thursday when I get my staples out I can find out how much it weighed, etc. My stomach feels a lot smaller. I still have one fibroid wrapped around a fallopian tube so he left it alone. I already feel so much better than my c-section recovery, so I can't wait to see how I feel in a week! Let me know if you post yours. The science teacher in me wants to see it!

Hi there...how are you doing???

Wanna know something funny? Like I said...it's my due date today...and guess what???? I got Aunt Flo!!! I feel like I'm giving birth...LOL! So ironic. Also...it's the 3rd time I've gotten it since giving birth 3 month ago. I never got a break...even though I breastfed for 2.5 months. I was actually a couple days late this month and thought I was pregnant cuz I'm never late...but i guess it was meant to be to just get it on my due date...how sweet.

And as for me asking for help or accepting it from others...I'm the worst....I never accept or ask.

How's it going? I haven't been on here in a while. How is everything going? Are you feeling back to "normal" yet? I hope you are

!! What's new with Mr Gage? Is he doing anything new? Saying anything new?

We got Addaline's blood test results back and there were some abnormalities so we had to take her in on Friday afternoon for a full blood work up. Her hemoglobin and blood counts were low so when they get the total blood work up results back they are going to figure out how to treat her. Most likely they will have her take an iron supplement but not 100% sure yet. Talk about stressful and me panicking like no tomorrow! UGH!

The girls are great other than that. We had a nice weekend just relaxing at home. We did go out for my best friend's birthday Saturday night and that was a BLAST! I'll email you some pictures.

oh yea you will have alot of those faces lol they are just at that age now... but as long as were home and some new comes here she is fine. but if were out and about the lip gets poked out and her head goes down lol so cute! dont be embarrsed about it all kids do it at one point or another. hope you have a great week!

Ha! You sound like my sister Katie. She had one, who is now 3. She sees me and my sister Christen going through the infant stuff right now and says she doesn't think she can go back to the baby phase. But I grew up in a huge family and would love my kids to have a few siblings. Thankfully many of us live close enough that they can grow up close to their cousins too. I saw a Christmas pic on your page I think with all the babies from your family...ours is like that too with a lot of babies right now.

I am 31 already, so you are ahead of me!!! LOL.

My surgery is Wednesday, and I'll be home sometime Thursday. I'm sure I'll be online as I don;t sit still very well!

Actually a friend of mine told me about Mulberry Bush. Have you ever heard about them? They are doing a resale weekend here the last week in July so I am going to take my stuff there then. Wish me luck!

This weekend my daughter is playing in a competitive soccer tournament in Oklahoma on Friday and Saturday and then on Sunday we leave for our short vacation! So yep... we have plans and we are going to be buuuusssyyyy!

Thanks for all the great advice. I live so close to my parents and three of my sisters so thankfully I will have plenty of help while I need it. My hubs will be home for the first 4 days, then Michael will go to my moms while he is at work for a few more days. I will make sure I get up a lot. I did after my c-section too. Doc said it should be much easier than that!

Michael is getting huge! He weighed 10 pounds on our scale at home this morning. He is getting on a good schedule at bedtime, and really starting to wake up from a the extended newborn phase preemies have. My sister and I were due the same week, and her daughter was full term. So it is great to see Michael is the same size as the baby who was born when he should have been. She is smiling, so I hope to see it from him soon. He has given a couple starter smile to his dad..... of course!!!

How old are you? We know we want a few more kids and I am already 31, so I can't wait too long! I am getting old, LOL.

Thanks again for all of your help and advice. It makes me a lot less nervous and more excited about the procedure to know you did so well and are feeling so good now!! I really appreciate it. Talk to you soon, Noreen

hey sorry i took so long to get back you! we had a great 4th of july. we actuallt went to horseheads new york to vist Dave family! we had a great time all though brianna is at the age where she wont go to no one lol she cryed everytime we walked out of her sight but other then that is was good. one the way back we stoped at reptile land that was a cool little place. brianna watched the fireworks with us she just sat on my lap and watched lol never cryed at them which is good i think. are you on the website called cafemom?
